“I wanted a good steak for my birthday and I immediately jumped on google.. I came across Lewnes Steakhouse and read the reviews. We dined there yesterday for my birthday. From the time we walked in until the time we left everything was great! The food was very delicious and our steaks were cooked to perfection as requested. The waiter was very attentive and checked on us multiple times. The complimentary brownie with fudge and Ice-cream was mouthwatering. We will be returning soon.“

“Celebrated my partners bday here with family and it was a wonderful experience!We had a waitress who told us that she was new but she certainly delivered the BEST customer service. The waitress was very accommodating with our orders and made suggestions. Food was out of this world and beers were delicious. At the end of the dinner, the waitress took her time and put over 15 candles, which we had brought, onto the cake which truly shows how great the service is here. Will be returning to this place for sure.“

“Harvest Thyme Tavern is one of our most favorite restaurants in the DMV, yet a neighborhood gem. We probably eat here more than most go out to dinner in a month. I admire the family ownership and commitment to running the establishment on a daily basis. The food is sourced from our local farmers and that’s just another reason we love this place. The quality ingredients make all the difference in the food and the cocktails. Burgers, fish, salads, pasta and pizza no one else comes close to. Everything here tastes amazing. Pam has desserts to die for, always a select menu and then she has daily offerings that will have you questioning which one to go for. Have no doubt you will love everything! Hands down the best Spicy Cadillac Margarita and that alone speaks volumes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The staff is always accommodating, personal, professional and friendly. “We met at Jalapenos for a family holiday celebration. They were able to accommodate a same day reservation for eight, and the experience was stellar. Our server, Sonia, was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I asked a question about gluten and she immediately made sure I knew of any items to avoid.
The food was delicious and we can recommend the tamales, shrimp burrito, masita cubana, ropa vieja, guacamole, and, of course, the margaritas and red sangria. Those were just the items we had, but I am sure everything else is equally satisfying.“

“Have gone to Chris’s since a teen on West Street and it was the best (being half Lebanese, we love the food) We are so happy it reopened with new ownership and location after the tornado. Beautiful inside, the food is delicious and large portions. We recently ordered Dolmades ( stuffed grape leaves) Christmas Eve and a few sides, nice surprise of a delicious baklava! Dolmades are just like my Mom made! Excellent food and a nice variety, warm friendly ownership and staff.“

“Stopped in for some hot and sour soup. It's one of the best I've had. Never get the cup, always get the bowl. They say it serves 4 but if your hungry, it serves one to two. If it's an appetizer, then four for sure, maybe five. Brought home some meals to go for the kids.“

“I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and I haven’t been disappointed. Yeah, there are times just like any restaurant where things might not be perfect or what you’d expect. But since I am a chef and I’ve worked in several restaurants, the difference between how something is cooked one day can be a difference between who’s working that day. They do make some of the best pizzas around! They have a bar, game nights, special pizza nights, buy one get one on Tuesday and even Social nights where you can cook things in the kitchen. What I recommend about Neo Pizza? Everything! It’s a good restaurant, not too overpriced. A great place to hang, socialize, have a beer and enjoy good times with friends or family.“

We seriously love this place.

Plaza Mexico has become one of those go-to spots for us in North Beach. Whether it’s a random weeknight when we don’t feel like cooking or a weekend dinner after walking by the water, it just always hits.

The food is consistently good. The tacos are packed with flavor, the fajitas come out sizzling and smell amazing, and the portions are generous without feeling over the top. It’s comforting, reliable, and exactly what you want when you’re craving Mexican food. And the margaritas? They’re strong in the best way and actually taste fresh.

What really keeps us coming back, though, is the vibe. It feels relaxed and welcoming, not pretentious, not rushed. The staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable, like they’re genuinely happy you’re there.

It’s one of those local spots that just feels easy. Good food, good drinks, good people. We’re really glad it’s in North Beach.“
