The man who picked up the phone was so accommodating and made sure that the customized message had the correct spelling of my name. I asked if we could get a slice that isn’t frozen and the woman helping us didn’t have the best attitude about it. Misunderstandings happen but I don’t think it was handled well that time. It had a very strong lavender taste, which tasted odd for me. “Came across this place since it was super close to my hotel during a business trip. Gotta have my matcha fix while I'm away from home! There's a kiosk you can order on. I ordered the matcha red bean towel cake and the Dream of Sakura, which is a sakura raindrop cake. The matcha red bean towel cake is essentially a rolled, wrapped up crepe cake with some whipped cream and red bean inside, topped with matcha powder. The matcha powder overpowered the cake and unfortunately I found it to be pretty bitter, but I still enjoyed it. The Dream of Sakura is a raindrop cake which is agar jelly encasing some sakura flowers. It's topped with some toasted soybean powder. Honestly it wasn't impressive, it's just pretty to look at. The flavor was tasteless, it's just a lightly sweet agar jelly and the brown sugar syrup overpowering it. At least I can say I finally got to try a raindrop cake though! I have to return in the area again sometime for work so I'll give it another go, the soft serve and drinks looked delicious.“

At first I was not sure what the fuss was all about, but now that I'm more of a regular and have sampled most of their product types, I know what's good. What's great about this shop is that they have a bit of everything, and much of it is made fresh daily, especially when it comes to bread, morning pastries and doughnuts. Things like cookies and cupcakes are probably not made daily, and at times I've had some cupcakes that were a bit dry. Where they stand out is what they make on a daily basis - the doughnuts and morning pastries and they make some decent breads and buns. The cookies have often been a miss for me as well as some of the other baked desserts. The cupcakes I would overall recommend the specialty ones, such as the Hostess and carrot cake. But what ends up bringing me into the shop on some mornings after my Saturday parkruns? The cronuts! They are big, fresh and oh so delicious. Even the day after, the are amazing (even more doughy and dense, in a good way!) The service is always fast and friendly and the price is very fair too!“

I was in a pinch to get a cake last minute for a gathering and passion bakery had a great selection of cakes in multiple sizes on display. I went with the mango mousse cake which was delicious. The mousse and cake were soft and fluffy. It had a good mango flavor and everyone loved the cake. The staff were very helpful in helping me pick a cake and wrapped it up perfectly that made it easy to transport. Would definitely come back to try other items on their menu.“
