“saw this restaurant and it's james beard nominee chef on phantom gourmet, so when i drove up from the Cape to see my Uncle we decided to check it out… i grew up in the neighborhood so was neat to see the old hood! this place used to be a bakery, and has been transformed into a hip counter service option for breakfast/lunch, etc....sparkling clean, friendly counterperson, was my first impression...there is a nice window facing counter with stools to sit at and enjoy your selections...we both ordered the fish congee and i got the rice noodles with hoisin sauce and my uncle ordered the rice noodles with curry fish balls, and we ordered green tea...all the dishes were so yummy! i'm talking deliciousness every bite. i worked in chinatown for 17 years so im familiar with most of the dishes, its a good varied menu of the staples and the unexpected ...the congee was an appetizing and creative presentation with nuts and different colorful toppings for added flavor and esthetics ...had such a delicate fish flavor....we plan to return soon...want to try the french toast and also the rice with salt and pepper chicken...the bao selections look tempting as well! busy area but we found hancock street parking and saw spots on Billings Rd as well...highly recommend.“

“When I was planning this trip to Boston with my daughter, eating dim sum in a major city is a must! We eat dim sum at every new city we hit up. Our mother/daughter tradition. So after looking up local Chinese joints to eat at, Dynasty popped up. They also offer street parking so that is what sold me on this joint.
Considering Boston's Chinatown looks pretty run down, you should never judge a book by it's cover. Walking in, this joint is really bright and clean. The young man working the register greeted us and got my daughter and I a table. The big list of food items was dropped off and we were ready to get the party started! We ordered a handful of things! It's been a while since we have had dim sum so we were ready to put in work.
Our food was starting to slowly trickle out. We started off with the congee. It came out pretty fast since it was probably made earlier waiting to be served. Shortly after the rest of our dumplings were making their way to our table.
The congee was simple, savory and comforting. It tasted like my childhood. The fried shrimp rolls were tasty, crispy and savory. I have had similar fried shrimp dumplings like this served with a sauce similar to walnut shrimp. That sauce would have been killer with these rolls. The long rice noodles were silky and filled with char sui. The sauce was more vinegar than sweet which is how I have normally had it. Still good! Har gaw and shu mai were fabulous once they dropped off soy and chili oil to dip them in. The turnip cake will always be one of my favorites. My daughter enjoyed the soup dumplings and the rice in lotus leaf. I was too full to try them.
Customer service was ok. They got you what you needed but not a lot of exchange in conversation. I feel like most dim sum experiences are like that. The food was so good! I enjoyed every bit of it with my daughter. Parking might be free but very limited and challenging to find. I'm still happy we got to check this joint out and have a great meal here!“

“Nice place for Claypot rice and rice rolls just like in Taicheng. Wife wanted to try it since its hard to get back home. Everything was steaming hot and tasty. I got the yellow eel Claypot rice a Taishan classic. Service was quick and attentive for a small and busy place only has around 20 seats.“

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside, but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. The wontons tasted homemade and the broth was very rich in flavor. The curry sauce was thick and tasty. The pork was perfectly cooked. Overall, a good experience“

“We all thoroughly enjoyed our Hot Pot Buffet. Great value for high quality ingredients that were very fresh. We tried several choices not typically found at other restaurants. Our fantastic wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and highly efficient. We recommend Fairy Cafe and will definitely be back.“

“If you’ve been disappointed with Cathay Pacific in the past, it might be time to give them another try.
They’ve truly raised the bar. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was excellent—fast, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming and made for a very enjoyable dining experience.
But don’t just take my word for it. Go see for yourself. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.“

“One of the best Chinese takeout place in town. Fast and attentive service. Very good value. My favorites are the chicken wings and Singapore rice noodle. Other dishes are worth a try too. Highly recommended if you don't want to cook and don't want to break the bank.“

“Just saw some white guy go and call the police because the tables were all reserved but the servers aren’t fluent in English. Thought it was bs until the restaurant was completely full only twenty minutes later. Same white guy also said that he owned four hotels and that he was entitled to a table. Hate racist and people who would rather waste our town resources and make people suffer because of a power trip. Good people who work hard to run a restaurant. Not amazing, but definitely not bad.
Next time get reservations.“

“My wife (and her family) love rice rolls and often make our own. This place is very good (4.5 stars). Thin and chewy with good amount of filling and a sauce that is right balance of sweet and savory. Good portions for the price. Our favorite was the char siu, but the beef, shrimp and beef stew were also delicious. Recommend!“
“A hidden gem is what it is.
I was craving for some clay pots and
came across this restaurant walking along the street and decided to dine in here. It ended up terrific! It’s a family style restaurant and food was surprisingly delicious!
I ordered rice noodle and the staff recommended add an egg in it and it’s so good.
Service is also great.
I’ll 100% recommend to anyone! Super authentic food.“

“We had a great experience at Clay Pot Cafe ! Everything we ordered really hit the spot.
The curry fish balls were flavorful and had just the right amount of spice definitely a must order. The chicken sausage clay pot was delicious, with perfectly cooked rice and rich, savory flavors that really brought the dish together.
The fish congee was a huge hit with the kids they absolutely loved it! It was comforting, fresh, and full of flavor.
Overall, a fantastic meal for the whole family. We’ll definitely be coming back!“
“Authentic, delicious, old school southern Chinese pastries. The best Chinese bakery we have found in Quincy.
I rarely write reviews because I am lazy but am posting this to make sure our favorite places stays open. RIP MiamMiam.“

“We only went to the bakery side to get some pastries for takeaway for the kids to sample. I loved the selection of moon cakes on offer, but the star of the show were the egg tarts, which were by far the most delicate and buttery ones I've ever tasted. I found the staff to be quite pleasant and very patient with the kids as they made their decisions. It is cash only.“

“in a mall. Ample parking in parking lot.
The carts come around and you begin your feast. My favorites are chicken feet, spare ribs in black bean sauce, salt and pepper lobster and stir fried Chinese broccoli (not pictured). The bbq pork buns and pineapple custard buns were fantastic as well.
Chicken feet were tender and flavorful. Pork spareribs had great flavor but wasn’t as tender as I would’ve liked. The salt & pepper lobster was crispy on the outside and meat was delicious. I could’ve sat there all day eating it.
The bbq pork buns had a little sticky glaze on top and the bun was so soft. The bbq pork filling had sweetness to it. The pineapple custard bun was a great dessert item to finish off a wonderful meal here. It was soft, topping was crumbly and the custard filling just oozing like an egg yolk. The bun was soft, sweet and delicious!
Service was great. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Highly recommend and I will definitely return when I’m in the area again.“

“This is a hole in the wall authentic Chinese American restaurant. The Cantonese roast duck was amazing. My husband is a carnivore so we bought whole duck with no sides because it was reviewed as the best duck in Boston. I agree with the rating. It was the juiciest fattest duck I've ever eaten. My son who can be very picky ate so much I was worried he was going to get sick. It was messy to eat. I only wish we could've saved the bones to make broth but we were on vacation. It was 40$ for the whole duck but that's pretty good for feeding 3 people with leftovers enough to feed another when we got back home. Not much seating inside but the weather was nice so we went to a nearby park to eat outside.“

“A great place for anyone looking for authentic flavors and quality dishes. The egg yolk bun was the highlight—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a taste that really stood out. The chive dumplings were also a favorite, with a wonderful texture and seasoning. We loved that every dish brought something different to the table instead of tasting the same. Add in the quick service, and it made for a fantastic dining experience.“

“⭐5/5 Man, this food was GOOD.
The flavor of the Mongolian Beef was incredible. Spicy, but not intense, it was a nice warm heat followed by a rush of flavor.
The General Tso Chicken was the perfect blend of sweet, spice, and savory umami. I can't wait to come back.“

“This is the only place we go to for dim sum every Sunday. The restaurant had renovations done so it's nicer now (no more pink walls). If you like stir fry clams, order it from the kitchen instead off the dim sum menu. There's a small parking lot in the back or you can park a block down in the main public parking lot.“
