I tried the spicy salmon roll and spicy crabmeat roll, and while they weren’t made the way I usually prefer, that’s okay. The service was super nice, which made the experience enjoyable.”“

“I will leadoff by stating that i generally shun American Chinese food. Tsangs is one of the few that i would dine at. The food tastes fresh. The service is crisp. My son and wife enjoy the sushi. My only complaint is that the beer menu is mediocre.“

“One of the only places near Boston that serve authentic FJ (Fuzhounese) food. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.

Everything is priced very affordably, I believe the 3 dishes in the pic were around $20 total.“

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside,but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“

“A small fresh authentic rice roll restaurant making Chinese rice noodle rolls. You can see them making the batter for the rice noodles. That’s how fresh it is. They have shareable congee, soup dumplings and rice roll dishes. They have a kiosk at the door to order your food and they bring it out to you. Not much service to comment on but they are nice and the food is good.“

I feel like I got coaxed into paying with cash because it was empty. I didn’t see any signs indoors or in the reviews about the supposed $10 minimum as there usually are. Thankfully, I had cash on me, but a heads up for anyone ordering inside.“

Five of us arrived from out of town and walked in to see the four person table occupied and one person at one of the two person tables (yep, three tables total). The proprietor moved the two folks at the four person table to the two person table (they were regulars and happy to move) and grabbed the spare chair and suddenly the place was at full occupancy!

The menu is expansive and required a bit of explanation for our group to pick a meal, but absolutely everything was great. The winners were a dish consisting of well fried chicken and noodles and the orange chicken (my choice). Everyone at the table said the chicken was perfectly cooked and the flavor and spice were just right. The portions were generous, but alas I had no leftovers to take home.

It seemed like 50 takeout orders went out while we were there. Obviously the locals love the food.“

“South Garden is a Chinese restaurant located right outside the heart of Quincy Center serving traditional South Chinese and Cantonese dishes for lunch and dinner.

The staff are friendly, definitely helps to know Cantonese but they can communicate well in English as well.

As for the food, its alright. The quality is pretty much the same as other restaurants, though the beef satay chow fun wasn't as good as other places i've tried. Very good spot to get traditional Cantonese dishes like fried squid or fried porkchops for a reasonable price and reasonable quality.“

Recommend getting there early to avoid waiting. Street parking only - don't park in the nearby small bakery parking lot or you'll get towed.“
