“Just discovered a gem nearby. I ate at Kandahar on 36th Street. It is owned by the previous general manager of The Helmand. What a delight. Most reasonable prices and the food was excellent. The last few times I went to the downtown location it wasn't as good, I now know why. If you haven't been there, I promise, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars”

“I really enjoy the aesthetic of this place. I always get an old speckled hen to drink and the typhoon fries with pork belly. The rice cakes are amazing too. This place gets better and better every time I go, and it helps asking the staff to guide you through the menu. Would recommend going on a less busy night, so you can pick where you want to sit.”

“I dined there for the first time tonight, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is quaint, cozy, and perfectly decorated. The first two drinks that I got were absolutely amazing, as they were custom-made. We also tried a flight of tequila, which was also very delicious. We both got an entrée each, and got nachos and queso. It was all absolutely delicious. The waitress kept coming back to check on us and was very attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. They were so friendly the food delicious and the owners were very courteous and professional and even gave me 3 chocolate chip cookies free. The tenders are the biggest I’ve ever seen compared to other restaurants, the seasoning on the fries are delectable, the slider with the kale slaw makes it crunchy and then the signature Dave’s sauce goes perfect with all of it. I recommend visiting”
