“Had dinner before the Oh He Dead concert on Saturday December 17, 2022. We arrived a little before our seating and immediately were greeted and taken to our spots. Ian was outstanding! He was attentive, descriptive and helped create a good experience. Dan, our bartender, was magnificent. He created delectable cocktails and we also chatted along the way (we had bar seats which I highly recommend). This was very reasonably priced, we left very filled and happy. I want to give the highest possible compliments to Ian and Dan. The entire experience was perfect, largely because of the great food, but they took the experience well beyond a 1 star evening!“

“Loved dining at Nina May’s for Easter Brunch! Made the reservation quite last minute but we were still able to snag a table for two at one of D.C’s best restaurants! We were also late on our res. due to easter traffic and finding parking around the place but the host was very accommodating and nice. We got the chef’s choice and everything was amazing! Super fresh and the flavors all worked really well together. I also got the cucumber mocktail which was really good! Our server was attentive and really went the extra mile to fix a small mishap (we got to try the amazing carrot cake, on the house!!! it was splendid!!!!). Will definitely be back since they have a seasonal menuParking: Parking is quite limited as most of the streets surrounding this restaurant are restricted/limited to zone/permit holders which seems to be a theme in D.C. Be aware and plan to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier so you have time to look without getting late. Though a host did mention there is a grocery store nearby that you could park at though!“

He did all he could to make the night special for us. All of the staff shared personal stories and tidbits of information throughout the night.Everything was meticulously crafted, plated, and presented to us with pride, joy, and love. The tiniest details made the largest impact on creating an overall completeness to each dish.It was breathtaking, palate pleasing, borderline overfilling, and will be a lasting memory and true highlight of our trip.If you are debating visiting this location, do it. “As a Texan visiting Succotash in DC, I was pleasantly surprised by the Southern charm infused into every aspect of the dining experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance transported me back to my hometown with its rustic decor and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of Southern classics with a modern twist, showcasing the chef's creativity while staying true to traditional flavors. I couldn't resist starting with the fried green tomatoes, a staple back home, and they did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, tangy and flavorful on the inside – just like Mama used to make. For my main course, I opted for the shrimp and grits, a dish I consider a true test of Southern authenticity. Succotash passed with flying colors. The shrimp were plump and succulent, perfectly complemented by the creamy grits and smoky bacon. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that reminded me of lazy Sunday mornings on the porch back in Texas. To top it all off, I indulged in a slice of pecan pie that rivaled any I've had before. The buttery crust, the rich filling, and the crunchy pecans combined to create a dessert worthy of a Southern grandmother's approval.Overall, my experience at Succotash was nothing short of fantastic. The food, the atmosphere, and the service all exceeded my expectations, making me feel right at home despite being miles away from the Lone Star State. If you're craving authentic Southern cuisine in the heart of DC, look no further than Succotash. Y'all won't be disappointed.“

There wasn't a bad choice in the bunch. Highly recommend this for an elegant night out. All in we were at 150 per person (and that was with plenty of wine). “Got take out dinner twice now, was afraid I’d regret not getting the almond rainbow trout again, but the pumpkin ravioli was equally delicious and now I’ll be thinking of both dishes after I leave this city. The rainbow trout and pumpkin ravioli were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor, but they also added a dipping sauce that I now want for ALL fish going forward. My family ate Circa burgers and said it was good. The tuna poke nacho appetizer was just alright, because I don’t care for the nacho chips. I’d eat the poke with steamed rice though, or as poke tacos. I will recommend Circa to anyone I know traveling to DC. And I do have one more night here so I might go back yet again…prices not bad.“

“Ok. Hear me out. Who goes out to eat for a salad? I mean with so many things on the menu, why would you? Because... The Ted Cobb is that delicious. I've had it twice in a week. I can't believe that I've waited so long to try this place, but I'll definitely be back... Oh, and the chocolate peanut butter creme pies are simply wonderful. My husband likes his chilled. I like them at room temperature. However, I digressed. Go, enjoy the amazing service team, the amazing management team, and the great food.“

“The food was amazing especially at the price point and I went back twice on Super Bowl Sunday -- which was also my first time ordering from here. I ordered the OG Nashville Hot and the Honey Butter sandwich. Both would absolutely out of this world. The chicken is fresh and not too heavily breaded but crispy and warm and the spice is fantastic. Could absolutely eat it daily.“

“The food is always good. I’ve been on a lamb burger kick lately. There are good options for brunch or dinner. There’s also events some evenings. I attended an open mic night for poetry a while back and it was great! So much talent in the space and encouraging of emerging and established artist alikeWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is fairly accessible. There are double front doors and no button to open them so it may be difficult for electric chairs and larger chairs. The back event space can be cramped but I was able to be seated comfortably. Though I could see if being tricky trying to leave for a bathroom break once folks pack in. There are stairs to access the stage so that would be a big barrier for open mic nights“

“We popped in to the Hawk n Dove after a busy morning touring the Capitol Building. We were greeted at the door in a reasonable amount of time. It looked like the restaurant was full, but they were able to get us a table near the kitchen - which is always fun since you can watch the buzz of the kitchen and wait staff hustling out all of the food orders. There is a lot going on here - busy bar, sports, news and trivia televised on screens above the bar. Witty T-shirts and memorabilia hanging on the walls. Generous portions, and upscale healthy food options in addition to the normal pub grub. We noticed that other tables had opted for salads and flatbreads so we did too. The personal sized flatbread was the perfect amount for one person. Nice combination of toppings and a warm soft crust. Salads were perfectly seasoned and dressed. Everyone in my party was happy with their lunches. Definitely would recommend.“

“The food was great - we made a reservation and we were seated immediately. We ordered coffees and one came out relatively quickly, but the other two coffees didn't come out until we were seated for 30 minutes and already had our food - our server got the order wrong and informed us they had not only run out of pint glasses but they had run out of oatmilk (she brought one with whole milk in it). Wouldn't have been a big deal but we barely saw her prior to this so it was a little frustrating.“

“It was our first out of 2 nights in DC and I wanted to have high-quality, memorable, delicious food and that's what The Duck & the Peach provided! The ambiance felt artsy and people were dressed casually but the food was fancy and expensive. My partner and I got the duck feast and everything was tasty, particularly the duck. We are duck lovers who eat duck a lot especially from Chinese restaurants and this duck was so tender and the skin was crispy the way I like it. We also had the mint ice cream bar for dessert which was super unique, almost savory and wrapped in an edible covering but I couldn't place what the covering was made out of (maybe white chocolate)? It was an expensive meal but we also took home left overs and we would come here again!“
