“We used Maya catering for our event and we were super happy with the food, service and our experience with them. They make the best South Indian / Tamil food in the Boston area. Loved the 65, parotta, goat pepper fry. Highly recommend ! Wish they opened a South Indian restaurant !“

She had a judgmental and unhelpful attitude while we were choosing our meals. She suddenly brought the check even though we didn't ask for it, as if she wanted us to leave.“

“Service was quick and effecient. Wait staff gave me a great recommendation for lunch. The short rib curry was delicious; came with rice. Dining area was small, but single seats long the window were open. Price for the entree was $22, but short ribs don't come cheap. The meat fell off the bones, and it made a tasty curry! There were also peas and peppers in the curry. Spice level was perfect, big flavor, not heat.“

I really recommend the Gnocchetti!! I had never had this and our server took the time to explain it to us. I glad he did bc when we come back this will be my favorite. Thank you for the food,service, & the experience! we will definitely be back.“

“We stumbled upon Half & Half while searching for a place to get breakfast and stopped in with our 2 yo. Very cute interior with a friendly staff and delicious food. My wife absolutely loved her avocado toast with eggs and my breakfast sandwich was perfectly grilled. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes for our son who also chomped on my home fries and fresh fruit from my wife’s plate. The person who waited on us (the owner?) was exceptionally friendly and stopped off to talk through all of the various types of butter on the table (no, seriously, like four different kinds and all equally amazing!). We will definitely be back for lunch — and more butter.“

“My wife and I ate there recently the meal was phenomenal. I had the double cut veal with a mushroom demi. The veal was so tender and juicy, it was the best I have ever had. My wife had the seafood alfredo and has not stopped talking about it since. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. The chef even stopped by the table to check in on things. He gave me a couple of techniques on how things were put together. An exceptional experience from the moment I walked in the door. Thank You to everyone who made it happen!“

“We took a friend out to dinner at Oleana last night for her birthday and it was one of the best meals we’ve had. We loved being able to share and sample so many dishes, and each one was a masterful balancing of herbs, spices and flavors. The service was also top-notch. We can’t wait to return! “Wow, it was such a treat to have breakfast at a place with no meat in the U.S.!
Not only is it vegetarian, but almost every dish can be made vegan, which is just amazing!
I had the vegan version of the breakfast burrito and it was super tasty, especially with the roasted Brussels sprouts on the side ,so good. I wasn’t crazy about the slightly sweet sauce, but with a bit of salt and their hot sauce it was perfect.
The waitress was so sweet, and the whole vibe was a 10/10. There’s so much more on the menu I want to try, so I’m definitely coming back!“

“We hosted our small wedding reception here in a private room. It was so lovely- everyone had enjoyed the wedding but the food and atmosphere was really a lovely way to celebrate the event.
Tommer was incredibly responsive and helpful in selecting food and wine and explaining how the day would go. Rebecca was a helpful server and even brought out extras to the car at the end of the night.
Our families are still talking about the food, especially the bacon-wrapped plantains and the churros. We loved that instead of a wedding cake we had churros and the incredible chocolate sauce. The salads were delicious and I especially loved the tortilla Española.
My mom is planning to go back again very soon and my partner and I are excited to return for another meal. We would recommend this to anyone.“

The causa with tuna tartare and mixed ceviche were both excellent, as was the special, seafood soup, more like a cioppino but with a lighter broth and Peruvian flavors. (Lots of bell peppers but you could probably ask for it without them if you wish. For me they were easy to pick out.) It took a while to order but then the food came fast. The cocktails are great and we are usually too full for dessert. Best to avoid the tables by the door on a cold night due to cold air coming in. Look forward to the new place in Boston, too, from the same owners!“

I have been to many Iranian restaurants, from LA to Watertown and this place was magnificent. Nice clean place. The food was great. But if you are in a rush to eat, you better get some patience. It takes time for that good food to come to your table, but when it does, you better take a deep breath and enjoy it.
