“Super adorable family-owned bakery -- they also have a great drink menu and sell some packaged Asian snacks and ice cream too. Everything I've ever ordered here has been delicious but some favorites include: their cream bun (which they fill with cream right when you order it so that it's as fresh as possible and doesn't make the bread soggy), their black sesame mochi bread, and red bean and mochi bread.“

I suggested to the owner that the side vegetables should be made into a combo dish, to which they accommodated my request. Smart decor and amiable service. “It’s convenient right next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Took us 2 minutes to get there. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes great and made well and fast. The ladies there are very nice and helpful. I got the French toast and bacon and an orange juice from the cooler. And they had fresh fruit which was very sweet and delicious. Starting the day with a breakfast sandwich from the Merriweather Cafe & Deli would sustain me the entire day sometimes, and the staff there are very friendly, which also adds to starting off the day nicely. I hadn't been there in a while and was glad to see they are still open. NOTE: There is no big sign on the building. There is a glass door on the first floor (by the main upper parking lot entrance) and just has a sign saying Merriweather Deli and their hours. Enjoy!

We have gone to this location twice now, and both experiences were so special I felt compelled to write something. First off, Kevin, a rather tall host is a special person. Even with a busy crowd, he took the time to go the extra mile, ensuring we had the extra energy to preparing our seating to accommodate our needs. He did it with such delight, it's rare to see someone help with their heart and not just because they have too. Due to a few special needs, food preparation is key. Cheers to the chefs, some folks we did not meet, but big thanks to Charles, our waiter. He ensured everything was correct, THE FIRST TIME! We do not get to eat out that often, for a variety of reasons, but this location made us feel special and welcoming and most important, gave us that sense we could trust them to care for us. Again, big props to management for hiring people like Kevin and Charles, and creating an atmosphere that you want to return too, even if you have a family with many different types of needs.“

I told her 3. then she told me I can sit wherever. there was 2 tables open. one way in the back and one in front. I choose the one in front then she said I can't sit there. I said you said I can sit wherever. she walked away and told one of the guys in the back who proceeded to yell and tell me I can't sit there and they have big tops coming in. “After reading reviews for Food for Thought, thought we would give it a try. OMG! This is my kind of place! Not only was the wait staff knowledgeable and friendly, the service was beyond compare! And the food...exeptional! I had the pitischo parm encrusted chicken with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. My husband had the Angus cheeseburger and beet salad. Both were wonderful! Did I mention the rolls and cornbread? Yummy! And the cherry on top was the trivia/discussion cards on each table (not to mention the biographies and quotes that served as wall decor.) As I said "My kind of place"! Best restaurant in Williamsburg! Will definitely be returning!! 5+ stars from me!!!“

The owner provided very friendly service as well as his other staff. He was very patient in informing me of the available meal options, and allowed me to sample the chicken items that I was interested in
