“This was the best night out I’ve had with my husband in a long time. The food was spectacular- I suggest the mezze platter so you can try everything, and of course the koshari. From cocktails and the semolina cake sfizi which was the perfect small bite to start to the three desserts we shared around the table (affogato, orange blossom panda cottage, strawberry semifreddo) that generated debate over which was the favorite, every bite and every sip was thoroughly enjoyed. I will tryntonget a reservation every time we make it back to Boston!“

“This place is superb. The food was delicious, fresh, tasty, VERY SUBSTANTIAL (one bowl will feed 3!) and a delight. The owner welcomed us with grace and kindness and told us that if it wasn't to our liking, he would make it right. We were gifted Rice Pudding (the cinnamon....oy vey!) and Baklava. Will be back every time I go to Mass General for treatment.“

“This was a fun dinner. The service was excellent and the food was a positive surprise! I spend a lot of time in Miami so I wasn’t sure what to expect going for Cuban food in Somerville. The food was good and drinks were well executed. The only thing I didn’t like is when we arrived it was not full upstairs on the main floor but they wanted to sit my party alone in the basement. That was weird. We asked to sit upstairs with everyone else and they were able to move us.“

“We consider ourselves foodies and ordered take out last week and the food was delicious! In addition the staff was super friendly and gave some great advice on what to order. Great portion sizes. Today my husband and I returned and dined in. Again, the food was so good and people working there were so nice! We will definitely return as well as spread the word to our friends. “I live in Bar Harbor, Maine, and one of my guests staying with us offered me a homemade bagel from this establishment. It's one of the best poppy seed bagels I've had in a long time, and the homemade chive cream cheese pairs so perfectly with the smoked salmon. It made my day eating this bagel after work. I love lox. It's one of the sweetest gifts a guest has ever given me. 💕 When I travel the coast looking at lighthouses this winter, this bagel shop will definitely be on my places to stop. Alan is a great supporter and saleman! I'm happy to have met him and have him as one of my guests. Great memory, I'll keep with me. Thanks Alan 😊😊“

“We stumbled upon Half & Half while searching for a place to get breakfast and stopped in with our 2 yo. Very cute interior with a friendly staff and delicious food. My wife absolutely loved her avocado toast with eggs and my breakfast sandwich was perfectly grilled. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes for our son who also chomped on my home fries and fresh fruit from my wife’s plate. The person who waited on us (the owner?) was exceptionally friendly and stopped off to talk through all of the various types of butter on the table (no, seriously, like four different kinds and all equally amazing!). We will definitely be back for lunch — and more butter.“
