“I can see why people want to keep this little spot a secret. Tucked away on a side street this unassuming coffee shop is a real gem.

I got a caramel latte and one of the creme donuts and the coffee impressed me at the first sip. Really smooth, not bitter and perfect sweetness. The donut was a perfect accompaniment. Service was attentive and quick.

“I ordered a cake on Thursday at 1 pm to be picked up 4:30 pm on Friday for a birthday party. The man who picked up the phone was so accommodating and made sure that the customized message had the correct spelling of my name. When the cake was picked up, the lady was extremely lovely and kind. 10/10 would recommend and will be buying another birthday cake (very soon) from this bakery. I have also visited this bakery before to buy a n emergency cake and they have lots in the display case available. Perfect, delicious cakes. The one I got (raspberry chocolate mouse) was semi sweet and light, good for adults.“

“Fantastic pastries! The fruit/berry pastries and mochi donuts are my go-to and my husband loves all the varieties of croissants. The coffee can be hit and miss (sometimes the flavorings they put in their specialty lattes are a tad overpowering) but they're good enough that I will keep ordering them. Staff is always great, too. Very friendly and they work hard to make sure the displays are full and fresh.“

I usually like a custard flavored taiyaki, but the chocolate won me over with its amazingly strong chocolate flavor. I also had the an/red bean flavored filling, which was generously spilling out. Also delicious. Hard to choose which is the best flavor, so why not go for all 3. You can't go wrong. Only wish you were open on a weekday... As an aside, the customer service was equally as great. “It's hectic and packed with people.. the food may be good but the lids don't fit the cups. Parking is a nightmare and parking lot is usually full. Order online is slightly easier but the shelf is typically empty and you still need help from staff to grab the things behind the counter.“

My back ground is culinary/hospitality industry and was so impressed by service and also food quality.. His family and my family celebrated our special occasions every year. Now, we are coming back here again on August 27th to celebrate his 68th wedding anniversary and their 90years birthday also. This is his wife's pick and I and he are excited for next week event.“

I decided to walk 1.5 miles in the snow to the Starbucks nearby only to be turned away as they were only taking drive-through customers. Thankfully I decided to walk around the corner and found Donut King was open with free Wi-Fi! The employees were so nice and friendly despite the cold. I ordered a cappuccino and logged onto my computer just in time for my meeting. My coffee was hand delivered, along with several donuts on the house, which turned out to be the only food I had for much of the day. This was an unexpected and delightful treat.
