Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. Today I drove 28 miles from home just to enjoy dinner at this great restaurant. Thank you for the good food and good service.”

“What a fantastic meal my husband and our son had. Son has been to many restaurants around the world and we all thoroughly enjoyed this one. We tried many different dishes and split them . These included the sour dough bread , liver pate, Sussex smokie, mackerel and of course had a delicious dessert after. The service and the food were fantastic.”

“We just had the best experience at this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and polite sharing lots of big smiles. We got the lamb chops which I can honestly say are some of the best we’ve had at any restaurant. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was melt in your mouth tender. The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who grew up in India. He said it’s true to his memories of food from his mother land. Please give this restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed. “Just discovered a gem nearby. I ate at Kandahar on 36th Street. It is owned by the previous general manager of The Helmand. What a delight. Most reasonable prices and the food was excellent. The last few times I went to the downtown location it wasn't as good, I now know why. If you haven't been there, I promise, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars”

Maybe one day I will try something different. Great service at a fair price, and the team always makes you feel welcome. Loved learning the Restaurant is Black Woman Owned and supported other local Black Businesses like having the TAHARKA Bros Ice Cream in the menu! We recommend the Butter Pecan or Roasted Strawberries. I didn’t mind the automatic gratuity because the service was phenomenal and should be rewarded. Katie was personable, extremely friendly and her recommendations DID NOT miss! So proud of the community and environment that has been curated here. “Terri’s Café is wonderful! I regularly use them for catered executive lunches and dinners, and they never disappoint. The food is always fresh, homemade, and delicious. I especially appreciate that they use all white-meat chicken breast, and everything is seasoned perfectly. something for every palate.  Their delivery is always on time, which is so important when you’re coordinating an executive meal. And for the quality and generous portions, their pricing is very reasonable, which makes them an excellent value for catering.  Beyond the amazing food and service, Terri’s Café is family-owned, and the owners are genuinely lovely people. You can tell they take great pride in what they do and truly care about their customers.  I highly recommend Terri’s Café for catering or just a great meal. They are consistently reliable, delicious, reasonably priced, and a pleasure to work with!”
