“Well I get 3 shrimp and chicken lomeing and it was delicious. And 3 wins with French fries which it was super.
I did try hunan chicken before, but it doesn't pass my taste.
So service was fast less than what ever they said it will be. So I will keep getting different choice and I'll let you know“

“I eat at Panda Chinese Restaurant in Lake Ridge once a week, and it's always a treat! The food is delicious and consistently top-notch. The owner is always friendly and adds a personal touch to the experience. Keep in mind it's takeout only, but that’s never been an issue. It's on the lower level near the elevator. I highly recommended it for anyone in the area!“

“I've ordered from here several times, and while my first delivery experience wasn’t great—it took over an hour—the pick-up service has been outstanding ever since. Their wonton soup, crab rangoon, and General Tso's chicken are my absolute favorites, and they never disappoint. Every time, the food is fresh, hot, and delicious!
I’ll admit, I’m usually a little hesitant about places on Richmond Highway, but this spot is truly a hidden gem. The inside is small and cozy, though it’s a bit dim for my taste. That said, the amazing customer service completely makes up for it. I don’t mind stopping by to pick up my orders because they’re always accurate and ready to go. I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try!“

“Amongst the best egg rolls in the area. While the General Tso's Chicken was good, there was nothing "hot and spicy" about it. Either I'll refry it with some red pepper flakes or try the kung pao chicken next.

“We came here for a private party, and we had a blast at this location. The staff were extremely nice and the service was flawless. They worked together as a great team. The food was also really good. I especially liked their pad thai, the crispy beef, the veggie egg rolls, and their donuts with chocolate topping. This was our first time at this location, but we will be back really soon.

“Best Chinese take out in the area. Nice people, clean, excellent food. Love the Kung Pao Chicken and vegetarian spring rolls.

Vegetarian options: My wife really likes the diet tofu and broccoli with the sauce on the side.

Parking: It's in Hollin Hill strip mall, so plenty of parking.“

“I order lunch from here frequently because it is right next to my office building. They have the best Hot and Sour Soup I've found in the area. Steamed rice is super fluffy and no overcooked. Crab Rangoon is delicious! Delivery is super quick, too. Definitely recommend!

“Carry out dinner , tasty fresh ginger beef, sweet and dour chicken, orange beef, and chicken satay have graced our orders. Always so tasty! :) Agree takes longer than told, and that crispy orange beef is delicious but not necessarily crispy meat, but golly it is so good! Atmosphere fine for take-out. Many yummy dishes. Have not tried the burgers or Thai dishes, I think included so that nearby businesses have great options. Have been there three times, all different entrees and appetizers. . :) 😋“

“Growing up in the area this place has been a treat for our family. Good memories here. Years ago, pre-pandemmy when the dining room was open, I used to go here with my pops on occasion. If you get your chicken hot and fresh it's CRISPY and nothing has ever come close to how good it is. The lady who helps you when you pick up a carry-out order is so sweet. Please tip her!! If you like General Tsos but want to branch out, get the sesame beef. It's my favorite dish. Panda Xpress' crab rangoons do not stand a CHANCE against Golden Star's cheese wontons. Thanks for being a staple of my childhood <3 I'm moving out soon and will miss you!“

“Highly recommend!! Been coming to China House since I moved to Virginia from New York. From all the Chinese food I've tasted here, this is the closest to the New York taste. It's like I'm back home! The food and prices are great!

“I was craving walnut shrimp, and I took a chance on this restaurant. I received something that doesn't resemble the creamy white sauce I was anticipating, but it's not bad. It's actually pretty good, and if I wasn't specifically craving that sweet Americanized white sauce, I wouldn't be bothered and tuck in. “What you receive for the amount spent is definitely 5 stars. I've had my fair share of Chinese take out. Gunston Wok is up at the top. I see some reviews giving this place a bad review based on a bad experience with a specific menu item. This seems unfair. I too have things I avoid here (I'm looking at you, curry dishes). I love Chinese curry, but the curry from here just tasted weird (would not buy again). It is normal for any food establishment to have a menu item you avoid. The few dishes that I frequently get are well made and competitively priced (beef with broccoli, lo mein, hunan shrimp, and a few others). The chef is skilled. Overcooked shrimp is leathery, undercooked tastes raw. The chef gets it right, every time. The taste never changes, so I know what to expect when I make an order. Today, I ordered sweet and sour pork combination platter and replaced the roll/soup option with wonton soup (costs slightly extra). The wonton broth is clear and not too greasy. The wonton dumpling in the soup uses thin dough (tastes better than other places that use thick dough). $11.50 total spend. Worth it. Have I had better Chinese food? Sure. But such places charge $25-$40 per dish. Gunston Wok is superior in satisfaction-to-cost ratio.“

“This is one of our favorite Chinese places in Woodbridge. We've ordered Crispy Sesame Beef, Sesame Chicken, General Tso Chicken, Shrimp With Mixed Vegetables, Chicken Lo Mein, 2 different Chow Mei Fun, egg rolls, spring rolls, crab rangoon, and the dumplings and never been disappointed with any of it. The one thing I was a bit disappointed with was the fried rice. It's not typical fried rice, and I don't like it quite as much. Deliveries always arrive quicker than promised, and the delivery driver has always been nice to us.“

“Wow!! I ordered the Pu Pu platter, Kung Pau Four Seasons, Szechuan String Beans, Fried rice Combo, and Chicken Vegetable Soup. I asked for extra ginger to be added to soup because my wife wasn't feeling well and they made it just perfect! I tried everything when I got hone from pick-up, (only 10 minutes), and everything was absolutely "fresh"! They were polite and paid attention to my order even though they were very busy. “Place seemed Authentic so I gave it a try !! & I’m glad I did !!! I don’t get all these bad reviews with one stars it must’ve been the way they ordered or approached the hard working lady taking their order she took my order as Normally and fast, food was hot and tasted very authentic unlike other places that seem like they microwave their dishes !! Reading past reviews I assume her partner or family member was the one making the food and he did great !!! Definitely will be back !!! Respect and be respected !! I didn’t tip and regret it.
