“My husband and I stopped yesterday for lunch. The food is good quality, a good quantity at a very reasonable price, and served by very friendly owners. The owners checked several times to see if everything was to our liking and to see if we needed anything. They treat you better then family ?. I wish it was closer to home for us but we will definitely be back the next time we are in Hancock!”

“I order a bushel of #1 jumbo crabs for my family. The staff was friendly and very helpful, even carried them to my car. They were seasoned perfectly! Every crab was heavy and delicious!!! Definitely worth the money!”

“I stopped for a quick lunch, and got the soup of the day and a salad. The salad was very fresh, and very big, I took more than half of it home with me. Cream of Crab soup was the soup of the day, and it was FANTASTIC. The BEST cream of crab soup I have ever had.”

“As previously reviewed this place is a gem. The lot isn't the biggest for semi's but it's very quiet at night. The store and bathrooms are super clean. Do yourself a favor and just drive the extra 20+ miles away from the petro and act fuel stops in Hagerstown, they are clusters and spots fill fast in the afternoon. This will be a regular stop for us wherever we are trucking. If this place had showers and a laundry it would be the ultimate spot in the area. We appreciate this stores cleanliness and friendliest. There's also a small ittle Caesars and IHOP inside, BK is next door.”

They also carry a few daily baked goods (the espresso brownies are my favorite 😋). If you need a last minute gift for a book lover, they also have a couple blind-book-packages with surprise reads inside!”

“Dear Mr. Anonymous, who "escorted" me out the door last night after demanding that I move my truck. I am 77, have two bad legs and knees (5 operations with metal inserts), had never been there before, and saw a car parked next to the building. I parked there, too. There were NO signs indicating the space as a no parking area. Put up a sign so old guys like me will know. I had to drive out to 522 to access Mercer Street, which you have now cut off as "private property". How can that be, when it was an open, two-way street I used for years before you fenced it off? I don't have a cell phone or facebook or any of that other crap that "everyone else" has that magically puts someone in the know: "You're the only one". You may have the best burgers in town - as I have been told - but I'll never know. I'll NEVER return, and hope we never cross paths again. Have a nice day.”

“I've been to Ellen's twice now. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the food is wonderful! The gentleman who hosts, I believe his name is Anthony? He is very friendly and explains the process with a lot of detail. I didn't feel overwhelmed at all despite there being at least 50 different options for tea! Haha.

The only thing I found to be dissatisfying is that the entrance to the tea room you have to walk around grass. There isn't a clear pathways. Those who have mobility issues or wear heels, be aware!”

“100% highly recommend this place. We stopped when we swung through Berkely Springs on our road trip. The food was delicious, some of the best (maybe our favorite ever) sausage gravy we've ever eaten. The coffee was fantastic and the lemonade was delicious. I love that they are people who obviously care about people and their community. That means a lot when I'm spending money at an establishment. They have a donation board for people who are struggling as well as being LGBTQ friendly. Absolutely great place! If I lived in the area they would be a frequent stop for me ❤”
