“One of the best restaurants I've been to in my 34 years of life. Visited January 2017 and still remember my experience. The food was very delicious and generously portioned. My personal favorite dishes were the nachos and crab cakes. I remember that the service was excellent. We were seated in minutes, and it was still very busy. “Once you try one of the Sunshine Store's sandwiches, you will wonder why it took so long to try one! 😊 My husband and father in law introduced me to this hidden pleasure the first time I visited the area. We started with breakfast (tasting the local culinary treasure of scrapple), then I was introduced to their burgers on the same trip, and I was surprised that everything is cooked to order. I have not found any burger yet that is close to comparison!! My husband's family has made this a regular stop for sandwiches over several decades and generations. My father in law (nearby farmer/owner of Greenstone Custom Farming) has eaten there for several decades along with feeding his crew from this hidden gem, this has been a favorite of my husband's since he was old enough to eat there, and now it is a favorite place for our children to eat with grandpa. The store is small and with limited seating, it would be best to order the food to go or if you are eating alone you can sit at the counter and watch your food be prepared. A must try in the area and definitely worth the drive through the beautiful countryside!“

“I went here with my fiancee during the weekend, and woweee. It was quite loud and lively during brunch time. The table next to us was *SO* loud. It was such a turn off because they were obviously done having food, and still spent their sweet time yelling over at each other, talking. Oh dear, it was a bit stressful during hunger pangs. I wanted to go home immediately, but that changed soon after we got our appetizer. 😅 Also, of note, several vegan items during brunch are unavailable during weekends and federal holidays. I didn't love that, considering it was my first time visiting their restaurant. So, just be cognizant of that. I really enjoyed the cauliflower bites, and my vegan "chicken" sandwich. Their home fries are marked vegan on the menu, so that was a nice surprise. With some bell peppers and a little bit of tomato sauce, it was a nice touch of zing. “This is our 3rd Easter dining at seasons 52 and as always the food and service were amazing. The only complaint, and not even one really, is when I make the reservation on open table I always put in for a booth. I have an elderly father with back and hip issues and the chairs are very uncomfortable for him to sit too long. However we never get seated at a booth. I made this reservation 3 months ago so a booth seating really shouldn't have been an issue. Regardless we will be back again next Easter because like I said the food is outstanding and our server was wonderful.“

“Classic and reliable greasy spoon with delicious food and the owner remembers me every time I come in even though I only come through once every few years when I’m in the area. What it lacks in ambience is quickly forgotten once you bite into their cheeseburger. I hope this place never changes. It’s a throwback to the 80’s with the old menu boards still on the wall. You expect the Stranger Things crew to come hang here.“

“My friends and I went to Motorkat today after attending a play in Olney. Mikey was our server and was a stellar server. He was friendly yet professional. We came in with an appetite. We started with the smoked salmon and artichoke dip. The portion size was nice, and the chunky texture and flavor fit well with the Saltines. Next was the pistou salad, roasted sunchokes and the pork belly with creamy grits. The pistou salad was artfully plated and was soo good. The roasted sunchokes came with a miso ranch dressing and sesame seeds. It was so good and the mixed textures worked well. The pork belly sat on a bed of the creamiest grits I've ever had. The pork belly was tender, and the smoky tomatoes were a great paring and provided just enough acidity to cut through the richness of the dish. Still hungry, we ordered the flank cut short ribs and broccolini. The grilled broccoli were lighly tossed with chili garlic sauce, peanuts and basil. Divine. The flank cut ribs were Cumin scented and accented with a tart cucumber salad. They were fork tender and very flavorful. Our only disappointment was the scallion Pancake with pickled vegetables. We felt that overall then presentation was nice, but the Pancake was a bit thick and was a bit charred on the bottom. The pickled vegetables overpowered the pancake.. Out meal ended with mango sorbet. Overall, we loved the service Mikey provided, and all the staff was gracious. I highly recommend this spot for dinner. Thank you!“

“A hidden gem, we had a Large Party of 8, Mother’s Day with no reservations. After being turned away from 2 other restaurants, no seating. We came to The commons. Where we were welcomed to a spacious table. Great, no fantastic personal service from Sayeed & staff. Good food & drinks. Nice atmosphere, I most definitely will be back. “Nancy's kitchen is a very basic diner in terms of its atmosphere. It's tables in a space.

The wait staff, however, forms a tag team where everybody checks every table. They're all very friendly and attentive. Because of their process, you're never quite sure who to ask for something, but it turns out everybody will help with whatever you need. Coffee and water is refilled regularly.

The food is very good and the price is fair. If you are in the area and hungry, I think this is definitely a good place to stop. One confusing aspect is it is seat yourself. That isn't clear but the wait staff will guide you to seating yourself. Once you are seated, they'll bring you menus and start taking your orders.“
