“Normally when I go here the crew isnt the best but today I went in and Jose was running the show all by himself, had 2 huge orders and he handled it all as a one man show. I gotta give props to him he deserves a raise and a half because he works hard and deserves the recognition. Shout out to Jose !“

“After a day of traveling back from Scotland, we were exhausted and hungry! We needed "dinner" around 3pm and to go straight to bed. We ordered and had the pizza delivered to the hotel and it was FANTASTIC! Delicious! We ate way more than I expected us to and all went to bed full and happy!“

“I went to this pizzeria in person for the first time, as I usually order online. Today I decided to order directly, although I was quite nervous ordering in their language and had difficulty pronouncing my order correctly. I tried using an app to help me communicate with the employee.
-
However, the person who was supposed to serve me simply went off to talk to the cooks, which made the situation quite awkward. I understand that the work can be busy, but as a customer, I just expected a little more patience and attention.
-
I hope that in the future, the staff will show a little more consideration for customers who may have communication difficulties. :]“

“Birdies Hot Chicken is a locally owned spot that has quietly built one of the stronger reputations for fried chicken in the Boston area, and the tenders are where that reputation is easiest to understand.
The chicken comes out juicy and well crusted, with a batter that stays crispy without being thick or greasy, and the seasoning underneath does more work than most hot chicken spots bother with. The heat is the headline but the flavor is what keeps you coming back, and the two are balanced well enough that even at higher spice levels the chicken still tastes like something rather than just burning.
The spice levels are worth taking seriously. The extra hot is genuinely challenging and rewarding in equal measure if you have the tolerance for it, but the mid-range levels give you enough of the flavor profile to understand what the kitchen is doing without requiring a recovery period afterward.
The seasoned fries are a natural companion and hold up well alongside the tenders, and the sliders are worth knowing about if you want to build out a larger order across a few different formats.
The restaurant is clean and comfortable with a good energy and staff that moves quickly without making the experience feel transactional. For halal hot chicken in downtown Boston that takes both the heat and the flavor seriously, Birdies is the spot to know about.“

“I’ve been eating here for a long time and generally enjoy the food. The chicken is flavorful, and it’s one of my favorite peri-peri spots. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The rice and chicken portions are often quite small, and the rice is not always fresh. At the same time, the salad portions tend to be very large compared to the rice. A better balance between the sides and more consistent freshness would make the overall experience even better.“
