“Colarusso’s has become by go-to bakery. When my family realized I stopped there for Easter treats, I was immediately asked if I brought the chocolate cream pie again (of course!). While waiting, I grabbed some pizzelle & a big milk chocolate egg that we always had when I was a kid at Grandma’s house on Easter. Seeing a sign for struffoli, I had to grab some. My grandmother may turn over in her grave for this, but OMG! They were amazing! And so much better than grandma made (sorry Grammy 😇). They were so light and airy, & were perfection. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t incredible & delicious.“

“Stopped by for a quick coffee before we headed off to the zoo. Coffee was good, service excellent. Lady at the front making the coffee and ringing us up, was very sweet. You can tell she’s well loved in the area since most people that were walking in, were regulars. Only downside is that I felt like it was really pricey, but then again, so are big coffee chains so I rather it go to small business owners. A lot of different options to choose from so it can be overwhelming for someone like me who struggles with making decisions! LOL“

“The most delicious pastries ever. If you love pistachio the way I do you will have trouble choosing and it is ALL great. But I particularly love the savories. The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. I didn’t even know there was a category for World’s Best Breakfast Sandwich… apparently Mike & Patty’s created it.

First up: The Fancy. That perfectly runny little yolk made me stop what I was doing and PUT DOWN MY PHONE. I know… in this day and age, that’s basically a spiritual experience.

I ate the entire sandwich and then did the only responsible thing: ordered another one. Purely for quality control. I’m basically a food scientist. 😂

Just when I thought I’d reached peak breakfast, along comes the Bfast Grilled Crack. Now I’m sitting there geekin’ out over what can only be described as fresh, delicious breakfast art.

These guys dropped the mic, pulled out all the stops, put their best foot forward… hell, insert every cliché here because they earned all of them.

Damn, this place is LEGIT.

My bathroom scale and I will be discussing this decision privately. 😂“

“we were visiting Boston for a few days and were staying close to Michette. We would go there every morning for breakfast and it was such a beautiful discovery. The vegan guava roll and focaccia… so so delicious! The vegan pastries made by Michette were the best ones I had so far. Thank you to the friendly and welcoming staff!“

The savory olive roll, the hearty multigrain sourdough, and the buttery raspberry tart move me to dance, bring tears to my eyes, and make me want to hug the baker. Bread is what I'd crave on my deathbed, and these loaves would absolutely top that list. But it's the wonderfully welcoming people behind the counter that truly make this place feel like heaven on earth.“

“I can't recommend Korean Momma enough! We ordered an OG Burnt Basque Cheesecake for my boyfriend's birthday, and it was honestly the best Basque cheesecake we've ever had. The texture was perfectly creamy and custardy with that beautifully caramelized top, and the flavor was incredible, not overly sweet and just absolutely delicious.

What made the experience even more special was how kind and accommodating Su Jean and Duly were. They were able to make a special order for us outside of their regular drop schedule, which completely surprised my boyfriend and made his birthday so memorable. They even included an extra slice of their chocolate Basque cheesecake, which was such a thoughtful surprise.

If you're looking for a cake outside one of their scheduled drops, I'd absolutely recommend reaching out to ask about a special order. They were wonderful to work with, and the extra effort meant so much to us.“

“Stopped in on a whim and grabbed a coffee and spinach pastry. Both were great!

“Hosted a graduation party for my son. We used the catering service for the food. It was easy peasy to order , the food was delicious it was delivered on time and set up for us. The 40 people who attended left stuffed with the food and the great cake. I highly recommend that if you need catering, want great food and service this is the place to use“

“Fig is the best! Their takeout window basically got me through the pandemic, and I feel very lucky that this is my local. As a certified scone-hater, their blueberry scone is the best I've ever had. “I normally dont dont this but Komugi Bakery is absolutely a 5/5! You can really tell how much attention they put into every detail, especially when it comes to texture and flavor. Everything feels carefully made, with the perfect balance of softness, richness, and sweetness without being overwhelming.

The French toast was definitely a standout. The texture was incredible, soft and fluffy on the inside with just the right finish on the outside. Every bite had so much flavor, and you could really taste the quality and thought that went into it.

What impressed me most about Komugi is how intentional everything feels. The flavors, textures, presentation, and small details all come together perfectly. Definitely a bakery worth visiting, and I’ll absolutely be coming back!“

“This place has strong sentimental value for me. We got our wedding cake here and they don’t ( or didn’t at the time ) make wedding cakes. We were young and poor and they made us three cakes which we put on platters to make into a wedding cake. We had so much left over we were eating it until Thanksgiving (got married at the end of August). We had no money and were eating pancakes, kraft Mac and cheese, chicken loaf sandwiches, chicken pucks and ramen to survive. But our freezer was filled with the leftover cake and I just loved it.
Circle back 30 some odd years later and my wife and I are walking through Chinatown and we come across this place again (we had moved away from the area after we got married). We go inside, the cake is not on the menu, but we tell them what we want (peach cake) and they make it for us right there. We bring it home and eat it the whole cake in one sitting.
Now whenever we are in Chinatown, we stop here before we go home and they make the cake for us ( though we don’t eat the whole thing in one sitting anymore).❤️“
