“It's order, make sure you have cash (cash only), pickup and go...There used to be atmosphere years ago when that door used to lead to a dining room but I'm sure hardly any of the current customers remember that. There's only one Chinese takeout spot that I would choose over them and people who live on the South Side know exactly what I'm talking about.

None of that matters because the food has remained consistently good, prices don't really change to a degree that's noticeable and the portions remain plentiful ⭐“

“I walked in on a hot day to get a Togo order and it rained so I was invited to eat there as I waited for the rain to passed. The best I can explain is that the people who work there are locals and a extremely sweet family the food is more then worth the price I get a combo plus sweet and sour chicken and legit I just paid only 16 and left a tip one of the first times I didn’t feel forced to and wasn’t asked I just felt it necessary.“

“House Lo Mein was excellent. The egg roll was perfect. It was crispy without being greasy. All the ingredients in both were fresh. Lo mein had plenty of meat in it. Service was very prompt. They are CASH ONLY but there is an ATM next door at the gas station. The atmosphere is a perfect walk in five Chinese food place. The kind that you know the food is going to be great. 10$ for the meal can’t be beat.“

From the atmosphere to the friendly, attentive staff and the delicious cuisine, this place has it going on. The scallion pancake was phenomenal!! Everything was and tasted so fresh, even the fried foods, no taste of old or stale grease. Our whole meal was wonderful. The Scorpion Bowl for 2 was as tasty as it was STRONG!! “I have lived in this neighborhood for as long as i can remember and the best chinese place to order. Besides prices it has been going up by a dollar or two but its worth spent. My favorite dish is the singapore mei fun.. the only thing i wish for them to come back again is their deliverys... oh and hoping for them to get a card machine so it can be accesible for people who doesnt always have cash in hand... but other then that.. nnothin to complaint“

“I had a great experience at Fortune House. The food was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The flavors were delicious, from the main dishes to the sauces. “I appreciate the authenticity of the cuisine. Absolutely. This is the only place in Providence ( that I know of) where I can get Dim Sum that reminds me of Chinatown in Boston. Service is adequate,food served promptly. Space has SOO much potential but is currently lacking. If you are looking for romantic,whimsical or exotic dining room atmosphere (go to PF chang) - this is not it. BUT - IF you want to support authentic & varied Chinese cuisine operated by a family (clearly Mom & Pop daughters etc) . Then this is your spot!“

“As far as straight down the middle, take-out, Chinese-American cuisine, there are few places better than Golden City. Portions are great, they nail l the classics, Rangoon’s, spare ribs, chicken fingers, lo mein, fried rice, it’s always fantastic, dive deeper into their Chef Suggestions or specialties and you’ll probably find a new favorite! “I came here with my dad after one of the FIFA games at Gillette Stadium. The food was amazing and the service was great. We ordered the Vegetable Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, Spring Rolls and Cashew Chicken. The Fried Rice and Cashew Chicken were the best dishes. It's a very large restaurant and they have plenty of seating. Can be a bit pricey, but worth it!“
