“We came here for a joint birthday dinner for my 13 year old daughter and her 80 year old grandfather. There were 7 of us, so it was a fairly big party, but we had a wonderful time.

I want to make a special shout-out to our server, Eli, who was fabulous all night. I know a table that size on a busy Saturday night can be really difficult to manage, but he did a great job of taking care of us. Our drinks were always full, our food was always brought out as soon as it was out of the kitchen, and he was not only a fantastic server, but he was a very fun and pleasant person to interact with. (He even did a little candle in each dessert for both my daughter and father-in-law.)

We eat here fairly often and I have never had a meal that I didn't like. The food is always incredibly well seasoned and prepared.
We had a variety at the table on Saturday: a filet, a pork chop, three salmons, and a sea bass entree and everyone said their food was awesome. I can't recommend this place enough.“

“Wide open spaces with an appeal to many demographics. While beer choice is the theme, an interesting food menu complements the offerings. There is even a focus on low calorie items (delicious) so you can spend your calories on the beer, or just enjoy table conversation while not glued to your phone screen. The signature beer offering in a "yard" doesn't match the German two liter size, which is probably a good thing. Go take a couple of laps around the Rio lake to spend some of the calories you consumed, or even head west to find a good book at Barnes & Noble (still around and even growing).“

“Always love Comus Inn! Food is reliability delicious. Service is good but today they had a bike fund raiser and tables outside. We lost our server midway through bc she was helping the outside tables. Someone who I think was prob the mgr stepped in to help but it was noticeable. Please hire more people. Crab toast was awesome as was the duffle pancakes, BLTA, smash burger and eggs Benedict.“

The buffet included turkey, halibut, prime rib, chicken and they had plenty of great side dishes to include a delicious stuffing, grilled brussels sprouts, and string beans. The ambience could've included a little more Thanksgiving background, like a picture backdrop to memorize the day and some holiday music pipped into the seating area. Otherwise, all was great.“

“My girlfriend and I come to this longhorn all the time at least once or twice a month. We order the exact same meal every time. So that's how we could tell something was wrong with my gfs steak. The experience is usually great. We visited on 10/17/24 we both ordered ribeye 12oz med-well but my gfs steak looked and tasted way different than mine. Mine was cooked very well and hers had the well done look and was very rubbery. She sent it back to get it re cook and Sydney(I guess she was a manager or something) brought it back out and gave her a med done steak when we asked for med-well Sydney proceeded to say that's just how we do our med-well steaks hinting to us that's how they do all their med-well ribeye steaks even though that's not true since my steak came out perfectly. Her tone was unwelcoming and we did not appreciate that. She tried to make it seem like my gf didn't know what she was talking about. We both took a bit of offense to that because we are normal customers here and our waiter adrien could attest to that. Our waiter Adrien was very professional and did a great job with the experience.“

“I have been going to Tom and Rays since the old location. What makes them stand out is the cost conscience menu, fresh tasting food, and a staff mostly local high school kids that are professional with can do attitude. Right now I’m raving about something as simple as stewed tomatoes as a complementary side dish. Their breakfast foods including creamed chipped beef fresh. Their lunch and dinner foods bring you back, especially the open faced beef sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy, to a simpler time. Check out their menu and ask them about their pies.“

“Overall, very good experience. The menu is solid and the Hot Dogs are delicious. My only issue with this place is there’s no one there to greet you when you arrive, you’re left wondering what to do. Take a seat? Wait to be seated? Ring the bell?. In fact one time we stood around so long, we just left. Again, once you are situated, the service is great and food is delicious. I think they should really improve the arrival with a host or someone monitoring the door. It’s a small restaurant in a small town.“
