“I wanted to give a big shout out of appreciation to the crew who worked yesterday evening!

I have a standing order which is not difficult but for some reason most places get the order wrong and I’m calling and complaining.

I was so happy and fully satisfied with the team who made my pizzas last night!

You have no idea how much that means to me and my family!

Kuddos to all of you and a big thumbs up ?!!!

“I had the pleasure of visiting Minya’s, and it was fantastic! The pizza was absolutely delicious – the crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings fresh, and the cheese melted just right. Whether you’re a fan of classic pizza or looking for something more creative, they have a wide variety of options to choose from. My favorite is definitely the Derho pizza, love the Eritrean fusion of it all!

The service was fast and friendly, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both a casual meal or a night out with friends.

Highly recommend Minya’s if you’re craving some of the best pizza in town! I’ll definitely be coming back.

“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.“

“Flame & Cones provided pizza and dessert for our Yacht Club party. They showed up at the marina in plenty of time to get set up to deliver their goods. While they were at our request, they had sufficient food for other marina slip holders. The pizza selections were varied and most enjoyable. “The pizza was pretty good! I enjoyed meatball pizza. It was fresh and tasty. The chicken appetizer was also delicious. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Parking is very scarce so prepare enough time. Excellent customer service. I would definitely go back and try other pizzas next time I am in the area.“

“Very good pizza but very over priced. Ambiance is great and cute decor just might only be worth it if you dine in rather than order takeout. “Hot take — More restaurants need to be deaf-owned. I can't stand going to a restaurant and having to scream at the person next to me to have a conversation. Surprisingly, there was still music, but they're not blasting it.

The pizza and wine were delicious and paired great with each other! You're not going there for the finest of either, but they're also not cutting corners. We ordered a second margherita pizza immediately after ordering the first one.

Our server was Esmerelda and she was patient with my slow caveman-quality ASL. I was able to mention that it was my friend's birthday and with an ID confirmation, the staff got together and signed "happy birthday," which was a nice and sweet surprise!

I would totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a light meal without breaking the bank. No need to be intimidated by the language barrier either. You can easily point at what you want, but if you want to make more of an effort, you can scan the QR codes at the table to view animated GIFs of the staff signing things you might request like, "beer", "wine", or "parmesean cheese" — the essentials!“

“The way that I have the server make my pizza is everything. Gluten free crust, green sauce/spicy red sauce, spinach, red/green bell peppers, crushed garlic, roasted broccoli, pineapple, onions, salt, and oregano. After it's baked squeeze some balsamic dressing on it.“

“Pizzarro is such a neighborhood gem! I swung by for a jumbo pepperoni slice after a late-night stroll and it hit every note—crispy crust, melty cheese, and loads of flavor. The staff was super friendly and easygoing, which made the whole vibe feel welcoming and laid-back.

I appreciate that they've got Mediterranean options too—grabbed a Greek salad one time, and it was fresh and balanced (great for pairing with their pizzas). The casual, cozy atmosphere is perfect whether you’re dining solo, grabbing friends, or craving something late at night.

Parking can be a bit tricky on Florida Ave, but trust me—it’s worth circling for. If you're ever in Shaw and want solid pizza without fuss, this is the spot. Highly recommend!“

“Buy the slice and pizzeria and it's really good. It was recently rated by an Italian website to be the number two by the slice pizzeria in the USA. It's not listed on top 50 of by the pie though. Also, very minimal seating, so it's more like a takeout place. I'm not sure how representative the Detroit square slice is because I've never had that before but the plain slice is really good and I tried their barbecue collaboration with a local barbecue restaurant, Federalist pig...Which is also good.“

“I've had the Addis Ababa pizza and the egg and veggie breakfast sandwich, and both are really really delicious! If you're just visiting the area and aren't sure if you'll come more than once, you absolutely have to get one of the Ethiopian pizzas, you're not getting that combination of flavors maybe anywhere else. The price of the Ethiopian pizzas is fair because of the amount of toppings that go on them and how filling they are. Even on an empty stomach I get stuffed from three slices of the Addis Ababa and have to save the rest for later. The service has also been very friendly every time I've been, just a great family-run small business!“

“I came across this place by chance while walking around Washington, and it was such a great discovery! The concept is really cool — they have a self-serve tap system with around 99 different drink options to choose from, which was totally new to me. It’s a fun and interactive experience. “A very inviting corner restaurant, great for people watching and cocktails. The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was lux. We went on a Saturday and it just felt like they needed a manager around. Felt like they were really understaffed and not ready for the crowds. There were some people who had worked there longer and were directing others, and the food did come out of the kitchen timely. But there wasn't a sense of table service really, you just catch them when you can, know the candle won't get lit even after you asked and teach the server how to swipe the card. I wish they had someone tending to things, but maybe when it's slower it will be better. The pizza was good, and lots of pepperoni. I wished it wasn't quite as soggy in the middle but it tasted good. And the burrata had no flavor, no nice olive oil or pepper, very bland, but it was a hearty portion. Can't complain about the drinks. I can sense when there's no service concept so I hope they get it together.“

“We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

“This place was so perfect for our large group. The pizzas were amazingly good. We had a ton of kids with us (like, 33 kids, seriously) and ALL the kids were happy. Even the 8 adults were happy. The bbq chicken pizza was my favorite. The margarita pizza was a close second. Others in our group tried a lot of different things, including a pizza with dill pickles. It was called the "dickle pizza" and they said it was awesome. Everyone left full and happy. Total win with major points for us!“
