The food was good and fresh, kids had chicken shawarma platter and husband had the Ruben sandwich, I had the gyro special. My favorite of everything was the garlic sauce.

My husband and I have keep it in regular rotation alongside China Bistro (Mama's Dumplings), and Sichuan Jin River. Becky and Wendy are incredibly hospitable, and the food is consistently spot-on. We especially come for their authentic Szechuan and Cantonese dishes — always flavorful, always satisfying. A must-try! Generous portions deliver excellent value at a fair price.”

“I have nothing but good things to say about Gourmet Asian Bistro (7224 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). It offers Chinese, Thai, and sushi. I've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and it's been excellent every time and affordable! The vegetable tofu soup ($2.95) is huge, satisfying, and full of veggies. The wonton soup ($2.95) has 3 good sized wontons. Both soups come with a bowl of tastier-than-average fried wonton strips on the side that I end up munching on during the entire meal. The sizzling black pepper beef ($16.95?) was tasty, but I was more impressed by the noodle dishes. The beef chow fun ($14.95?) and the Singapore mei fun ($13.95) were beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've also gotten the salmon nigiri ($5.95?) a couple times, and it's generously portioned and fresh with great quality salmon. Every meal ends with a complimentary tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream and fortune cookie. There are plenty of good Chinese restaurants in MoCo, but Gourmet Asian Bistro is my current favorite for best flavor and value.”

“Went there a few weeks ago and loved it. The chicken empanadas were moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. The mixta giant tostones was excellent. I will definitely be stopping by again to pick up food in the future”

“I love this place! They have a bunch of local and craft beers on tap and one of the best selections of beers for retail in the area. If there is a beer you are looking for but can’t find, as long as the county sticks it, Ashish (the fabulous, friendly owner) will order it. The store is very clean and bright, I never have trouble finding parking, and the prices are on par with other stores. In the wine side of things, there is a good variety and prices seem a little lower than other area stores.”

“Walked over here while my car was in the shop. Got a beef arepa and fried sausage. Arepa was doused in delicious sauce but beef was a little tough, still very flavorful though. Fried salami with tostadas was stupid good”

“We've been about 5 times within 2024 and have never been disappointed. the food taste fresh and hot. You can determine the amount of seasoning you like, and condiments you like for your seafood. We never had an empty platter (at least until we said when). I will continue coming with my family throughout the year.”

McDonald’s is McDonald’s but the service makes this location special and I come to this one versus Flower Hill because the safety and food is night and day better.”

“Came here to get the Krabby patty meal and she didn't give me the small frosty that comes with it. Said something about the combo I said the meal she should have asked if I wanted the small frosty or not. She said she substituted for the drink that I didn't kno comes with it. Wendys has to be more clear cause I wanted to try the frosty. And I waited in line for a very long time just to not get the frosty.”

“Wow! What a fantastic place! I didn't expect much coming in for a business meeting, but both the atmosphere and food was just amazing!
Interior design is so well done - all the details are impressive, as well as a general look and feel.
And food... mmm.. food was 10 out of 10. 2 light dishes, dessert, tea and cocktail - everything was simply delicious! All the tastes in each dish are perfectly combined!
Service was average, but the other two components compensated fully for it.
I strongly recommend and I will definitely come back soon!”
