“Friendly staff and great food!“

“This place is almost always hopping so we decided to try it for ourselves. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy, the yucca had good flavor but also was very soggy by the time we got home a little less than 10 minutes later. The beans were a bland, but the Peruvian fried rice was top notch.

It won't replace our normal go to spot for pollo a la brasa but it's easy to see why these guys have been in business since the 80s. Would definitely recommend trying this spot out.“

“The wings and everything so far here are so much better then the Clopper Rd. and Rockville locations. Was skeptical because of those 2 places over the years that they have made us not to order from them anymore, but we will absolutely continue to order from here if they continue to serve like they have.“

“Personally not a huge fan of chic Fil as food but can completely understand why people enjoy it. The service is excellent. No matter how busy it is, the workers remain extremely kind and respectful. Unlike chipotle across the street, where they’ll give you attitude and waste your time even when they’re not busy.“

“Stayed at a local hotel and ordered from Door Dash. SECRET SPICY CHICKEN was great. Pretty much like General Tso's Chinese but a tad spicier. Large pieces of good quality chicken, even the medium order was too much for me. Pair it with steamed white rice, put the rice in the sauce. Very good.“

“We were initially reluctant to try this place because my son is vegetarian. So we were surprised by how much vegetarian options they had, not just sides. My son had the veggie burrito but they also had a veggie platter, veggie quesadillas, veggie empanadas, and taco salad (ask for no chicken). My husband had the salcipapa, which is a Peruvian street snack of sausages and fries. Nice clean sitting area too.“

I was there yesterday and inquired about their sauce and the employee was really sweet about. I appreciated his kind gesture and it made me love this place even more.

“Ordered the 4 piece chicken with fries and beans. The chicken was delicious and fried to perfection and beans were fine but the fries were reheated and inedible. I was surprised because I was told I had a 5 minute wait so they could make the fries. The next time won’t order fries. Shame because the chicken was good.“

“The last 3 times we used the drive through our order was wrong. Sometimes the sauces were wrong, Sometimes the dressing for the salad and today the milkshake was handed to my husband in such a way that it wound up in his lap. We love your food but your service is in need of improvement.“

“We really enjoyed our dine-in meal of: Thai green curry with shrimp, Szechuan green beans, Triple delight and pan fried noodles with shrimp. Everything was delicious! The new decor is lovely and the staff are very welcoming. Looking forward to trying the home-made dumplings next time.“

“It's impossible not to compare Don Pollo to other local Peruvian chicken places, like Crisp & Juicy or el Pollo Rico. Because of that there's a high bar set. The chicken is fresh, juicy, and well seasoned, but I'd have preferred a more crispy skin. The black beans and rice lacked flavor, definitely needed salt. The fries were where they lost me. They weren't fresh, weren't seasoned, weren't hot, and worst of all, they were kind of soggy. The sauces were very good. You get a bright green spicy sauce, that seems to be made from fresh peppers, perhaps jalapeño. Then there's a mayo based creamy orange colored sauce. Frankly because the chicken is so well seasoned, I don't think it needs sauce, but it's nice to have the option.“

“The Olney store is clean and comfortable. I especially liked the way the manager, Brian, was observant when two staff members were being unprofessional. Even though they were off the clock, they were still in uniform eating in the dining area. He spoke discreetly with them because they were being loud. He also cleared my tray for me, which is uncommon these days in a fast food restaurant. I'd return to this location again and again. The food is fresh and so yummy!“
