“My wife and I were in Wakefield to purchase car and when we were finished we realized we had not eaten all day. We found this gem of a diner. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I started with the beef stew. it was excellent. It was not to salty, you could tell it was homemade the flavor brought me back to childhood. My wife started with the chicken and rice soup which she said was also fantastic, once again not to salty. I had the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. The gravy was outstanding. My wife had the teriyaki chicken stir-fry which was delicious. We needed the meal by brining home 6 raisin oatmeal cookies. I would highly recommend North Ave. Diner if you are in the area.“

My wife and I both got a full breakfast and a side of bacon and pancakes for only 28 bucks. It would have been roughly 40+ anywhere else. Food was fantastic as well!

And the service was even better than the food if you can imagine that!

Atmosphere may not be up your alley, it's an older spot and looks like such but once you walk in you'll either smile and sit down and have a great breakfast with incredible service, or you'll miss out lol

Either way Ernie's has become me and my wife's new favorite spot for breakfast (when we're lazy lol) on weekends!“

“I just tried this place this past Saturday .. it was my birthday and this was my special treat. My husband got a dozen (all different kinds from maple bacon to cannoli.. to apple cider whoopie pie and more! )..And omg.. Best. Donuts. Ever. They are (by far!) the most delicious, lightest, fluffiest melt in your mouth, loaded with flavor, huge and just all around most fantastic donuts I’ve ever had in my life!! I just had surgery on my hand and I mentioned to my cousin how an omelette would be easier to eat then picking up a sandwich. “I've often walked past this great place during my daily walks. The blinds were always down, so I thought it wasn't open. However, when my sister visited from Quincy earlier this week, we decided to have breakfast there. Peter’s Sunrise did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. My sister even said the toast was the best she had ever had at a breakfast restaurant. The coffee is good too. The service was welcoming as well. Today will be my 4th time having breakfast there. I highly recommend it.“

“This place is great. I am not a breakfast person so I go for lunch. Two great items are the burgers and the fried haddock sandwich with steak fries. Burger always cooked the way you like it. I like well done. Fried haddock is considered a special item but usually available. This is delicious if you like fried items. I am there every Saturday for lunch. Give this place a try. You will not regret it.“
