“Update: 2024
Still THE BEST PHO in the DMV! I used to live closer, but now i drive across town to get here, 100% worh the drive! They now accept credit cards as well.
A lot of pho places, especially the "trendy" ones, don't have fat brisket on the menu. This one does. YUM! I always get a large 10 and Cafe sua da.
Original review:
My favorite pho in the DMV! Hot, fast, nothing fancy, cash only, manager is super nice.
Dietary restrictions: If you have celiac, the pho is fine here. I've been coming for years and never had an issue. Obviously, don't add hoisin to your pho.
Parking: Lots of parking right outside the front door
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs“

“I got the pho with steak and brisket and it was incredible. The broth had such a good mix of flavors and perfect amount of spice. We also got the spring rolls and they were so hot and fresh and had the best tasting filling.
Very large portions, couldn’t finish the entire bowl but I definitely tried.“

“The Buttonwood is incredibly aesthetic and has comfortable chairs. We will be returning! Very very reasonably priced too. While it isn’t fully open so there is only a partial menu, the food they have is good and there are gluten free vegan and dairy free options! The salt and paper chicken is GF and dairy free and delicious. Same with the Pakora! The drinks were very creative and yummy too. For a little bit our server disappeared and we were the only people in the restaurant, but it was the end of the meal anyways so was a bit inconsequential. He was very friendly and helpful and welcoming too.
Definitely worth the try.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options. Ask about dairy free options.“

“The taste is very interesting and the price is very affordable.
I ordered the H5 HU Tiue Bo Khh, which is rice noodles with a braised beef soup base. It has a lot of beef brisket and tendons, and it is large and affordable.“

“The best Pho I’ve had so far. I absolutely love Vietnamese food and everywhere I go I will try a new restaurant. This has been my favorite so far. We order the garden vegetable rolls and the #13. It’s quite, fairly priced, quick servicing, and the portions are huge.“

“Not an expert in Vietnamese food but always try something different when away from home. Pork summer rolls and lemongrass beef vermicelli were fresh and flavorful with (requested) hot sauce and extra herbs. Generous portion served two for just under $20. Basic food court near our hotel was fairly deserted but clean and comfortable enough for a quick lunch.“

“We LOVE Vietnamese food. The best place for Vietnamese food we’ve ever been (outside of Vietnam, of course) is not Paris or New York but Houston. By far. And Indochine in Baltimore stands up to many Houston spots. It’s that good. The vegan options are limited, but you’ll be so happy with the banh mi, the pho, and the rolls that you won’t care. The bread for the sandwich, in particular, was exquisite, and the vegan broth for the soup was tasty. Go!“

“Pho was way better than expected, considering the fast-food feel of the place (order/pay standing at the counter).
Boba tea is on point and the tapioca was never "stale" tasting.
Bahn Mi was good for a take out.“

“Pho Miss Saigon was a spontaneous choice due to road closures that sent us a different route, but I am glad we visited.
My SO and I enjoyed pho with the works and bun cha gio with grilled pork. The pho broth was fantastic from the first to last sip. ❤️❤️❤️ The bun cha was fine, but service was slow enough that some of the fresh veg seemed like it was slightly dried out. The marinated, grilled pork was so, so, so good though that I didn't end up caring too much. ?? The thai tea was good, but not better than my homemade stuff, so I probs wouldn't get it again.
I will ?% return for the pho and anything that includes their grilled pork.“

“For Vietnamese in columbia, Md. this is the place. My meal was H1, the grilled pork with roll. The quality of food stand out exceptionally, super clean tables and environment, and service of all staff is quite good and friendly. Oh and the portions are enough for two. This is a hidden gem!“

“Today was my first time here and I tried so many delicious dishes! I was searching for the closest location that had Bahn Mi Sandwiches like I had in California! This place, Viet Pearl exceeded my expectations!! Their chicken wings taste like home fried chicken wings!“

“Very very basic. Nothing interesting as far as flavors. Barely any chicken and a TON of noodles. Only taste is sweet. Disappointed and won’t return“

“I don't know why this place isn't more popular. This place has the best price for pho ($13 for large) and they load up the meat. The broth is not as sweet as others but still very flavorful and has a meaty taste like in Hanoi. Everything is delicious and the food comes out FAST! This will be my go to pho joint from now on.“
