“Once you try one of the Sunshine Store's sandwiches, you will wonder why it took so long to try one! 😊 My husband and father in law introduced me to this hidden pleasure the first time I visited the area. We started with breakfast (tasting the local culinary treasure of scrapple), then I was introduced to their burgers on the same trip, and I was surprised that everything is cooked to order. I have not found any burger yet that is close to comparison!! My husband's family has made this a regular stop for sandwiches over several decades and generations. My father in law (nearby farmer/owner of Greenstone Custom Farming) has eaten there for several decades along with feeding his crew from this hidden gem, this has been a favorite of my husband's since he was old enough to eat there, and now it is a favorite place for our children to eat with grandpa. The store is small and with limited seating, it would be best to order the food to go or if you are eating alone you can sit at the counter and watch your food be prepared. A must try in the area and definitely worth the drive through the beautiful countryside!“

“Our second time here and I want to return and try more yummy food. So many original items on menu, it’s hard to choose. My sandwich was amazing. The fries are fresh and hot. I’m glad music wasn’t as loud as our previous visit in summer. I hear the pizza is delicious. It’s so great to have something close to us out here in the “country “. However, when it comes to the food, I’d say it was just okay. Nothing I’d send back, but also nothing that made me want to rave or insist someone else try it. I went on a Saturday morning for breakfast, so maybe lunch or dinner would be a different story. I’d absolutely return, if only for the ambiance and experience.“

“Nancy's kitchen is a very basic diner in terms of its atmosphere. It's tables in a space.

The wait staff, however, forms a tag team where everybody checks every table. They're all very friendly and attentive. Because of their process, you're never quite sure who to ask for something, but it turns out everybody will help with whatever you need. Coffee and water is refilled regularly.

The food is very good and the price is fair. If you are in the area and hungry, I think this is definitely a good place to stop. One confusing aspect is it is seat yourself. That isn't clear but the wait staff will guide you to seating yourself. Once you are seated, they'll bring you menus and start taking your orders.“

“Wonderful experience. We loved our waiter, Gabe. My husband and I made reservations for our anniversary. He told us congratulations and offered us each a complimentary glass of champagne right off the bat. We soon had warm bread brought to our table and then we ordered cocktails and two appetizers. All delicious. Baked brie was phenomenal. My husband had the filet mignon & I ordered a ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. After we were nearly stuffed, Gabe offered us a complimentary dessert to share. Overall an amazing experience. Cozy atmosphere. Excellent service and the food came out quickly. The price they quoted was ridiculous, so I called Arirang Hill Carry Out, and their price was great, the portions were large, and the food was ready fast.
IF I had gotten food from the original place, the order would have been a total of 10 wings, 2 fries, and rice for almost $35. At Arirang, I got MORE THA. DOUBLE the amount wings, 2 fries, and rice for UNDER $30.

“Mothers Day lunch at Corner Stable in Columbia was excellent The staff and owner are always so friendly and the food was excellent. The Mother’s Day combo consisted of a 6 oz filet which was amazing, shrimp and a crab cake and it did not disappoint. we were a table of 12 and service and meal were excellent highly recommend this location. “First time we went the Flatbread and fries were awesome. This time we tried the Aged Waygu, it was ok, definitely not worth the $200 bill. Overcooked, not very flavorful, maybe the chef was having a bad kitchen day. Wouldn’t mind trying something else, maybe next time.“

“We planned a surprise birthday celebration with coworkers at this location, which is usually spacious with plenty of available seating. However, on the day of our celebration, there happened to be four events going on—something we didn’t anticipate based on our past visits.

Upon arrival, I spoke with the restaurant manager, Alex, who was incredibly accommodating. He assured us that he would help if the community tables weren’t enough to seat our group comfortably by restaurant side. Alex and his team went above and beyond—assisting but also graciously accepting an early cake delivery and storing it in the fridge for us.

We had an amazing time and can’t thank the staff enough for their attentiveness and support with all the little details throughout our visit. Kids also had a blast.
