They took your order & they were very personable which in the field of working with the public is essential! We also liked that they were a small quaint place so that you felt like you were family.“

“Incredible experience. Happened to be in the area while starving with my 2 year old son today.Service was fantastic and attentive. Food was wonderfully home made and fresh. To my surprise my son’s pancake was made in the shape of Mickey Mouse which was very thoughtful. I got chocolate chip pancakes and they fried the chocolate chips inside the pancake mix which I love! Can’t count how many places lazily just throw chocolate chips on top.With this great service and food, the icing on the cake was food is low priced. Because of my positive experience I tipped over 20% and still felt like I robbed the place. Would have happily paid/tipped more.“

And our dinner was excellent had the burger and the haddock as usual which is out standing. “A neat little place. The chicken parm was overcooked, but it was mostly good otherwise and the dessert certainly made up for that. The dining room was nicely decorated, but noisy despite the average sized crowd. Something unique about this place is the open kitchen window where you can see your food prepared. I am sure I will be back, but I think I will try another entrée.Parking: The restaurant is free standing next to a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking to be found.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, and most of the tables had chairs that could be easily moved to accomodate a wheelchair.“

“We went to Sun Tavern, three weeks before Christmas with a bunch of old friends , hoping for some Christmas ambience and a great dinner with drinks in this old world historic Tavern. Unfortunately, our hopes were dashed as the Christmas decor and ambience was scant to non-existent, at best. Was the food good? Yes . Were the drinks. nice? Yes. Was the waitress, fun and attentive? Yes. Will we go back there next year for our annual Christmas cheer get-together to celebrate the beginning of the holidays in a fun & festive atmosphere? Probably not.“

“I was excited to see they've changed their menu as I was tired of the same old offerings year after year. The two salads we ordered were fresh and delicious. The Caesar was huge, chopped and very garlicky and came with a Parmesan crisp. The second salad was endive, blue cheese, candied walnuts and was large. Dressing on this salad was just ok but salad was nice and fresh. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked and had delicious green beans and sticky rice as sides. The pesto and ricotta baked pasta was absolutely terrible. The pesto wasn't basil pesto but I think was tasteless spinach pesto (I asked the waiter and he had no idea what type of pesto it was). There was barely any ricotta in it and it was dry as a bone. The meatballs that came on the side were good but an odd choice as an accompaniment to the baked pasta (they were in red sauce and pasta was green). They need to get this pasta dish swapped out with another type of pasta entree that isn't over cooked and dry and flavorless. Cocktails are interesting and unusual. Ambiance and service both top notch. We'll be back, I just will order better next time and skip the pasta.“

“Was in the area and stopped here for dinner! Place was packed as it was the day before St.Patrick’s Day! We were sat pretty quickly and our server was amazing! My son talked her ear off about Star Wars and legos and although she was really busy she never rushed him. ? the fries and steak tips were incredible! “Loved the BBQ flatbread. It was so delicious, even better than the fish tacos I got. The one thing I didn’t like about the fish was the sauce and the hard tortilla. It didn’t make for a great fish taco and I typically love those. This was our first time here for most of us. The service was immaculate. Seated right away and the waitress was very attentive and patient. We had a lot of kids with us since it was school vacation we decided to indulge in this experience. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and the food. Next time maybe we’ll make a different food choice.“

“Had an outstanding meal here back in November - our family live locally and insisted we visit, and I’m so glad they did! Everything from the oyster menu was super fresh and a great way to appreciate the variations between different varieties. Service was friendly, cocktails were delicious, and the Windsor Fries (cooked in tallow and served with a delicious garlic mayo) are genuinely the best fries I have ever eaten. Can’t wait to go back!“

“Saw the olde hitching post on TV about ten years ago, wanted to give them a try... I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was AMAZING, the service was just as good, the waitress was polite, funny, and attentive. The only thing I would change, would be the location, I wish it was closer to my house lol, unfortunately I live in southern Connecticut and don't get up to Massachusetts very often, but the olde hitching post is now a guaranteed stop every time I get up to mass...“

“I stopped in The Anchor last night for the Buffalo Shrimp, and it's one of the best fried shrimp I've had! I couldn't decide between the chicken gumbo or their frickles, Samantha was definitely a huge help with this, I ended up getting the Frickles and they didn't disappoint.“

It was a sight to see for sure!Cranking out the Best Grilled Cheese Sandwiches I have actually tasted! I was looking forward to this event that CANDIDATE RICHARD ASH ORGANIZED for his Supporters. The whole event was a big success!The food truck made a huge impact on this Meet and Greet Candidate RICHARD ASH.If you or know anyone that wants to make a big splash at some event then from what I experienced tonight is MOM on the GO WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION TO HAVE.Thank you all plus Thank You CANDIDATE RICHARD ASH FOR A WONDERFUL TIME!The Service and Staff could not have been any nicer and helpful, the food from what I saw and had was the best!
