“I’ve come here for years for the bubble tea, but recently decided to try some of their dinners and desserts. Wow – I felt like I had entered someone’s house and had been given one of the most delicious home-cooked Asian meals ever. In addition, the owner always remembers me and welcomes me in. “The atmosphere is very playful, low lit and cozy. I could see myself coming here to work, grab a snack or hang out with friends. They have a few games like jenga and uno and a selection of food. I got 3 different types of the onigiri (Kani, Shrimp tempura, and baked salmon) and they were all fresh and delicious. I started with shrimp tempura and it was so good I went back for the other two. That alone will keep me coming back. The oreo milk was nice, but the onigiri were the stars. I would definitely recommend coming to try the food.“

“This spot is very cute and smells amazing. I love the squirrel! We ordered brown sugar boba and the seasonal white peach oolong tea with white boba. I was a little hesitant because I've had wipe over before that was not very good but this white boba was delicious. It was just a perfect texture and amount of chewiness. They called it Honey White boba so it was sweetened. My drink had fresh peach in it and I absolutely love oolong tea so I love any tea shop that does oolong tea. They also have food here but I didn't try it. This is probably one of my top five favorites!“

“I went for a Matcha 🍵 today and I loved the place and everything, and the Asian worker there did his best and his service was excellent, but he was the only one there working alone, and he had to take orders for about 20 people in the store at the same time. Maybe that’s a lot of pressure and he should have at least one other coworker there to help out :)“

“We came in today with our friends and our daughter. The staff were incredibly accommodating, providing a high chair and making sure we had what we needed. The owners came over and were attentive and showed enthusiasm for us being there as well interacting with our daughter. Food and drink was incredible and came out quick.

“Ordered the strawberry yogurt slush and it was truly amazing! I chose the lowest sugar level and you can really taste the fresh fruit in there (the natural strawberry aroma). The yogurt is creamy and flavorful, and the crystal boba (not sure if that’s the name, the slightly crunchy one) in the drink is fresh too.

“Amazing place! As soon as you step inside, the smell of tea brewing washes over you. I can’t describe how good it smells! I ordered a brown sugar fresh milk tea and my aunt ordered a hot honey rose tea. We both loved our drinks! I also ordered a Nutella cronut, which was warm and freshly made. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. We were also able to get street parking. Overall, we had a great experience! Just be aware that there’s no seating inside.“

“This hidden gem is located on the Boston University campus more close to the gas station, a Target and a new restaurant called Ziggy’s. They do sell boba but I want to take a moment to show appreciation to their macarons. My personal favorite is the fruity cereal. As you can see, look how pretty it looks and taking a bite it is sweet, satisfying and it just makes you happy. I know for me it made me happy. I believe they do buy it from a third party but it is delicious and worth it. If you look at my first picture they do display their pricing and to be upfront it does show “Buy 5 and get one free” however they do not ring it up like that and ring it up as you bought a total of six macarons. So for me, I could argue if I wanted to but I learned for myself that I’m willing to pay all six and the rest of their flavors (vanilla, birthday cake (both a pink & blue)) are tasty and satisfying. I have tried the dark chocolate macaron and it was okay. If you are one of those people that enjoys dark chocolate but want a subtle sweetness then that one is for you. I have tried their Italian soda (the lemon one to be exact) and it was delicious as well. If you want a “healthy option” they do offer Italian soda and their flavors. On the last picture you can see their drinks, pricing and boba options. My daughter and I enjoy this boba shop and it is welcoming and warm atmosphere. I just wished this establishment was more closer to home but I’m willing to travel.“

“My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.

Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!“

“Every time I come here on Sunday in the morning I order Oreo wow they tell me they don’t have boba available that it’s going to take 20 minutes to make.. this is the 4th time this had happen. And last time I. And 4 other people was there ordering drinks with the boba and got the same answer they asked then why are you open. If you know, that is your main ingredients, someone should come in 30 minutes early to make sure everything is prepped before you open. It’s very disappointing“

“I had an amazing experience at this bakery! I bought the Dubai chewy cookies with cheese and monuts, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced.

“As someone who has searched for the best boba in Harvard Square since 2017, I am telling you this is the best spot. It's the classic standby. It's been here for years and it will continue to last, no matter how many other bubble tea shops open (and inevitably close) in the rest of the square. It's consistent, it's very decent boba and tea, it has a nice big menu and great weekday specials, and it's pretty fast.

Ten One is expensive, overcrowded, and inconsistent quality-wise, with a limited menu and slow service; the only thing it has better than Kung Fu is their branding. Tiger Sugar is terrible; the last time I got milk foam there, I could literally see it curdling in my tea.“

A beautiful café that feels so peaceful, considered and thoughtful in its every detail—the perfect place to sit with a friend, or take some time to just be alone and read a book. After checking the reviews I saw this place might have some potential for a good price. It’s a small restaurant with a few tables, and the perfect hominess. We wanted to go out somewhere for Valentine’s Day with our baby, not somewhere too crowded considering she’s in her chaotic phase, and we went here. We got a maki party platter for us and a chicken teriyaki for the baby. It’s an adult portion so we decided to have something for her to have lunch and dinner with the next day. The sushi came out and it was so amazing and honestly super fast too. Then came the babies plate, it comes with a miso soup so we were able to get her to try it and she loved that. Then we cut up her food into bite size pieces and as we were preparing it, even though I personally hate chicken, it was SO FLAVORFUL!! We had to keep going back to her plate for tiny bites because it was delicious, the chicken was NOT dry and it felt so clean and refreshing each bite. Then when in regard to the service, WOW the waitress was absolutely the sweetest ever, was so interactive with our baby and attentive to us. Our new regular place for sure.“

We got the infamous Sho-Gun Matcha/Vanilla Soft Serve Mix With Edible 24K gold , Maiko Special (Parfait) Hojicha/Strawberry Mix Soft Serve and Matcha Latte Float. Everything was so rich in favor. The matcha favor is probably the best that I had so far. You can taste the quality of the soft serve. It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. Definitely, need to try them out“

“This place has all the advantages of the Caffe Nero that it used to be without any of the disadvantages. In other word's it's spacious, has a variety of furniture and seating options (equally good spot for solo laptop work, relaxed book time, group meeting), lots of outlets, nice big windows, a great menu with reasonable price point. Compared to before the business turned over the coffee is better (IMO) and cheaper and the place no longer feels depressing in that way that carbon copy coffee franchises do. The people who work here are so nice and there is always a place to sit! In fact it's too easy to find a spot—please visit Cafe Lava and Bento and support this business so that we can keep them around.“
