“Unfortunately, my party made the waitress' job harder than it had to be. Thankfully, she decided to still give us the best customer service possible and even took the time to come chat with us. I am so glad she was gracious to us. I got the takoyaki and duck udon noodles and I love that the duck was both crispy and juicy. I will definitely be back.“

“Omori hits again. I frequented the location in Brookline when I lived in the city. Now that I’m outside the city, I was so pleased to see Omori had another location. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is incredible too! Highly recommend any of the yakitori!“

“Every city, county, town I visit I must try the sushi! This place had your typical sushi choices. I just felt there were so many choices and without pictures it can be hard to choose. Some items were the same but had 2 different names because one ingredient was different.“

Over the past month, I’ve tried the chicken teriyaki bowl and multiple sushi rolls. Everything is so delicious, so reasonably priced, and always ready to go within just a few minutes of ordering. The portion sizes are large and reasonable for what they cost, and the service is very quick and friendly. This has definitely become one of my staple lunch spots in the area!“

“Good! But I can’t say it lived up to the hype. Maybe with all the buzz, I had some pretty high expectations. Ordered the hot spicy niku udon and the broth was really delicious, tempura was well executed, but the udon itself (I love udon and was super excited for this) wasn’t anything special and lacked a bit of bounce/chew…so was a bit of a let down for me considering all the buzz. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good and tasty and I’d go back!

“I love this restaurant! They provide high class food, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I like very much tasting all their food. The dishes are consistently fresh, the attitude towards the clients is agreeable. I often go to this restaurant and I was never discontended. Highly recommended.“

“This place was fantastic for a party of 13! The food was great, well priced, and the staff were attentive and helpful.

I had a problem with a receipt and had to call the manager of the restaurant. He was extremely helpful and proactive.

We got the chicken teriyaki, with vegetables, and noodles.

Chicken and noodles were awesome! Some of the vegetables were on the cold side, which is my only complaint.

Employees were very friendly and you tell they cared about their customers.

“Ive been looking for decent teriyaki bowl places around Boston. Many places have sushi in addition to teriyaki bowls. This place just does teriyaki bowls at a decent price and pretty tasty. They have a limited menu, so you cannot get lost in the items. Had a beef and shrimp teriyaki bowl with some rice and was good. For the quality, price, and taste, I give it a 5/5. Highly recommend.“

Admittedly, I haven't been to Avana Sushi 1, but this second iteration probably has nothing to envy it. The food was fresh and the order came out quick. I ordered some Cali and salmon rolls, with seaweed salad and Gyoza, all neatly presented, for a solid lunch.
