“Little Big Diner serves up a symphony of flavors in their spicy tan tan ramen. By swapping chili ground pork for the decadent chashu pork, akin to pork belly, they’ve elevated the dish to a celestial level. The cloudy, flavorful broth dances on your taste buds, while the melt-in-your-mouth pork and perfectly balanced noodles complete the gastronomic masterpiece. For a taste of the best ramen Boston has to offer, Little Big Diner is a must-visit culinary oasis.“

Lamplighter Brewing Co. - Broadway Brewpubs • $$
284 Broadway, Cambridge - 5.81 miles

“I liked this brewery. The interior design was kind of industrial noir but with a friendly feeling and the layout for seating was done well. Very excited I got a seat at the window bar top. Bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They had a unique selection of beer, a few good choices with high ABV, and some beer types I’ve never heard of. I didn’t get one but they do offer flights. They also had a selection of games you could play at your table. The street parking was tricky but that’s because of the Cambridge and not the brewery’s fault.“

“Lots to like, with a couple of notes. Good oysters, good beer, delicious pickled mussels. The seafood is our entrees was very fresh and the scallops were standout. The execution of the spaghetti with clams fell a bit short in the execution: The dish was noticeably sandy and had some shards of shell. We also observed our poured beers sitting for a few minutes before someone picked them up and brought them to us. But overall it was a very good meal in a very pleasant, not too loud setting.“

“The drinks are good; however the space really needs some help. There are over 12 tables in a tiny space, packed against the high top tables, and this makes the space feel SO packed and uninviting. Really need someone to think about the design of this space and it would be 100x better. Maybe a communal table and then some small tables. Just some small tweaks would be a huge difference for this actually to feel like a good meeting spot.“

“A neighborhood hidden gem? A surprisingly good restaurant with hearty, delicious food. The Detroit style pizza was unique and the corner crust is absolutely to die for!Furthermore, the grapefruit tequila sour had a cinnamon flare that ingeniously balanced the bitterness. Why not 5 stars? Perogi’s were only okay, they were oily and not crispy. As for value, the bill was around $80 for: 2 mains, 1 app, 1 soda, 1 cocktail and a 20% tip. Slightly more than anticipated but the food and drink were very good.In all, 4.5/5. Definitely try it out!“

But the manager somehow resolved the situation and we did not wait for so long. The service was great, and our server was nice. We ordered some meat and meatballs that we never tried before. Our orders were made as requested and served in a timely manner.Full Review:Located at The Langham, Boston, The Fed offers a delightful dining experience with its nice atmosphere, good food, and reasonably good service. The restaurant lives up to its description as a British-inspired cocktail bar with a sophisticated New England twist. On our visit, we found the surrounding environment to be pleasant, reflecting the quality settings that The Langham is known for. The Fed, much like the hotel's Grana, provides an inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. We sampled a variety of dishes, including the lobster roll, burger, and steak frites, all of which were delicious and well-prepared. Our orders were made as requested and served in due time, showcasing the kitchen's quality and attention to detail. While we did encounter a minor issue with the hostess, the situation was quickly addressed and rectified by the management. The quality customer service we received in resolving this matter was commendable, and we appreciated the professionalism displayed by the staff.Overall, our experience at The Fed was enjoyable, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience in Boston. The combination of a nice atmosphere, good food, and reasonable service makes The Fed a worthy dining destination. 4/5.“

“Was staying in Medford, working in Boston for 18 days. The food was so good I ate there 16 of the 18 days I was there.(tried some Italian restaurants while I was there the other 2 nights). Everything I ate was great! The chili was the best I’ve ever ate, the wings were awesome, the loaded nachos, the steak tips, the meatloaf, sweet potato fries, the brussel sprouts, the collard greens, were all great and some of the best southern food I’ve ever ate and I’m from South Alabama! And the drinks were great also. It was my home away from home for 2 1/2 weeks. The atmosphere was very welcoming, Scott, Erin and Sylvia took great care of me. We don’t have places like this down here. 12 out of 10 rating for me! Hope I get to come back and visit. Thanks for making a fella from Tanner Williams, Alabama feel welcome.“

Lamplighter Brewing Co. - CX Brewery • $$
110 N First St, Cambridge - 6.96 miles

“That the young man overseeing the entrance and merch counter was reading Sartre’s The Plague was a good sign. So was being located along and near the end of the Somerville Community Path, at least to this cyclist in need of a pit stop. There are three standards by which to rate a microbrewery: food, physical location and quality of beer. Since I only had time (and good sense) for one marzen lager at the bar (tasty and refreshing), and tried none of their food, I can’t rate their beer or food. However, as a place to hang out, either inside—open but small enough to seem cozy, or outside on the patio overlooking The Common, it rates a 5.“

“The waiter was excellent. Good selection of beer and they offer even microbrews in pitchers too. That's a unique plus! I like the old school setting, Brick, wood very rustic. I also like the AC Milan banners. The Antipasto was ok, I would have preferred served more as a misto instead of a cold cut plate. The garlic bread it came with was the best part. Meatballs are homemade and tasty so get them on the pizza. They do not have pepperoni as a topping was a little of a let down. I get it pepperoni is not authentic. But I like it! Pizza would probably score a 6.8 on the One Bite app if I were to score it. It's OK.“

“Went to the Locke Bar for lunch and thought the menu had a great variety of choices. I had 2 appetizers for my lunch (lamb & hummus and the Brussels sprouts) and my husband got the burger. The lamb & hummus was tasty. The lamb was shredded and served with pine nuts and pita. It was a great flavor balance with the pita. The Brussels were crisp and flavorful, I enjoyed every bite. My husband is picky about burgers and thought the Locke burger was perfectly cooked and the sauce on it added a nice punch. I tried a couple of fries and they had a great crunch. I will definitely go back and try some other things on the menu.“

“Unexpectedly very good! Dropped a teenage grandchild off at school on a Sunday before the h.s. spring musical and drove off to downtown Waltham to look for a quick lunch. Parked in a nearly empty town parking lot (2 hrs for $2., a real bargain to us New Yorkers). Walked to Moody St., as usual no reservations, just yelp and hope. The first place we came to on the corner was BTT, looked like some decent vegetarian possibilities on the menu, so we went in. Took a couple of minutes but they did find seats for us (& it didn't fill up in the nearly an hour we were there, so not sure why they consulted over their reservations, but whatever). I ordered the avocado toast and added the 2 sunnyside up eggs option, thinking just avo toast wouldn't fill me, but I even told Niko, our server, that it was probably the best or definitely one of the best avocado toast dishes I've ever had (& it's a favorite of mine so I've had a few!). Two thick slices of a good rustic bread, chunky mashed avocado, greens, and then those perfect eggs - sooo delicious! The decaf coffees were fresh and good. Hubs had their black bean burger with fries and said it was really very good. There's an extensive beer menu, the place is pretty big, it's a college town, and we're guessing it's hopping in the evening, especially on weekends. Can't speak to that, but can say we had an amazing lunch!“
