“Just wanted to come on and give a kudos to Upton House of Pizza after our experience last night. We were heading home exhausted from the waterpark and ordered a pickup order, which included a small GF pizza for my daughter. We picked it up, headed home and as we were pulling into the driveway my phone rang. The young kid at the counter called and frantically asked if we had eaten any of the pizza. I assured him we hadn’t yet and he said that he had separated it so well from the counter that another staff had put a regular pizza in the box he had pre-labeled thinking it was it (apparently, it was actually the free regular small pizza we got free with our order - that we didn’t know we were getting). He asked for our address and was at our door within 7 minutes. He even asked to see the other pizza to double check. I tried to tip him and he refused, saying “it’s not like we just forgot pepperoni or something, this was serious!” Thankfully my daughter is just intolerant and not celiac, but I appreciate this to no end 🥰 People make mistakes, it’s how they rectify them that shows their character! We will definitely continue to give them our business!“

“The food here is always excellent… I don’t know how they do it or where they get it, however, it takes no time for them to quickly whip it up and have it ready.
Dumplings, Chicken Lo-Mein, Beef Skewers… every time are perfect.

“We have used depot street tavern for many of our company events, as well as just stopping in for a quick meal. The food NEVER disappoints. It’s always unique, beautifully presented, and compared to other places an excellent value!“

I want to go back and try some other menu items. If youre in the area, I would give it a shot. There is also a nice zoo and a cool drive in around the area if youre looking for a day trip.“

“Had an amazing experience here tonight! Our server (Christian) was attentive, knowledgeable, and very pleasant, as was the entire staff. Our meals were amazing (veal parm and short ribs over risotto), topped off with a yummy dessert. We sat outside and the atmosphere and the entire experience was beyond what we expected and will be back for sure !!“

“Walkability: Many miles of walking trails throughout the property. They are easy-walk-not much up & down hill, but, still beautiful!
Most trails are lumpy with tree roots, so wear supportive shoes. I wouldn't take a residental-type wheel chair on the trails I walked, but an off-road one, with big tires would probably be fine.“

I can wholeheartedly recommend the fried haddock with extra crispy fries or the grilled steak and chicken combo with crispy fries plus a side of their tasty rice! Prices can be a little more than pre-covid days but honestly, for the quality of the food and the speed of service I have no problem paying a little more, besides, we get to support a local business and that I believe is important during these trying times! “Denise and her team just catered my wedding this past Saturday. We are so beyond pleased with everything. Presentation was splendid. Our guests loved the food (especially the crab cakes!) and there was plenty of food to ensure everyone was full. And then the dessert was utterly over-the-top. My grandmother, who hardly ever indulges in sweets, ate about 10 blueberry tarts. The macarons (my #1 request) were all delicious. Beyond everything, the reason to work with Elm’s Cafe is because of Denise. She was a delight to work with- relaxed, attentive, detail-oriented. She made sure my vision came to life and went out of her way to help us.“

“We're relatively new to central MA and this is the best pizza we've found in the area, especially when we ask for extra sauce. Inside is really nice too, and staff were patient when we were in the bar area with our two little kids. We've had a few small hiccups with orders, but they're good about resolving them, and often do it proactively, which we greatly appreciate (i.e. we screwed something up, we too X dollars off your bill).“

The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is very attentive and the building itself is gorgeous.I've been to the restaurant a few times and some of the food I've ordered was the Spicy Caesar Salad, the hummus, the spinach and artichoke dip and the creme brulee. All of the meals were not only delicious but it's clear that CPH uses fresh ingredients. I typically order salads at restaurants and you usually expect a few damper pieces of lettuce, but the Caesar is always fresh and crunchy, the dressing well distributed, a perfect amount of parmesan and fun spicy kick to make the dish unique. Definitely my go to meal!The apps are also fantastic. The pita bread is great for dipping and has a wonderful texture. They also go great with both the hummus and artichoke dips. Both these dips are well seasoned, have a great consistency and honestly their hummus is some of the best I've ever had.Lastly the creme brulee is always lovely, great consistency and the burnt sugar on the top is always such a fun treat!Regarding drinks, CPH has a great selection of alcohol. The cans of ciders and beers they have stocked are from a great selection of local breweries, Jacks Abby, Downeast and Night Shift to name a few. And then there's the mixed drinks! They have a fun selection of cocktails. I absolutely love the brown sugar old fashioned. It's definitely one of my favorites.The staff is also phenomenal. All of their waiters and waitresses are attentive and always have a kind attitude. They're great about checking in when you need things.The kitchen crew is very talented and always keeping up the quality of their dishes while still getting food out at a fast pace. They really nail down the recipes even while changing out the menu every few weeks. It creates a fun enviornment for patrons because there's always something new and fun to try, but still always made with the same phenomenal quality.It's also nice to see how active the manager is on site. He's always running food to tables, checking in with guests and even running take out orders. It really speaks to the quality of the staff running the building.And speaking of the building, it's beautifully designed and well constructed! The bar is absolutely gorgeous and the seating is very comfortable. Eating next to the large windows brings in a lot of natural light which adds a nice aesthetic to your dining experience. The kitchen even has a window you can watch through to see the kitchen staff hard at work as they make your food.I would highly recommend Central Public House, between the fantastic food, amazing staff and just an absolutely fun atmosphere. You won't regret spending an evening here.“

While the selection is more limited now and there is no dessert offerings, it is a great way to experience a variety of classic vegan and non-vegan Indian dishes. Service is more streamlined than prior to COVID (more self serve)? Bottled water, canned drinks, HUGE selection of beers, fresh made Indian drinks. More popular dishes (butter naan & tandoori chicken) were very slow to be replenished and some bins were actually empty on purpose. Pro’s outweigh con’s in my humble opinion. Price is comparable to any other local cuisine buffet.“
