“I finally had the chance to try this restaurant out. I got the sisig nachos and the tapsilog. I found that, although I normally dip my tapa in vinegar, I didn’t need to since it was flavoured just right. I loved the sisig and would have preferred plain nacho chips or maybe a lightly flavoured lime one rather than the nacho flavour only because I think the sisig deserved more of the spotlight. It had great flavour. The service also was great, the girl is super nice and welcoming and I didn’t feel embarrassed eating alone. My only wish is that I had more people with me to be able to try more dishes. Maybe for next time I’ll bring a few people and have the big kamayan dinners they offer. “Jollibee is always our go-to place, especially when we are with the kids. This Mother’s Day, we had many options on where to celebrate, but we still chose Jollibee because our children truly love it — from the moment they see the Bee sign up to enjoying their favorite meals, especially Chickenjoy and Ube Pie, which everyone in the family loves.

Special mention to the staff at the Ellice branch, especially “Weng,” who is naturally friendly, customer-focused, knowledgeable, and very efficient at her job. As soon as I showed the app on my phone for the Mother’s Day special and to redeem my points, she immediately assisted me and took the time to help. She also never forgets to ask for my Chickenjoy preference, which is always a mix of regular and spicy.

Another associate, whose name I unfortunately failed to get, was also very kind and efficient. He proactively asked if we needed extra plates and cutlery — something I usually forget to request. Hopefully this helps identify him: he served our Order #14 around 2 PM on May 10 at the Ellice branch.

“I've only ever come to Myrna's for breakfast. The value is wild, but the food is what keeps me coming back. The garlic rice fills whatever gaps the eggs and choice of meat don't fill (the crispy pork and the sliced beef are my top two breakfast choices.)“

“If you’re looking for the best Filipino food in Winnipeg, you seriously need to check out Jeepney on Inkster. The vibe is great, but the food is on another level.
​You have to get the Lechon Baka—it’s incredibly tender and honestly some of the best roast beef I’ve ever had. Their Pork BBQ skewers are also a total must; they have that perfect char and sweet marinade that hits just right.
​It’s clear the team there puts a lot of heart into what they do. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and give them a try. We’ve got a amazing food scene here in Winnipeg, and this place is a huge part of it!“

“Wife ordered pancit canton and toron; it was one of the best that she had among all other filipino/chinese restaurant. We took it for to go and almost no hassle from the moment they took our order to receiving it. At first, they gave our order to the wrong person. Good thing the other guest did not went out yet. Which was corrected right away. Humam error happens and they manage to fix it immediately.“
