We loved being able to share and sample so many dishes, and each one was a masterful balancing of herbs, spices and flavors. The service was also top-notch. We can’t wait to return! “We stumbled upon Half & Half while searching for a place to get breakfast and stopped in with our 2 yo. Very cute interior with a friendly staff and delicious food. My wife absolutely loved her avocado toast with eggs and my breakfast sandwich was perfectly grilled. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes for our son who also chomped on my home fries and fresh fruit from my wife’s plate. The person who waited on us (the owner?) was exceptionally friendly and stopped off to talk through all of the various types of butter on the table (no, seriously, like four different kinds and all equally amazing!). We will definitely be back for lunch — and more butter.“

“We accidentally met Chef Lester earlier in the day; ironically, we already made a reservation for my birthday dinner later that day, before this introduction. He mentioned the Pumpkin Risotto special and said when we returned to ask for him. The food was excellent and he personally came to our table to check on us. He then had our server bring us a beautiful platter of desserts, topping off an outstanding experience and birthday celebration! I will definitely be back!“

“What I meal. Would love to go back and try more options. The best I thought was this porchetta flatbread with heirloom tomatoes and pesto. The meat melted in your mouth basically. Everything else was great including the seafood pasta special, mushroom pasta and roasted veggies. Couldn't pass up on the roasted fig ice cream either which was also spectacular.“

“The tase of the food was amazing , but portions are very small. Even a dinner is a tapas appetizer. The drinks were good too. But $15 for a margarita is stupid. $8 is reasonable
The service was tops and quickly. Friendly and kind, but language barrier. Is an issue. I spoke English and Spanish and no one understands anything? I’ve had much better in oriental de Cuba, which is NO LONGER in JP.

“Wow, it was such a treat to have breakfast at a place with no meat in the U.S.!
Not only is it vegetarian, but almost every dish can be made vegan, which is just amazing!
I had the vegan version of the breakfast burrito and it was super tasty, especially with the roasted Brussels sprouts on the side ,so good. I wasn’t crazy about the slightly sweet sauce, but with a bit of salt and their hot sauce it was perfect.
The waitress was so sweet, and the whole vibe was a 10/10. There’s so much more on the menu I want to try, so I’m definitely coming back!“

“Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.“

“A treasure of a restaurant on busy Cambridge St - walk through the door and you’re in a different world. Servers quickly become friends. Great spot for a romantic dinner for two but still a place where a solo diner feels welcome. Wonderful menu with choices for the adventurous and not so adventurous eater. I have been to many Iranian restaurants, from LA to Watertown and this place was magnificent. Nice clean place. The food was great. But if you are in a rush to eat, you better get some patience. It takes time for that good food to come to your table, but when it does, you better take a deep breath and enjoy it.

“The husband and I did an order during their soft open, and it was super good! We have ordered atleast 2-3 more times since the soft open and it's always good! I've tried all their sides, brussels are DELICOUS. Zucchini salad is also VERY good. I do think it has a LOT of almonds, but I could have just gotten a nut heavy scoop, so definitely recommend! We did and sampler platter and the meats are solid. The ribs are THE BEEEEST. pulled pork and brisket is good too. have yet to try the burnt ends, that's my next venture! Overall a great meal. Price wise, it is moderate. price points around the same if not cheaper for most BBQ I've had up here. I'm from the south so prices will never be as cheap as there, but the food, personally, is worth the price.“

“Great food and service. Bierra tacos were great- we drank the au-jus straight as it had nice cinnamon overtones. Guacamole was perfect with the chips light and fluffy. The 3 tacos- were the traditional small one: the pastor had small amounts of pineapple - very traditional; steak (carne asada) was cooked perfectly as little strips and the carnitas has tons of flavor. The trea-leche was a hit with it's nice flavora. The margherita was flavorful and well balanced. The service was amazing- they gave us special hot sauce, not on the menu, when we asked for habanero sauce (they didn't have). Will go again- need to taste everything on the menu!“
