“Came here on a whim because I had a taste for some Caribbean food and lamb chops, and I was not disappointed. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the staff and the premises was nice and clean. I ordered the lamb chops, rice and peas, and greens and cabbage. I also ordered the deviled eggs with shrimp as an appetizer. Though the price was a bit high it was definitely worth it. They brought my appetizer out before the entree which I must say is important to me. The deviled eggs were amazing! I got 5 of them and good sized shrimp with jerk sauce. I could eat a dozen of these!! Next the lamb chops. They were okay, tons of flavors the only thing I can say is I wish they were cooked medium/medium rare but that may be on me for not asking. These were cooked closer to medium well, which wasn't bad but not my preference. But the rice and peas were great as was the greens and cabbage. The portion sizes are good (not too much and not too little) Overall, my meal was satisfying and I would return. The staff made sure I was good (also clean bathroom!) Check this place out!“

“I had a taste for Jamaican food and randomly found this restaurant in a Google search. Based on the reviews I took a chance and it paid off big time! The restaurant was immaculate! I would have no problem dining in if I were not going home. The staff was pleasant and answered my questions. I did not order in advance, so I had a short wait. But they had grown & sexy music playing so I was engaged and the time went by quickly. When I got home and opened my container, I was shocked to see the amount of food they give you. It was enough for 2 servings (would have liked a little more cabbage)! The food was DELICIOUS! The coco bread tasted like someone had just finished baking it! The beef patties were good. I had brown stewed chicken and my husband had oxtails. Both were outstanding. We also had carrot cake and bread pudding. My husband loved the carrot cake. Unfortunately, I did not try either. We have grown up our whole life eating Jamaican food and are very picky but this place is a winner! I immediately told my girlfriend about it. And we will be back!“
“I stopped by this bar on a Saturday night and the atmosphere and vibes were amazing, 2nd floor was a cool lounge area and the bartenders were on point especially JC! His energy and attentiveness was great as-well as the food and drinks recommended were 10/10. He recommended a Smokey old fashioned which was delicious as-well as the Jerk chicken which went CRAZY. I will definitely be back for the food and drinks and especially for the bartender JC!!“
“Delicious and very friendly service! I had jerk chicken (spicy) which came with rice & beans, cabbage, plus I ordered a side of plantains and a bottle of sorrel (hibiscus/ginger drink). All were excellent. I was going to try a seafood dish but those are made fresh to order and take about 20 min whereas the other dishes come out immediately. Next time I'll have to order ahead for fish! btw I accidentally dropped a tip in a coffee mug and Andrene was very gracious about it! ☺️“
“I've only had problem with food from Jam Dugie one time, all the rest 99% of the times have been great. Once you start to eat it, it's hard to stop for leftovers. They can be slow at times and get backed up. But what good Caribbean place isn't?“

De.Raanch restaurants and Bar is absolutely bed when it comes real restaurants serving food.I heard so much about De Rannch: The pioneer of authentic African restaurants restaurants. We came here today to find out for ourselves. Upon entering the door, we were greeted with a smiling face by the lady who was behind the counter..She then walked up to the dinning room and sat us down .The menu is a light booklet with all the motherland foods. I decided to go for the hard to find items: Ishiehu, Nkobi, ugba,and bitter leaf soup. My friend ordered abach( African salad) to our surprise all these items were brought to our table hot and fresh. We looked at each other and said this is it. The management is serious about thier business. No stories just good authentic food.The environment is very clean. No smells, tables are shining. The restrictions are clean. This is what I cal restaurants. I strongly recommend De Ranch for the restaurants to treat your out of town guests.“

Our server was a cool & funny Nigerian man that was very helpful + attentive. They had great music going from when we walked up and even after we left! It was a beautiful day so we opted to sit outside. Food: 12/10!!! Jerk Wings: We tore it up before we could even get a picture! Sooo good, well sized & full of flavor but not overpowering. Oxtail & Butter Beans: I'm ready to return for this plate! Fall off the bone oxtails Escovitch Red Snapper: This was really good! Cooked very very well, as if it were from the islands. Jerk Pork Belly: this was different but good, and fatty. Collard Greens: 3/10-- not a fan, I think the coconut milk in it threw us off. Drinks: Piña Colada: the most refreshing & perfectly crafted piña colada I've ever had! I know I've said this before about another place but Bammy's is now #1!! Sooooo good my friend said forget her drink and ordered one Pain Killer: Strong but tasty. This is a must when I return to DC!!“
“I will take this time out of my busy schedule to write an honest and lengthy review, especially because I don't have a picture to add (You'll understand why as you read below ?). Well deserved too ?. For the years I've been living in Bowie, FINALLY a Jamaican ?? restaurant I can go to and enjoy every bite! ? when I get home from a long shift at work, the last thing on my mind is going in the kitchen. Ramoun is truly a hunger savior! I am truly impressed by the authentic Jamaican food I can get at my fingertips! I mean, every single thing my family and I have eaten at this restaurant makes our eyes roll in our heads and moments undisturbed, as the food touches our palate ?. I can't begin to name the many items we have tried from regular everyday food, to Special food (specific days for each meal) such as Stew peas, Red beef soup, Seafood and more. The delicious menu selection makes us salvate every time! My fave is the Fry Chicken with Curry Goat gravy on the rice and peas ? my daughter is over the moon for the Stew Peas lol. The true and original selection of drinks they offer are to die for! Not to mention, when that Pineapple ginger hits your throat, it's almost like an assurance of a quick fix to any inflammatory response, common cold has to go away ?. Just recently my family tried the rum cake and they still can't get over how tasty and moist it is! To top it off, the staff is extremely nice and pleasant, the ambience and atmosphere is great and always clean ? and the hours are very convenient. “The staff at this location was good, but the quality of the food was a problem. I ordered 2 salads and the lettuce on the salads was old and the spring mix and spinach were wilted. We had to pick a lot of it out. The meat however was flavorfully and tasty. The 2 side orders were tasty as well. As far as atmosphere, the floors were sticky and needed a good cleaning. The glass partition also needed to be cleaned. Overall, a little cleaning and attention to the food would have changed the whole experience.“

“My first experience at District Jerk was I’m not the best. They seemed to be having a not so good night with the heat coming through the open walk up window competing with the AC and more orders than food. However, Manager Marissa completely turned the experience around. She asked to join us then took a seat at our table and talked to us and reassured us that that day was an anomaly. That we should give District Jerk another chance. We ended up taking our food to go and boy was the food good. The softest most flavorful oxtail! And my son said that the jerk wings were then best he’d had (I can’t speak on it bc he ate them alllll down to the bone). Bc of the experience, because of Marissa’s demeanor, we went back two weeks later! We had the salmon, the curry goat and the Rasta pasta. Chef’s kiss. We are now regulars!“
