Just because you have a not so perfect interaction with one employee the establishment does NOT deserve a 1 start review. That’s not how reviews work. “The Qabuli Rice was gently seasoned, without being overwhelming, and studded with moist tender lamb. Equally impressive were the spinach and okra dishes that were fresh, tasty, and well cooked. Along with the side salad [lemony and slightly spicy], these side dishes were competing for my attention for the above reasons and being less greasy than most places. I suggested to the owner that the side vegetables should be made into a combo dish, to which they accommodated my request. Smart decor and amiable service. Their house-made saffron ice-cream is on my next visit list.“

“As soon as my wife and I walked in, we were greeted with a smile. The VIBE is amazing. Steffon then seated us and took our drink orders. I had the Cadillac on 22's (just woke up from nap lol) and my wife loved her drink 🍸 and she normally does not drink alcohol.

“I just stopped by to pick up an online order while on a walk with my new 6 month old puppy.
She's kinda nervous and doesn't like going through doors she's unfamiliar with rn so I was struggling to bring her inside.
I wanted to leave this review to specifically thank the manager (I think his name is Tyler? Tall guy, big beard usually wears the red grumps shirt) who saw that I was struggling and came over to the door, got my name and brought me my order outside. He was so kind and said hi to my dog, pet her and we talked about how he had a few dogs of his own.

Just wanted to shout out what a kind gesture this was and I really appreciated it. Don't know what this guy makes but he should get a raise for sure. I always see him when I'm there taking care of everything and everyone, customers and fellow coworkers alike.“

“Best food on campus, breakfast and lunch. Pre-made breakfast burritos are toasty, warm, and ENORMOUS. Not for the faint of heart (me) unless you want to be sent into a food coma (which I was) and sleep through your afternoon class (worth it). Don't even get me started on the sandwiches at lunch. I get an egg salad sandwich (hummus if they're out of egg salad) on toasted rye with all the fixings -- and I mean ALL of them. You can get a mile-high stacker that's caving in on itself for a single meal swipe here. What do you get at Chick-fil-a? A single piece of chicken on soggy bread. The service here at the Coffee Shop is amazing, too. Workers are super nice and fun to chat with. If you've just finished working out at the RAC, swing in here to cancel out all those calories you burned because you earned it, champ.

We were happy to learn that our purchases of drinks and fresh pastries supported the Franciscan Center Dignity Plates Culinary Training Academy and that the cheerful staff on duty would become certified as a ServSafe Food Manager after completing the 13-week course. Starting the day with a breakfast sandwich from the Merriweather Cafe & Deli would sustain me the entire day sometimes, and the staff there are very friendly, which also adds to starting off the day nicely. I hadn't been there in a while and was glad to see they are still open. NOTE: There is no big sign on the building. There is a glass door on the first floor (by the main upper parking lot entrance) and just has a sign saying Merriweather Deli and their hours. Enjoy!

Parking: Parking in the garage is the considerate thing to do versus parking along the side of the courtyard. It isn't that much farther, and if you drive electric there are Chargepoint EV chargers there.“
