“Stayed at a local hotel and ordered from Door Dash. SECRET SPICY CHICKEN was great. Pretty much like General Tso's Chinese but a tad spicier. Large pieces of good quality chicken, even the medium order was too much for me. Pair it with steamed white rice, put the rice in the sauce. Very good.“

What we didn’t know is that we would meet Paul, who took care of us and “tour us around” their menu and options. The food was delicious and healthy as well! Artichokes, hummus, cauliflower and the chicken were amazing! My brother is vegetarian so they prepared a pad thai for him and he really enjoyed it. After dinner, was time to look everybody dancing on the floor… With the perfect atmosphere! I wish I could post some pictures!! “Wine market, bar, small plates joint in a good location. Stopped in for a flight and light bite on a Saturday night. The downstairs bar/market was packed, lots of energy, and buzzing. We were upstairs because we had a reservation. Decidedly quieter up there only a couple of other folks dining, the back room had a large party (15) cozy with lighting in the right place. We started with a flight and narrowed in on Pomerol by the glass. The Somm was friendly, knowledgeable, and made a good suggestion for our final glass, a Cahors. A licorice-bomb that we really liked. On the food side, we were very basic, fries with homemade ketchup; French onion soup, with cheddar and a nice bread on the side; and roasted/fried cauliflower with yogurt, pine nuts, and pickled raisins, which was a little overdone. We didn't venture much further on the food menu, but we were really here for the wine anyway. On our way out, we perused the markets but weren't able to find that Cahors in a bottle server/somm. sensing our dilemma, procured a bottle for us from the back. Nice experience, I'd explore more by the glass options here and they have some interesting finds in the wine market.“

Highly recommend the dancing Molly oysters as an appetizer. The restaurant is absolutely a beautiful place. The food is innovative, creative, and most importantly delicious. Portion size is perfect and accurate and you will not leave hungry. Every single dish was amazingly unique, It was an absolute amazing experience. The servers did an excellent job explaining each course in detail. The presentation was impeccable. the flavors were unmistakably and deliciously Tex-Mex.“

“Went for happy hour. Appetizers were really good. Truffle fries were on point! Hot, fresh, delicious! I had shrimp taco which was good. It was $7 for 2 taco.
Nice beer selection. I love IPA, they had several to choose from.
The only caveat I had was at 7pm they started trivia. Trivia wasn't the issue, the issue was the person on the mic was extremely loud. We weren't playing trivia, we were more interested in talking to each other. The loudness was too much. We left and went down the street.“

Kid-friendliness: They have kids sliders and chicken tenders, just not seen on the main menu I think. They’re always great to our kids. And kids generally love rock music, which is what goes on here. Go before 8-ish, I think bands play after 9 or so.“

Wow yall got the Mac n Cheese right, it was on point. jerk wings flavorful with kick rice and peas was perfection. Good portion for the price can’t lie, found my new Jamaican Spot and I’m grateful it’s minutes away. I don’t leave reviews but the meal was that good can’t wait to try the Curry. Bravo 👏🏿“

“I've been attending Emissary x Pergamino (on 20th St) for nearly 6 years, including moves in and out of town, visits back, and finally resettling nearby. Across that time, and a range of baristas, the espresso, food, and atmosphere have remained consistently great. It is a cozy space to work or meet, and the staff is always friendly and effective. It's a great asset to the neighborhood.“
