“I have not only travelled to Thailand, but studied Thai cuisine and also attended cooking classes. This place is the REAL DEAL!!!! Not your run of the mill pad thai place. More northern cuisine if you are familiar with it, think Chang Mai. Everything is out of this world, great bar and drinks, friendly and warm staff that attends to your every need.“
“Bistro Cacao was an outstanding choice to cater lunch for a very important business meeting. The food was AMAZING, from appetizers, salad, main course and dessert! Highly recommend them for your next event, meeting or just a fine place to dine!! Great Service, Great Food, Great Presentation!“
“Great European pub atmosphere! The two story place is hidden at the end of an alley. The food is quite good, the Belgium beer selection is quite outstanding, service is friendly, and the warm atmosphere is perfect for a late bite (it is open until 2pm).“
“I was in DC for a couple of days and after a day of sightseeing, was ready to chill and grab some beers. I'm a huge craft beer fan and saw that Other Half's DC location was pretty close to where I was staying. I've had quite a few of their beers and also been to their brewery in Brooklyn, which was boss. This location was equally good. I ended up getting four beers, two NEIPA's, which were both really good and fresh and also two barrel aged beers, one was great, the other not so much. Service was on point and the guy behind the bar was very friendly and accommodating. It is a large space with outdoor seating and there was a quiz going on while I was there. You can also buy beer to take away too.“
“My friend and I were visiting DC and were craving tacos. We stumbled upon this place and we are so glad we did. To start, the complimentary tortilla chips -- to die for! They were perfectly crunchy, flavorful, and unlike any chip we had eaten before. I could go on about the chips alone! We ordered the nacho's appetizers -- perfect! And we each had 3 tacos. They were exquisite. We were impressed by the service and warm hospitality of the employees. It was also a nice warm setting for 2 friends to bond over some good authentic Mexican cuisine. We would highly recommend this place!“
“This place is amazing!! I knew it would be great when I saw the stairs leading down to the basement, and it did not disappoint. ? 14 taps of local beer! Felix the bartender was so friendly and knowledgeable, and even the security guy was awesome. The staff is so friendly, I'm definitely coming back here again, maybe even tomorrow night!“
“I enjoyed it! Popped into it after work. I even sparked up a convo with the guys at the bar (which I never do), so def a cozy spot for sure. Music wasn't terrible either. I got big portion of brussels sprouts, tater tots and root beer ? @“
“The food was good, and so were the drinks. The servers were all very nice and personable, though it could be hard to get their attention. The space had cool vibes but it was a bit hard to find a place to sit, especially since the outside area (we went on a cold and drizzly day so we wanted to stay inside) takes up about half the space.“
“I enjoyed my meal at Hanabi. I went with a co-worker for lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great. We got everything in a timely manner. I decided to get the shrimp tempura as an appetizer and for my main meal, I decided on the chicken katsu. Everything was delicious. I would definitely visit again when in the area!“
“Really delicious, cat-themed restaurant with the same vibe as its counterpart, Lost Dog Cafe. My burger was juicy and flavorful and the cocktails were spectacular — pricey — but super fresh and creative.Vegetarian options: All burgers come with a vegetarian option and most of the other sandwiches are riffs on a grilled cheese.Parking: There is a small parking lot out front, but the spaces are a bit tight.“
“We were visiting the DC area and looking for a good place to get barbecue and saw Rocklands online and thought we would give it a try. So glad we did their barbeque chicken was really good. The pulled pork was also great. We had the Mac n cheese and baked beans both were also very good. It's by far the best barbecue restaurant I've found in the area. The staff were so friendly and kept asking if we needed anything else. We will definitely come back every time we are in the area it's well worth going a little out of the way to get something so good.“
“What a great place and even better customer service from Linda. So knowledgeable and friendly. She offered suggestions and helped me decide. The wines are tasty. We're been coming to Olney for years now and really love the new location. The brick oven pizza is delicious, way to go chef Tim! I highly recommend a visit.“
“We had the best time bringing a huge party here. The pizza was awesome, and my kids LOVED the fries. But actually the best part was the service and staff. It was A LOT to feed our crew and everyone did it with a smile and kindness. Go here and support this great place!“
“We came from out of state (NC) and just happened to Google bars around and this popped up. Hands down the best time we had. Luke, the bartender, was funny and amazing. We ended up going back the next day just to see him before we left town. Definitely will be back!“
“This place is outstanding! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, reasonable price, incredible beer selection! The bar tender was very knowledgeable and helps us pick out what we loved. We had salads and pizza. Very fresh ingredients. And we got to help some lucky local dogs and cats. A win!“
“This place has filled a void left by Carpool (I know it's back, at least in Virginia Square). One big difference between the two is the food. The pizza is great and I really like the steak and cheese. It has a nice amount of games, but not so many that it feels gimmicki. I feel like beers are pricey, but that is pretty much everywhere these days.“
“What a crazy odd gem of a place this is. I was on business and had really not been impressed by the DC food scene at all. Ended up here because the place I was going to wasnt open yet and I figured I could blow off some time and have a couple of beers. This place is almost all black inside and is setup to handle a lot of live rock bands. Looked at the menu and its really weird for a rock band bar and I figured no big deal - beers will be good. Telling the bartender about my trip and disappointment when the owner comes out. Would never tell this guy was the owner by the mohawk punk rock look he had but he and the staff are super cool and laid back people. He says let me order you something to try. Out come dishes.Lemongrass beef - thought for sure this would be chewy hard overcooked griddled sirloin steak. Imagine my surprise - super tender, super flavorful sweet sour salty Asian grilled seared steak what I think is a cut similar to flank steak.Next the pretzel sticks with queso - these arent normal pretzel sticks - they have an outside look like pretzels and have a crunch but are soft and a touch of sweetness with almost a donut chew to them coated in a fine salt pepper maybe garlic? powder seasoning. I am a bit of a foodie snob and can cook about anything and have no idea how to replicate because its just a pretzel right? But its NOT JUST a pretzel - soo good.Lamb chops - coated in what I think is a cinnamon cardamon crust grilled to perfection. Incredible grilled tender lambchops. This place is every bit a high end restaurant in a rock bar vibe. This is not the place to get all dressed up for fine dinning - its the place to take a date, eat crazy amazing food and rock out. If the marketing manager sees this - SEND ME THE PRETZEL RECIPE!!!“
“Uncorked is my go-to spot for wine shopping. With its extensive selection of varieties and reasonable prices, it's a win-win. The Friday wine tastings are a fantastic bonus; just give them a call to confirm. Patrick, possibly the manager, is a gem - knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready with perfect wine suggestions tailored to my preferences. The ambience is casual, welcoming and friendly. You can get small bites or drink wine in the store at the bar or tables nearby. They also have events like trivia and live music. Uncorked is more than just a wine store; it's a treasure trove of wine wisdom. Whether I'm stocking up on bottles or expanding my palate at tastings, Uncorked never disappoints. Highly recommend for both novices and connoisseurs alike.“
“This was my second time here. Bartenders are friendly and polite. I dig the atmosphere. They open late in the afternoon and have a large outdoor space with heaters, couches, tables and a smoking section as well as outlets, which was perfect for me on my laptop for a few hours. The nacho portion was larger than I expected which was awesome! With a perfect amount of toppings spread on- they did not skimp. Bathrooms are clean and I felt super comfortable hanging alone for several hours. Not sure if there is better parking near by but I took my chances parallel parking by Hook Hall.“
“This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! The food was delicious and the service was great. The waiter was super nice and attentive. We had the soy garlic and Gangnam Style wings. The wings were really crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and both flavors were amazing.“
“From the moment I stepped into DC Corazon, I knew I was in for a treat. Nestled in the vibrant Petworth neighborhood, this Mexican restaurant is a true culinary gem. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it an ideal spot for both romantic dinners and fun gatherings with friends. The menu, oh the menu! It's a delightful journey through authentic Mexican flavors. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and authenticity. The tacos are a must-try – they're packed with flavor and the tortillas are clearly homemade. And don't get me started on the nachos. Talk. About. Yum.Service at DC Corazon is top-notch. Especially J.R. and Edgar. The staff are not only friendly but also passionate about their cuisine, eager to share recommendations and insights about the dishes. Their warm and welcoming attitude adds to the overall delightful experience. Music is hype and fits the energy perfectly. 10/10 would recommend, bruh!“
“First time here tonight. Our group of three had the cod tacos, steak wedge salad and Cubano sandwich and all was delicious. Our server was Shauna and she did a great job for us - listened well and made good recommendations for us - very personable and very good at her job. It was a little loud due to being crowded so a little hard to hear - otherwise nearly perfect experience. Would definitely go back!“
“Just happened to drive by Paradiso and decided to stop for a lite meal. Ordered the New Year's 4-Pork Special 12" pizza with pepperoni, salami, sausage, basil, asiago, and mozzarella cheese, minus the prosciutto (cutting down the salt intake) You can taste the spices in the red sauce. The pizza is not overwhelmed with cheese, but the cheese combination is delicious. The crust was lite and crisp. It was piping hot and stayed relatively hot to warm as we enjoyed this deliciously wood-fired pizza, with nothing left but crumbs. We paired it with the Homebrew award winning Paradiso Dunkelweizen beer, a nice Mellow taste. Great for a non-beer connoisseur. Okay, great corner location with free parking lot next door and street parking. Nice decor with plenty of seating inside with full panel glass doors that open to the patio during the hot summer days. Covered patio seating outside in front and side of building. Bar seating inside and outside as well as a heated tent. This location is handicap accessible. Mon-Tues closed. Wed-Thurs 4-9pm and Fri-Sat 1-9pm. Paid $43 for two drinks and pizza. The staff are welcoming. David our server was very attentive. Will return to sample other items on the menu.Parking: The restaurant is located on a corner next to the neighborhood. You can find parking on the street if none is available in the nearby parking lot.“
“I have walked past this place dozens of times, and for whatever reason never gone in. I'm glad I finally rectified that and wandered in. The empanadas are amazing - crisp yet chewy dough, and stuffed with fillings. Each order comes with a dip that's well spiced but not spicy. The chorizo sandwich is also good, a croissant with sliced sausage and cheeses. The drinks are straightforward and good, I recommend the fernet and coke. Each table has games on it, I haven't played jenga, connect four, or rock em sock em robots in years and it was a great time. Really fun ambience and music, the staff are fun. Overall a really enjoyable, informal stopover.“
“I’ve been wanting to go to Cork for years, and never made it in, so I finally made a reservation for a Friday night and I’m so glad that I did. At first I didn’t even know there was an upstairs section, but we were seated upstairs and it was a very nice atmosphere. Cozy and comfortable and and excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine or have a meal. Our server was very welcoming and clearly knew his stuff. We know a little about wine but not enough to be successful, so we really appreciated the recommendations. I think we could have used a bit more attention during the night but our server was also tending to the bar patrons, so this was neither here nor there. While we did not have dinner the menu, though focused, looked excellent. My one negative comment would be related to the vintners plate (read charcuterie board) which while $24, had nearly nothing on it. However this seems to be the norm in DC these days unfortunately. Overall I would say a very nice experience and definitely would be a repeat visitor.“
“i was able to order so much delicious and filling food for a really good price. the customer service was beautiful and the atmosphere is gorgeous although empty because there werent many people. i will 100% be coming back and ordering again !!! the food is phenomenal and i had enough for leftovers !! im left feeling full and sleepy, its that type of food :)“
“Takoda is a great place to pregame or stop by mid day in dc. Lyndsey and Daniel took care of me at the bar and they were amazing. Their bar manager Pete, the head bar tender, came by later on to make sure I was okay with the service which I really appreciated. The atmosphere is great. Yasim the manager also came by to check on me. Nice music and good seating. The beer choices and fired pickles were amazing. If you get the chance, come to Takoda and see Lyndsey for sure.“
“WOB is, hands-down, the best place for Happy Hour in Bethesda! They always have a large selection of delicious, new and local beers on tap, and also boast a tasty and creative cocktail menu. Each time I visit, I find my new favorite drink!Their high-end pub food is absolutely delicious and pairs perfectly with their beer - highly recommend the German pretzel, Mac and cheese balls and the shrimp street tacos! They even have an equally delicious gluten-free menu. But what really sets this location apart is exceptional customer service. The manager, Brian, and his whole team went above and beyond to accommodate our company's last minute request for a 50-person holiday party, and everything turned out wonderful! Food and drinks were delicious, atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the staff couldn't have been kinder and more attentive. This is a team who obviously cares about and enjoys what they do. Can't wait to come back again soon!Dietary restrictions: They have a new gluten-free menu which is delicious and obviously created with care.“
“I come to DC frequently, and this place is a MUST! The food and vibe are ok. What keeps me coming back is the bartender, Ben. You'll immediately recognize him. He's the one with long hair, Auburn hat (his only downfall...Roll Tide), and the absolute best southern accent in DC. His conversations, attention to detail, knowing what I want and getting me to try new things that I find I love, and overall down to earth/welcoming persona is what keeps me coming back. It's a pleasant surprise to find courteous staff in DC. Thanks, Ben! See ya again in January!“
“All I can say is that the food was so delicious. I enjoy every bite of it. I got the Brown Stew Snapper with the yellow rice and greens. Let me tell you, that "Soursop" Juice is fantastic. Please try it. I will be back for more. It's a 5 Star for me. Peace & Blessing.“
“Really delicious food with high quality ingredients. One of the best Ruben’s. If you haven’t tried this place in the last few months you should - same name but completely new owners that gave this place/food an overhaul. Also allows pups!“
“If you are looking for a great place in DC for artisanal pizza and great craft beer selection, Georgetown is it! William and Monica both executive servers work hard to make your dining experience better by being attentive to making you feel welcomed.“
“Very bright, warm, friendly location. Drink offerings are varied and refreshing. The staff are always responsive and even offers firepit in the winter. Definitely has grown exponentially since their initial opening. Great local brewery. Parking has been a battle as far as access, but the location is very cute and welcoming.“
