“We stopped at Rail Trail Ale House for lunch on a beautiful fall Saturday and had a great time. We shared the giant pretzel, then split the pastrami sandwich, and both were excellent. I had the Queen Bee and my husband had the Shipyard Oktoberfest, both perfect for the day.

What made the visit was the people. The owner stopped by to chat and couldn't have been lovelier, and the staff was fantastic from start to finish. A rep from Counterweight Brewing was there giving out samples of their German-style beer, which was wonderful, a fun surprise.

The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, the kind of spot where you want to linger. It's right down the road from Congamond Lake, so it's easy to make a whole afternoon of it. We'll definitely be back!“

“Very cool venue for bands. Acoustics are great due to the wood structure. They sized the crowd just right with the amount of tickets sold, not too packed. We saw Sage King's tribute to Chris Cornell, Revelations, who shared the stage with Brock Landers' Real Thing - An Alice In Chains Experience for the ultimate GRUNGE NIGHT. Plenty of good sight lines to the stage from multiple levels, including the lofts. Parking was easy and they had staff guide parkers. There was also a Bears food truck and alcohol served onsite.“

“We had Chef Rafi and he was really kind, friendly, funny, made us laugh a lot and made. He did pranks like the ketchup that he pretended to put on my daughter but it was fake and put a little bit of rice on the plate for my son but then he put more and that made us laugh a lot. He also tried to throw broccoli into our mouth to see if we can get in our mouth with out touching it.“

“Our second time trying Verona and both times we were very happy with our food. Our first visit we got pizza to go and it was the best margarita pizza we’ve ever had. Tonight we dined in and had the most amazing meals. They were super busy today and were out of some items so we had to change our order but I am so glad we did. The penne ala vodka was the best I’ve ever had and my husband loved the lasagna. The server, Harmony, was so kind and attentive. Portion sizes were very generous and now I have lunch for tomorrow as well. We will definitely be back!“

“Our flight home was delayed and we didn’t get in until later than expected and we were starving after a long travel day. We stopped in 20 minutes before closing and they were kind enough to make us a most delicious pizza! We had also stopped in before we left on our trip and had wonderful sandwiches. Our guests especially loved the crab rangoon and chicken salad. The Thai tea and matcha crème brûlée were also big hits. It was such a wonderful way to enjoy time with our guests without the usual stress of cooking or the limitations of a restaurant setting. We’ve been fans of their food for a while, so we knew we were in good hands and could just relax and focus on celebrating. “On Saturday, August 16, 2025, my husband and I had the pleasure of eating a late lunch/early dinner at this wonderful restaurant. The service was pleasant and prompt, the decor was beautiful, and the food was delicious! Before our entrees, we split the potato skins appetizer. I really liked the crispy skin. (I don't usually eat all of the skin of potato skins, preferring the filling instead, but I ate all of mine from Zanto's!) The Shrimp Scampi Provençal was one of the best versions of shrimp scampi that I've ever had. My husband raved about his dish of Scallops Massimo. I don't know if we'll ever be in that area of CT again, but if we are, we'll go out of our way to eat at Zanto's. 5/5“
