“Just discovered a gem nearby. I ate at Kandahar on 36th Street. It is owned by the previous general manager of The Helmand. What a delight. Most reasonable prices and the food was excellent. The last few times I went to the downtown location it wasn't as good, I now know why. If you haven't been there, I promise, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars”

“I dined there for the first time tonight, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and perfectly decorated. The first two drinks that I got were absolutely amazing, as they were custom-made. We also tried a flight of tequila, which was also very delicious. We both got an entrée each, and got nachos and queso. It was all absolutely delicious. The waitress kept coming back to check on us and was very attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. We’ll be back!”

“I really enjoy the aesthetic of this place. I always get an old speckled hen to drink and the typhoon fries with pork belly. The rice cakes are amazing too. This place gets better and better every time I go, and it helps asking the staff to guide you through the menu. Would recommend going on a less busy night, so you can pick where you want to sit.”

And they give you a healthy portion. I opted to have it a little spicy and it was the perfect amount of spice. Found my new favorite dish to order!”

It’s a busy restaurant for obvious reasons, but the staff made the experience a great one. The owner Carlos was super nice and stopped by to say hello to us as we have a mutual friend. “This place is such a hidden gem. I love that it’s in a very nondescript, mysterious location. The vibes are immaculate and I had the best cocktail of my life here (caffe pistachio) and they are delicious and reasonably priced. My only criticism is that the music was a bit odd, it felt like I was in a yoga studio. otherwise i would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, true speakeasy vibe for an after dinner cocktail.”

The tenders are the biggest I’ve ever seen compared to other restaurants, the seasoning on the fries are delectable, the slider with the kale slaw makes it crunchy and then the signature Dave’s sauce goes perfect with all of it. I recommend visiting”

“I was on the way to lunch and saw a coworker of mine's walking to Terry's cafe. At the time I didn't know he was going to Terry's cafe, I picked him up he took me there and I ordered my food. They were so friendly the food delicious and the owners were very courteous and professional and even gave me 3 chocolate chip cookies free. Highly recommended 5 stars if I could give more I will give them 10 stars.”
