“I was in DC for a couple of days and after a day of sightseeing, was ready to chill and grab some beers. I'm a huge craft beer fan and saw that Other Half's DC location was pretty close to where I was staying. I've had quite a few of their beers and also been to their brewery in Brooklyn, which was boss. This location was equally good. I ended up getting four beers, two NEIPA's, which were both really good and fresh and also two barrel aged beers, one was great, the other not so much. Service was on point and the guy behind the bar was very friendly and accommodating. It is a large space with outdoor seating and there was a quiz going on while I was there. You can also buy beer to take away too.“
“The restaurant has a very small space and you could definitely feel the close proximity that makes it feel cramped.Despite this, we were seated very effectively and the food was delivered in such a timely manner.The dish options were normal but not overwhelming and the appetizers and entrees were incredibly flavorful. I would say depending on your dish, it may be smaller or larger than you expect.I would advise not taking a car as it probably applies to all of DC, public transit and walking access was amazing and the area did not feel unsafe at the 8pm hour that we ate.Overall, we enjoyed our service, a comfortable authentic Mexican place for visitors!Parking: We saw some parking spots but very difficult to navigate around this area with car.“
“Came for a drink and the bar is pretty cool. I came by myself and the service was fast and friendly. They have beers on tap, all kinds of alcohol and snacks - make sure you are not hungry when you come in. The setting is great, downstairs, large bar, lots of seating. Definitely a fun place to get a drink even on a Sunday night.“

Rocklands met my requirements and whenever that craving hits, we make the drive just to grab some beef ribs, delicious dill potato salad, cheesy Mac n' cheese and of course their jalapeño corn bread! Definitely has grown exponentially since their initial opening. Great local brewery. Parking has been a battle as far as access, but the location is very cute and welcoming.“

“I've been to Midlands twice. First off, props for being a Michigan alum bar - Go Blue! Love the patio and chill vibe - great spot to relax while hanging out and sampling beers, etc. Solid beer selection, per my husband. Today I ordered the Strainge Beast hard kombucha which was awesome. Ginger, lemon, hibiscus. Loved it! We also needed a light midday snack so my husband got the $3 happy hour brat and I ordered hummus/pita. The hummus tasted great and was the perfect consistency. I'd love some veggies in addition to the pita bread, though. The service has been welcoming both times I've come. All in all, Midlands is a terrific neighborhood hangout spot and I'm sure to be back when visiting the area.“

The space had cool vibes but it was a bit hard to find a place to sit, especially since the outside area (we went on a cold and drizzly day so we wanted to stay inside) takes up about half the space.“

“I’ve been wanting to go to Cork for years, and never made it in, so I finally made a reservation for a Friday night and I’m so glad that I did. At first I didn’t even know there was an upstairs section, but we were seated upstairs and it was a very nice atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable and and excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine or have a meal. Our server was very welcoming and clearly knew his stuff. We know a little about wine but not enough to be successful, so we really appreciated the recommendations. I think we could have used a bit more attention during the night but our server was also tending to the bar patrons, so this was neither here nor there. While we did not have dinner the menu, though focused, looked excellent. My one negative comment would be related to the vintners plate (read charcuterie board) which while $24, had nearly nothing on it. However this seems to be the norm in DC these days unfortunately. Overall I would say a very nice experience and definitely would be a repeat visitor.“

“Came in for the first time with my teen, and while the registration process is a bit onerous (long), it's also reasonable considering they're checking dogs for vaccination and that owners are caring for their dogs. After that, I grabbed a beer (12oz port city optimal wit, $9), our pup started socializing with other dogs, and I met some other people's pups too. The staff are very helpful & friendly, the atmosphere is definitely nice with ambient music, and the furnishings are industrial/minimalist- but considering the number of dogs- perfect for the clientele! This Sunday afternoon included about two dozen dogs, from miniature Pomeranians to Great Danes. Almost all were very social (what we were looking for) and the staff were quick to help on any issues or pup exuberant or aggressive play.“
“Check out "The Spot".. there's 6 restaurants inside. It's like a mini Union Market. Mostly Asian or Korean food but they do have a soul food place and a Boba/ smoothie place. There's also a bar in the center. Pool table and plenty of seating. Parking isn't an issue. There are other restaurants near by. I ate at the Korean taco spot and got a rice bowl with bulgogi. Good portion of food, priced well, and very tasty. I like the multi-restaurant buildings. It gives you the opportunity to try different places and have something salty/ savory and sweet.“
“Listennnnnnn, I've had Astro Doughnuts before and they are amazing. But the one in VA is the only one that gives you a doughnut with espresso in it! They cut a hole in the doughnut put Nutella in there and that keeps it from soaking the doughnut.....whoever invited this is a genius. Chicken sandwiches was one of the best I've had in the DMV. The service was fantastic. She informed me on the specials and how the coffee doughnut was made.“

“What an absolute delicious pizza I ordered! I went to participate in a PTA night for work and picked up Pizza Pie Me for dinner. I ordered the Buffalo & bbq chicken pizza and it was absolutely delicious. Service was great! I called before leaving work and it was ready in 15 minutes!“
“Takoda is a great place to pregame or stop by mid day in dc. Lyndsey and Daniel took care of me at the bar and they were amazing. Their bar manager Pete, the head bar tender, came by later on to make sure I was okay with the service which I really appreciated. The atmosphere is great. Yasim the manager also came by to check on me. Nice music and good seating. The beer choices and fired pickles were amazing. If you get the chance, come to Takoda and see Lyndsey for sure.“
“I come to DC frequently, and this place is a MUST! The food and vibe are ok. What keeps me coming back is the bartender, Ben. You'll immediately recognize him. He's the one with long hair, Auburn hat (his only downfall...Roll Tide), and the absolute best southern accent in DC. His conversations, attention to detail, knowing what I want and getting me to try new things that I find I love, and overall down to earth/welcoming persona is what keeps me coming back. “Just happened to drive by Paradiso and decided to stop for a lite meal. Ordered the New Year's 4-Pork Special 12" pizza with pepperoni, salami, sausage, basil, asiago, and mozzarella cheese, minus the prosciutto (cutting down the salt intake) You can taste the spices in the red sauce. The pizza is not overwhelmed with cheese, but the cheese combination is delicious. The crust was lite and crisp. It was piping hot and stayed relatively hot to warm as we enjoyed this deliciously wood-fired pizza, with nothing left but crumbs. We paired it with the Homebrew award winning Paradiso Dunkelweizen beer, a nice Mellow taste. Great for a non-beer connoisseur. Okay, great corner location with free parking lot next door and street parking. Nice decor with plenty of seating inside with full panel glass doors that open to the patio during the hot summer days. Covered patio seating outside in front and side of building. Bar seating inside and outside as well as a heated tent. This location is handicap accessible. Mon-Tues closed. Wed-Thurs 4-9pm and Fri-Sat 1-9pm. Paid $43 for two drinks and pizza. The staff are welcoming. David our server was very attentive.Will return to sample other items on the menu.Parking: The restaurant is located on a corner next to the neighborhood. You can find parking on the street if none is available in the nearby parking lot.“
