“my 2 friends and I went to Strawberry Fair restaurant yesterday. one friend we hadn't seen in years. we've known each other since we were 12. our hostess and waitress were excellent. we stayed over 2 hours reminiscing. Then when we tried to take a selfie before we left and our waitress came outside and offered to take the picture. it came out great!! I highly recommend this restaurant.The food was delicious!!! “This is a very good Thai place on busy rt 53 in Norwell. In my opinion better suited for takeout than dine in. The food is tasty, high quality and satisfying. I had Pad Thai while my wife had the Rama Garden and we shared a number of appetizers including the spring rolls, chicken satay, gyoza and edamame. All in all very satisfying!“

“I’ve been dying to get my Cuban food fix! Finally got to go for lunch, and I have got to say: The smell of fresh baked bread when you walk in is intoxicating. All of your Puerto Rican and Cuban favourites are here. I got a roast pork sandwich, but the plates going by with chuletas, mofongo, pernil, guisados, yuca, salads, were all freshly prepared. I wanted to try everything each plate looked better than the next. At the counter, pastels and empanadas and desserts were on display to further tempt you. I got a soursop shake, which was an icy drink made with soursop and condensed milk. It was deliciously frosty and sweet (and soursop is good for you too!) I ordered the lechon sandwich which was packed with perfectly roasted juicy pork and I got a side of fries (which could feed 3 people!) my friend got the burger and a mango drink with yuca fries. The burger was fresh ground and hand packed, the yuca fries were crunchy and light. We both got Cuban coffees which were delicious too. Suddenly we weren’t sitting in a cold rainy restaurant, we were basking in the sun in Calle Ocho.☺️ Oh- The service was super friendly and attentive, you can tell they take pride in the food they make, and making their guests feel like family. This is going to be my new go to. Give it a try!“

“The hubby wanted to take me to lunch for my upcoming birthday..for our age and for our wallet we always go to lunch vs dinner...we are now already home with the pups in our jammies..so great...now as a self proclaimed foodie, I have wanted to try the food at Alma Nove at the Hingham Shipyard for many years...I am also a huge Wahlbergers show fan...adored their mom Alma on the show and her pal Phyllis...the show is so much fun..binge it if you haven't seen it..anyway...the weather today didn't look too spectacular for a waterfront restaurant but the blue skies showed themselves as we were eating inside...such a terrific location..the shipyard has been revitalized in the last 15 years or so...lots of shopping and dining destinations including the original Wahlbergers Burger Joint...I love this stuff...Dave is like ok whatever...but our experience was lovely..I will say however that my husband and I don't quite fit in the Hingham vibe...and it has a vibe..no shade but it kind of carries an air about it...the people I mean...lol...but we ignored all that and for sure enjoyed lunch..even Dave said how delicious it all was...our server...nice..we typically enjoy banter with our servers...he wasn't about that...all business and he gave us excellent service..but I do have the sense that more than likely the staff has high hopes of gaining maybe a walk on role on Blood Bloods with Donnie or maybe a handshake from Marky Mark when he comes through from time to time...hope for them it happens..fingers crossed...😉..about the food...great bread..seemed homemade but simple..fresh..served with butter that had black specks on it..turns out it was a black salt..interesting..a few drafts for Dave from Mayflower Brewery in nearby Plymouth and I had a lovely Pinot Noir...bottled water on the table..big fan of that..I ordered the Pan Seared Shrimp and Scallops served over a sweet potato risotto , topped with haricot verts(fancy greenbeans), toasted marcona almonds and truffle honey and my date had the Butternut squash Tortellacci with pan seared chicken topped with sage brown butter sauce, pecorino romano, apple cider gastrique and fried sage and chives..wow..we are styling here in the Shipyard...every bite was spot on and a perfect serving for lunch..we enjoyed all of it..dessert..well.of course..they have an in house pastry chef so that's a given for me..chose the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding..when he returned he also brought a small chocolate dessert..like cake in a jar with whipped cream and a candle...he said they heard someone was celebrating a bday...we never said it so all I can figure is I posted that we were there for my bday and had tagged the restaurant...great social media connection if that was the case...we shared them and they were fabulous...took some photos around the place..ran into folks the hubby knew from Hull..absolutely highly recommend Alma Nove..those that aren't familiar with the background. ..The famous Wahlberg Brothers Donnie and Mark have a brother Paul who is the chef and owner of Alma Nove..named for their precious mom Alma and Nove in Italian means nine..there were 9 Walhberg kids..5 stars from me for Alma Nove.. Open daily for lunch and dinner. .I believe they have live music on Sundays and in the nice weather their outside patio overlooks Hingham Bay...a must try❤️ Mark has famously said their brother Paul is the most talented in the family...I believe that is spot on...“

“My husband and I were gifted this tour for the Island Creek Oyster farming experience by our sweet friends as a wedding gift. The tour was 2 hours long, 1 hour exploring the hatchery and 1 hour on the boat shucking oysters and viewing the space they own. It would have been great to see how they actually collect the oysters, but overall learned a ton and had a great time!“

There is no better lobster roll than the one at 5 South Main - nice pillowy roll with a generous serving of lobster meat coated (but not soaked) in mayo. Also recommend the chicken Caesar wrap. The staff is always really pleasant. Have primarily gone for the takeout, but also have enjoyed dining in. Very cozy in here (4 to 6 tables). Perfect place to come when looking for a very small and quiet atmosphere. Menu is just the right size - everything is freshly prepared. Very generous pours of wine for anyone dining in for dinner.“

“Wicked Good Food! It’s the first time ordering from here. I’m always skeptical of 1st tries because I’m VERY picky about pizza. I got a small veggie pizza and it was awesome! Their sauce is good and they’re super generous with the toppings and cheese! Also tried the buffalo tenders, omg…wicked good! They’re not all dripping with buffalo sauce, they’re the exact right amount of buffalo-ey, but in a dry way, and with perfect crunchiness! “This is a gem for many reasons but the view is the most special thing about it. Layer in the fact that the food is delicious as are the drinks, and it makes for a very special place. It’s a great option for gluten free and dairy free restrictions, but you definitely need to like seafood or you won’t be able to eat much. (It is a raw bar after all…) It does have sushi bowls and kids options. The cocktails are incredible, some served over crushed ice which I love and feels like a treat. Great spot for a date or family outing (including the dog) with lots of options for seating. It can get crowded st the height of summer. We usually try to get there right when it opens or an hour or two before close to get a good table. There’s also a really nice indoor seating area with rec room vibes.

“I went here yesterday with my mom on a whim. We both got sandwich wraps, shared fries, and ate in; everything was really good and fresh. The avocado in my wrap was perfectly ripe, too. “We had a wonderful time at Barrell Z House this past Saturday. Our bartender, dressed in Germany garb for Oktoberfest, was so friendly and helpful. We had our little dog Ella with us and was made to feel welcome. Our bartender even brought us a fresh bowl of water for her. We got some delicious sirloin sliders for us and doggie biscuits with PB for Ella from the food truck. My husband and I enjoyed the IPA. We tasted two different types, one more fruity and aroma, the other more hoppy. We’re hop heads and both agreed that the more hoppy one was our fav! “Somewhere Else Tavern along Rte. 127 in Bryantville/Pembroke, Mass. I must say I've been at the building, since 2009 (15 years) when it was "Old School". It was a building then, a bar/restaurant of sorts, but now it is someplace special. Since Lori and Jayson, who also own the "Fork in the Road" delicatessen in Bryantville and the Olde Hitching Post restaurant in Hanson, took over the restaurant and renamed it, it is now a place for excellent food, beverages, and a wonderful, wonderful group of people, their patrons. What makes Somewhere Else truly special is that on almost every night, Jayson, Lori, or Lori's sister, Lee Ann, will be there taking care of their customers..... their friends. This past Sunday, was Lori's birthday and EVERYONE was included to celebrate her birthday, Chinese food (seemingly Lori's favorite), cake and ice cream shared with all.
