“We have been unable to find good Chinese takeout until discovering Sichuan Cuisine. Our meal was delicious. The mapo tofu was amazing. Same for the shredded pork with garlic sauce. Every single fish we ordered (6 total) was excellent. This is our new go-to spot. Thank you!!“

“Oh man this place is delicious! Had the General Tso’s Chicken and the sichuan dumplings to start. Everything was excellent, chicken was perfectly fried, but did not feel heavy, soo flavorful. Would recommend, come again, and try more menu items.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Stone Pot Green Pepper Fish was absolutely amazing! 🔥
It arrived at the table still sizzling, and the aroma instantly made everyone hungry. The fish was incredibly tender and fresh, with no fishy taste at all. Every bite was soft, flaky, and perfectly cooked.
The green peppers added a bright, fragrant heat — spicy but not overwhelmingly intense. The broth had a subtle numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorns, but it didn’t overpower the natural flavor of the fish. Everything was well-balanced and layered with flavor.
It pairs perfectly with white rice, and honestly, I couldn’t stop eating it. So happy to find such authentic Sichuan flavor in Boston. Definitely a must-order dish and one I will come back for! 🔥“

“We were here on a cold night. It's a beautiful family run restaurant. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and food is delicious and most authentic in town. Their ingredients are FRESH and just in the right balance. We loved the hostess who is a very kind and humble person. She treats you like a family member and is so friendly and welcoming. This is our go to place for comfort and nourishing food ❤️🙏“

“They have several locations in greater Boston. The one in Framingham was the original. This Burlington location has most of the menu selection and very similar if not the same tastes/ingredients. A great place for someone likes spicy sichuan food.“

“Came back for the first time in a while and everything was just as good as I remembered, if not better. The owner recommended dishes after I told him what I was feeling like eating, and every single plate was absolutely delicious. The fragrant flavors brought me back to China immediately. I ended up getting some eel, pork kidney, fish maw, beef, pork bone soup, and their signature noodles. This restaurant is for sure the most authentic Sichuan food you can get around the area.“

“We have a new office in Boston. So periodically I drive down from our main office to the Boston location and every time I do, I have resolved to try a new restaurant. This was today’s choice and it was SPECTACULAR! My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well. The location is a bit small and that is literally the only nit I can pick. If you’re in this area, get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!“

“I’ve been to Five Spices many times. The food is delicious, but I often have some intestinal distress afterward, possibly from the oil. Still, it’s tasty enough that I go back occasionally. The deep-fried chicken with red peppers is especially good.“

“Very busy chinese restaurant with good quality food, slightly on the pricey side but really delicious. Many vegetarian-friendly options available, huge portions and very friendly staff. Highly recommend! Worth the wait of the long lines during rush hour. Sometimes they offer a voucher discount if you buy prepaid dining credits.“

“Wanted to try their lunch specials. The portions were very large and reasonably priced. You get only white rice and soup with your Entree. Portions are big enough to share. Big choice of classic Chinese food. You would need to order appetizers extra if you want it. Fried rice is on the dinner menu, but lunch is only white rice. Dinner portions are large enough to share. Next time we will order one dinner entree, one order fried rice or lo-mein, and one appetizer about the same price as 2 lunches.“

“Delicious and reasonably priced! The high was the gluten free menu which made it simple to know exactly what I could eat (they also have gluten free soy sauce). Waitress answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable eating there with celiac disease!“

“Came in on a Sunday evening when every other hot pot spot in Allston had lines out the door. This was the only place where we could sit right away. Based on the name, I assumed it was strictly a hot pot joint, but the menu was much broader. Standard QR code ordering system, food came out fast.
Most of my friends recommended the dry pots, so we went with pork and beef versions, plus a regular pork hot pot for comparison. All pots come with six toppings by default (vegetables and noodles), with proteins as add-ons. Even with extras, each pot was under $25, and the portions were huge. The regular hot pot was fine, but the dry pots had way more flavor and heat. Since I don’t have dry pots often, it’s difficult to say whether this was top tier, but most of the toppings were good quality.
We also tried the stir-fried string beans and chili wontons, both solid. But knowing how big the pots were, we probably could’ve skipped the sides.
Overall not as flashy as the big-name hot pot spots nearby, but way easier to get into and much cheaper. Might come back for the dry pots.“

“Food was very fresh and tasty! Definitely will be back! My sister had the beef noodle soup, she likes it spicy! I had a stir fry mix of meats & lots of veggies & noodles. Excellent & filling!“
“Generous portions for cheap! They give a lot of rice which fills you up, but a decent portion of main dish (I got pork and tofu). The main dishes are a bit oily, but they taste very good. The pork had a decent amount of lean meat as well as fatty, which is good. I wish the tofu had a little more taste, but it was still good. Food came very quickly. The soup it came with was too salty though, tasted like salt water. Everything here was around $12 which is a good deal! Recommend for a quick but filling meal.“

“My 100% go-to for hot pot. Sauce bar, all-you-can-eat, huge menu, and great service. What else can I say? You’ll be eating within five minutes of sitting down. Also, don’t forget the to-go ice cream if you eat in! Ibasaw checks all the boxes when it comes to hot pot.“

“The hand pulled noodles are amazing! Very authentic and fresh.
I recommend the N3. Spicy Hot Oil Seared Noodles. This was one of the best hand pulled noodles I've had. 11/10.
The Kung Pao Chicken came with either white rice or fried rice and a soup (we chose egg drop soup). There were more veggies than shrimp, and although the shrimp was good the veggies were a bit hard.
Regardless, definitely a great authentic restaurant for hand pulled noodles.“
