“Tried lunch at their Timonium location. Was a little difficult to find. Closer to come in off of Padonia Rd instead of York Rd. It is in the race. track upper deck. The restaurant is a decent size but was extremely cold inside. You can watch races on the multiple tvs and even gamble, if you like.
The wait time was nonexistent. We are immediately seated . A waitress appeared. Ordered an iced tea, garden salad and a Seafood Chesapeake sandwich ( which consisted of a crab cake and shrimp salad on wheat bread). Food came quickly. Everything was tasty. Crab cake was a little soft for broiled for my liking. Shrimp salad was average.
Would try this restaurant again during warmer weather.“

The wait time, however, was a bit too long, highlighting the need for more staff; having at least three servers would alleviate the workload from one person. “I had a seafood boil delivered from Gnam Gnam last night and everything was amazing ! I got the shrimp, Dungeness crab, Maryland crab and it came with sausage, potatoes and corn. The masala sauce was delicious and the bag was so filling it was enough for at least 4 ppl to share. The price was so good I couldn’t believe we got so much food. Also I can tell from putting my order in that the owner/chef was very customer oriented. He added supplies that made clean up very simple. I will definitely be ordering from here again.“

“I have ordered 3 times since leaving Maryland to live in Utah! the crabs have arrived on time and in great condition. In a half bushel there were 2 not good. That is less than happened when I bought half bushels in Maryland. I ordered med-lg and was satisfied with the size and weight of the crabs. I have recommended Maryland Blue Crab Express to many people who miss Maryland Blue Crabs and they to have been very pleased with the service and quality of the crabs! Thank you MBCE!“

“This is important! Come in the morning at least 2 hours early because Baltimore traffic is bad! Follow this route. Take exit 52 off of I-95 to Russell St. Turn left at Hamburg but make an immediate U-turn to the Russell Street Service Road. The service road T's at W Ostend St, turn right. Follow Ostend to S Paca St, turn right. Halperns is 2 blocks on the right. They only have ONE DOCK so if you got there early you'll be able to find parking. The early bird gets the worm! 😁“

“An unexpected gem in an unexpected location. This place, hands down, has the best crab cakes in Baltimore! You'd be hard-pressed to find a better one.Inside of an Amish Dutch Market, their location is well done. The staff is super knowledgeable and very friendly. The seafood here is always fresh. Their hot serve foods are insanely delicious!! I have tried just about all of it over the last few years & have never been disappointed. Stuffed Salmon, steamed shrimp, crabcakes, steamed crabs, shrimp cakes, stuffed shrimp, potato salad, corn on the cob, MD Crab soup, cream of crab soup... the list goes on.If you are in the area, heck if you're anywhere remotely close to this area, you have to make this one of your must-stop stops. The owner has her own garden on site and uses the fresh herbs from it to make your taste buds dance with joy! Their extensive menu is sure to have just what you are craving. “It had been a while since I visited and some things have changed, not all for the better. There's a robot server that brings plates from the kitchen and the novelty wore off quickly. The robot's return button is too far away and requires you lean out a bit far. The voice sounds like a very young little girl and grated on my nerves after it said "I'm going back now" for the third time. The service provided by the biologicals bringing drinks, picking up dishes, etc. was not diminished, although not having ingredient placed on the table was sorely missed. Payment is now via a portable card reader at the table, I don't care for having someone stand there and wait for you to choose a tip and sign the receipt. It's unpleasant having someone watch while you feel compelled to rush so you don't take time away from other customers. The food just seemed off that night, my tomato broth and my wife's mushroom broth both seemed off and lacking of the flavor we remember, also just remembered also we were never asked if we wanted more broth. Seems we'd have to ask for that via the tablet in lieu of a server. Broccoli and corn seemed fine, while the fish, shrimp, squid, firm tofu, and lobster balls seemed to be of lesser quality of poorer taste. The app on the tablet used to order has been changed. Several items, mostly refills, lack proper icons. I'm accustomed to using the images to make quick choices and the app seems less convenient now. Once you start ordering the items appear in a pane that opens on the right, taking away from the area used to display options. I prefer having my order being a separate tab. The list of available items is now a single scrolled list, with the buttons on the left being shortcuts.“

No one seasons like you guys! Original post: So I have been getting crabs from here for almost 20 years now. Each year I am awaiting the opening. When I heard last year that management would be changing I was nervous that my crab go-to would be no more. Last year went well - no change. But I got some for the first time this year a few weeks ago and I was disappointed. The seasoning was the same but I found a big variety in the size and weight of my crabs. This NEVER happened before and I always felt I got my monies worth. I will definitely give it another shot since I’ve been coming for so long - but I really hope that every crab in my order matches what I ordered .... we got xlarge and there were definitely a few that were closer to medium size and they were not all heavy! Nicks motto was we don’t sell junk - all crabs are heavy! Please let’s stay with that!!!!“
