“Waffles were light and fluffy with a nice crisp on the outside, making them great an worth returning for again. The eggs and bacon were also great.Parking: Several stores are in the same area and can become a little cramped at times.Wheelchair accessibility: Curb access“
“Unconventional Diner my go-to brunch spot in DC! The blueberry mascarpone pancake was a delightful burst of flavor, and the grits were creamy perfection. Can't forget the French deep poutine, a savory indulgence that always hit the spot. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique and satisfying brunch experience!“
“The food was fantastic! The service was fantasticOverall a fantastic experience. We had a awesome time dining with Rose's the staff was very nice and very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. We also received various items that we off the menu that were excellent. And they gave us a treat to take home. I would definitely recommend Roses, P&P, and Little Pearl. Trust me, they won't let you down.“
“Amazing service, food, presentation, libations, decor, comfort, on and on. From 1st picture my welcome cocktail all the way to final cocktail and wine in between 2nd picture to 1st course caviar bigger purse with no silverware 3rd picture to 2nd to last course truffle ice cream with all the toppings, including caviar My words don’t do this dining event Justice. Oh, and when I got back to the hotel, I found an incredible burger in a box that I carried back to the hotel without opening. That was breakfast! Will be back.“
“Absolutely welcome place for dinner with kids. The steak was the best! This place where you want to come back again and again!Parking: Across the street free parking, but it is difficult to find a slot daytime.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely welcome kids! I was with 3 kids. And everyone could choose what he wanted, not spicy food. The steak was very soft and the kids loved it!“
“EJ was incredibly nice and helpful, all the drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Dan was exceptionally polite and crafted excellent drinks. Despite our large group, we were served in a timely manner and with great attention, had an amazing night!“
“The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the drinks were amazing. We did the 3 course dinning option and it was worth every penny. I will def be back to try more food options and enjoy the balcony when the weather is warmer. The space is very mature and sexy.“
“For starters, Hank's has always been a great go to restaurant for seafood in the DC area, especially oysters. Last night I found myself having to find a location for a late dinner for an out of town guest after 9p. To my surprise I found the location at The Wharf was open until 11p which worked great time wise. After getting there at 9:30 (and parking in the underground parking which was super convenient), my party of 2 was seated right away. I enjoyed the margarita of the day which I think was mango and strawberry (don't remember) but it was great! Then had the popcorn shrimp and calamari and the hog island style BBQ oysters for starters. These were all very delicious especially the popcorn shrimp and calamari which were delivered hot and fresh. I also had a half dozen of their proprietary salty Wolfe oysters from the Chesapeake which were a nice size and the salty brine was divine.I wanted to try so many other starters but didn't want to get too full that I wouldn't have space to eat my entree. There were a lot of great options for entrees to select from. The seafood fettuccine grabbed my attention the most but I was not sure because it had scallops in it. To my delight my waiter, Brandon, said that I can have it removed. The fettucine was so tasty and creamy and the shrimp was so huge, almost a two biter (probably, but I'm greedy lol). Great job on the recommendation and service Brandon! My only two complaints are: 1) this location does not serve desserts (due to kitchen size I believe) but I was treated to some chunks of chocolate as a treat and 2) the parking was really expensive ($29 for a couple of hours) which is no fault to the restaurant as it shares the garage with all the other venues and amenities at The Wharf. Definitely will be back!“
“The entire experience was amazing - it was like front row seats at the theater but even better because of the interactivity. The chefs were talented and fun, the environment was comfortable and intimate, the food was inventive and delicious, the presentation was artistic, and the service was impeccable. Thank you for such a memorable evening!“
“Eubin took excellent care of my husband and I on our visit to barmini. It was our first visit (of many more to come) and every single cocktail was mind blowing. I had originally booked a flight, only to have to change it to a la carte in order to make dinner reservations. I wish we had cancelled dinner and stayed at barmini! I cannot find enough positive words to describe this experience. Worth every single cent and more. A must visit! We will be back! (And sit at the bar. The show of every cocktail being prepared truly adds to the experience!) the cake for my birthday was a spectacular gesture as well!“
“Absolutely amazing experience! I almost never write reviews, but this place was so incredible that I had to this time.We went on a Friday night and did the 7-course tasting menu and drink pairing at the chef's counter. I'm sure it's not part of the experience every time, but it actually turned into about a 9-course tasting because they served some extras not on the menu that they were excited to share. Every aspect was incredible.Starting off, before we even arrived, with personalized contact from Brian to ensure that they knew everything from our names, if it was special occasion, dietary restrictions, etc. It was clear they wanted to make sure it was a special experience for us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant. On arrival the environment was incredible and the whole staff was friendly and consistently went out of their way to make the evening memorable. The food was, of course, incredible. But even more enjoyable was the detailed explanation of both the food we were being served and the wine choices for pairing. We learned a lot about how they prepared the food, where the ingredients were locally sourced from, etc. Not only was it informative, but their true passion for the quality of what they were serving really shined through.Just as top notch as the food, the service was incredible. They were true professionals that knew exactly how to strike the balance between being highly attentive without interfering with our date. The pacing of the servings was absolutely spot on. We neither had to wait between courses nor had courses stacking up. Everything was executed flawlessly.Hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. Great food, great environment, and absolutely exceptional service. We will be back for sure and will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience. Extremely well done!“
“Bronze is an amazing restaurant. Chef Keem and his staff are professional, serve amazing dishes and have a great vibe. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and the ambiance is amazing. I've been here several times and recommend everyone to visit.“
“This a good place for a bite in the morning or a relaxing dinner in the evening. The menu is okay but could use some better dining options. For breakfast, stick with the basics, trying to over create a simple meal takes away from the meal. The pancakes do need some work though, not sure it they are trying to use gluten free flour but the pancakes just aren’t right. The dinner menu is good but could use some more variety. I do recommend a stop in and enjoy a good meal (just stay away from the pancakes)“
“Was a great experience. Had travel issue getting there and was a little late, but they did their best to work with me within their policy. The food was amazing and Belinda's service was great. The restaurant lived up to the talk about it. Will be back.“
“Today, we were incredibly fortunate to visit a unique restaurant, Monocle, located on Capitol Hill. We initially chose it due to its proximity to our hotel, but it turned out to be a true "Washingtonian gem." Opened in 1960, this restaurant has been operated by the same family ever since. The menu is concise, which we believe highlights the culinary excellence presented in merely five dishes. We were in search of "authentic American steaks from real American beef from real American cows." What we received far exceeded our expectations. Both steaks we ordered were exquisitely prepared to perfection. We both agreed that these were the best steaks we've ever had the pleasure of eating in our lives. #MasterpieceAs if the meal itself wasn't enough, our server, Marinos Apostolopoulos, provided us with a genuine journey through the history of this establishment. We are deeply grateful!Given its location near the Capitol, the restaurant has been visited by at least half of American politicians over the last 60 years, including Presidents Nixon, Kennedy, Bush, and Clinton. Celebrities like Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, among other incredible individuals, have also frequented this place. The number of VIPs and their dedications displayed in their own photos hanging on every wall is truly astonishing. One of the servers celebrated his 50th work anniversary here two months ago with a surprise party for 250 people, an event that was featured on the front page of the Washington Post, which we had the opportunity to read. The place is beautiful, with incredibly friendly service and excellent food. The wonderful experiences we had will stay with us forever. It's worth traveling for moments like these. We highly recommend it and would love to return someday.“
“I showed up last Sunday to watch the Commanders play the Giants and had a great time at this bar. I got the Sunday football special, which let me choose between 2 food options and a drink. I wound up getting the old bay wings, hot mess tots, and a surf side tea, all of which was pretty good, especially getting all that for $14! It’s definitely a great vibe for football Sunday, and I’m thinking about coming here more often during the week as well!“
“The vybe was chill. Bartenders were nice. Ordered the pot pie... chicken was dryyyy but the flavour of the "pot pie" was wonderful. Suggest brining the chicken in milk/milk substitute for a few hours to make sure chicken is tender/soft...“
“Delicious! The portions were very large. I could of had another meal to take home. Everyone around me also got To Go boxes. Everything tasted very fresh. The chickpeas in the hummus were dried which was something I never had before and thought it added a really nice texture. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Pita. It was super thin and tough. I like mine soft and warm.“
“10/10. Went for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Beautiful, understated atmosphere. Did the chefs tasting menu and every bite was perfect. Squash soup, tuna tartare, and ocean trout were our favorites. Left stuffed and happy. Easy walk from red line metro too.“
“From the moment that we walked in we were a top priority. José ensured my wife and I were well taken care of while juggling what seemed like the entire restaurant of people. Highly recommend the Hawk and Dove if you’re looking for good food and even better service.“
“I Iove this place. The host (Hedi) greeted us with a welcoming attitude. Once seated our server (Meyland) gave us the most wonderful service ever. She was so kind and patient with us. It’s such a wonderful restaurant with great service and atmosphere.“
“Immediately walking into Grill Marx customer service was amazing! The bartender, Sophie, was a prestine drink making machine! Not to mention, Jackie, Nikki, and Logan were extremely team oriented and helpful as well!I ordered the smokehouse burger, medium, per recommendation of Sophie and Logan, and it came out perfectly pink. I can definitely say that my dining experience at Grill Marx made my day 1000x better. 10/10 would recommend, it is truly the best restaurant in College Park, MD. I will be returning soon!“
“We stumbled upon this place randomlyWe had the French toast, all American, Florentine, home fries, bourbon whiskey (both strawberry and blueberry), matcha martini, and a blueberry mimosa. It’s rare when you try somewhere that every item you get off the menu is superb. We really enjoyed the food and drinks here and will definitely be back. It was clean and the ambience was nice as well.“
“We found this place on our way home searching for a place to get something to eat.We didn't know what to expect and we were very pleasantly surprised. The place is awesome. The food is excellent. The service is top tier.Parking: The lot is small but big enough for the place.Wheelchair accessibility: It's ground level.“
“Holy geez!! Fantastic food, great environment, extremely cool bartender/server (Max), and chill music.Read online that the mimosas, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits were the items to get. I got the mimosas and shrimp and grits. My wife got the chicken and waffles (which I tasted). All of it bonkers!! Wonderful start to my sunny Sunday! Thanks Max!Also, get the potatoes and veggies. Share them as they’re big enough for two.“
“Fantastic food, great service, tho, we didn't come during game time and outside normal dining hours, so service should be good.Ordered the jambalaya and the Flatbread, both were very good and a very reasonable price point. If we visit D.C. again, we'll definitely make an effort to visit this place again too, maybe before or after a Nationals game to get the full GameDay experience.“
“Greeted warmly and treated like a VIP all evening. Chose the three course menu-all wonderful options. Had Crispy sun chokes appetizer, chestnut gnocchi with field mushrooms for my entree and the sticky bun dessert. Savored each excellent bite. Paired a rich Cabernet with the meal. What a perfect meal“
“Wow wow wow what an amazing experience! I went for my 30th birthday and could not recommend this place more for special occasions! The food was phenomenal, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional, everything was well timed. The drinks were excellent and very different from anything I’ve had elsewhere, I’m really glad I took the bartender’s recommendation.“
“This was delicious. The mussels are said to be famous here and boy was that true! There was a generous portion in the bowl and it was sauced to perfection. The service was kind even with the room being a little cramped. I loved the Belgian atmosphere, like it was old Brussels! Recommend.“
“This place is busy so I recommend making a reservation. The food was great and our server Jasmine was thorough with helping me as a first timer. The pastries were delicious. She said they change them every week, compliments to the chef for being able to come up with so many great ideas. The citrus milk punch was interesting and worked well. Spinach omelette was good but it definitely lacked meat, glad that my server recommended getting bacon on the side. I can’t wait to try them for dinner.“
“Fantastic find! We shared the burrata, which was very good. My husband had oysters, which he loves and eats frequently. These were fresh and just the right amount of briny. I had the seafood chowder - tasty and spicy without too much heat to enjoy. Sizeable portion - I brought half home. We shared a creme brûlée- terrific. But what set this place apart was the service - attentive, incredibly polite and highly competent, like the level of service you get at a Michelin starred restaurant. We were lucky to get a walk-in table at 5:30. I'd get a reservation. I can see why it's so busy - great place.“
“My husband took me there to celebrate my birthday and I must say we had a wonderful time. The ambiance, service, the food was all A1 and we highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience. Our server Rodrigo went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special.“
“They could use another pair of hands to help turn tables during the dinner rush, but the food exceeded expectations. The Veggie Samosas were really well seasoned and had a nice slight kick. The chicken shawarma was also perfectly seasoned and cooked. I'm really excited to have found this new go to spot!“
“Vibe and customer service were great, though the burgers were just a bit "meh" overall. Not bad, just underwhelming. We enjoyed the fries though - crispy and well-seasoned. The veggie patty seemed homemade, which was great, but it overpowered the other flavors on the Charlie Burger.“
“One of the best places to get Ethiopian food. Atmosphere is a little cramped, but that's because it is a grocery store as well. The beef awaze tibs and Alicia Wot are pretty good as non-vegetarian entrees and special veggie combo were delicious, and so worth the price. Sambusas are pretty good, and very crispy, kind of like a samosa.I would consider this place to be an hidden gem in the Shaw neighborhood because it's under the name of a cigar shop, but has some of the best Ethiopian food I've had.“
“As someone with dairy and egg allergies, I was extremely grateful for the many vegan options on the menu. We came our first night in DC and had the delicious vegan nachos and vegan BBQ “chicken” bites and I was beyond impressed. We had such a great experience that we came back again…. And again while we were in DC. Everyone in my family (vegan and not) raved about their food and our service was phenomenal. Add in the great bookstore attached that the kids and us enjoyed while waiting for food and this place is a must go. If you’re a beer lover, try the Busboys Haze and you won’t be disappointed.“
“Today my husband and I brought our children here for a small celebration , ASHLEY my server was AMAZINGGGGG !! SHE has the best service ever, she was very attentive and informative and always came back to check on us at our table to make sure we had everything we needed. She also made sure to ask about any allergies any of us may have had definitely a plus b/c my baby is allergic to eggs so thank you Ashley for your beautiful service.“
“My colleague lives in the area and invited me for a drink and I had never heard of the spot. It was chill around happy hour, kinda empty. Classic dive bar. The beer was cold. By the second drink the place started to fill and it seemed like the male/female ratio was very lopsided to the female persuasion and at first I was like “cool”, and then I reeeally took it all in and started to wonder if I was at a gay bar (which is still totally cool). Maybe it was the vendor selling “Dyke” merchandise, or the fact that for once I was able to enjoy a drink without being bothered by strangers or crowded by yuppies. Either way the atmosphere was conducive to minding my own business and having a good time. The outdoor area is great. The upstairs had vendors with various art and wares they made. I have since learned that the event was actually “Dew Drop’s Dyke Party”. I would gladly come to another Tuesday “Dyke Party” if it’s always so chill (albeit not very diverse). The downstairs also had a bar and around 8 there was Christmas-themed live music of the R&B/Soul/Jazz persuasion. This crowd was substantially more eclectic and in my subjective views couldn’t be categorized as homogenous. Free live music in DC is unheard of so I was extremely gracious. My only complaint is that this is a dive in the heart of the dmv that doesn’t serve National Bohemian. But I have since learned that they allow dogs so I won’t hold it against them.“
“If you haven’t tried Cluckster’s you’re missing out! I was sad when they closed down the College Park location a few years ago and was to find this one!The boneless wings in nuclear sauce are my number one go-to menu option. Don’t let the name scare you, it is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, probably the same ”heat” as traditional buffalo wings, but a ton more flavor.Their customer service is great, the last few times I have visited Rob has been there. Last time I placed a phone order, he greeted me by my name as I walked in the door, try getting that at another fast food place!I would call it more fast casual than fast food, as they prepare your order in real time, and the wings are always fresh! Dining in is also an option and their eating area is clean and well maintained.Overall 5 stars across the board. Go visit Rob and try some boneless nuclear wings!“
“Brayan and Sydney were AMAZING servers!!!! They were so professional!!! Sydney was training, but she was a natural. Brayan was kind & made our experience so much fun. They helped us understand the menu, checked on us, and kept the wings (which were delicious) coming. I left satisfied & happy we stumbled upon this spot. We will definitely be back.“
“Had a great time with my wife here! Even though it seemed like it was a busy morning, the wait was not bad at all.Everything we ordered was a burst of flavor and on point. We both opted for classic breakfast staples (since it was our first time here and didn't want to risk it), however we were pleasantly surprised. What truly stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an great experience.Overall, It was not just a meal; it was an experience. Five stars all the way!“
“Chuck n Billy's is officially open. It was nice to get back hand dancing and line dancing . Saw alot of regular hand dancers in the house great customer service ,security was on site food was fresh and hot. Thanx for opening back up nice environment clean also. ?☕“
“Cute place, good food and friendly staff. Went on early weekend morning and didn’t wait to sit and was served fast. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars because the breakfast menu it was really highly priced. The “famous “ homemade pop tarts was ok, not what I was expecting for breakfast.“
“Such a nice place! The food was excellent and the drinks were great. You can tell it’s a neighborhood bar because the bartenders really knew the patrons and seemed to have a nice relationship with them. Danny the bartender is great! You can tell the workers here care about the quality of food and service they provide. Can’t wait to go back!“
“Yes! I love the concept. I love how it’s a hand made patty and the burger was cooked perfectly. In addition, you have an option to add items to your burger if you do the build your burger option. You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. I also ordered the seasoned fries (garlic parmesan). I was curious so I asked for the spicy ranch. It was pretty good.“
“Hello. I sat at the bar. And, I feel this is why my experience was so great! Both bartenders (Gustavo & Jimmy).Gustavo really went through the menu with me regarding new items, most popular items, and details on what I might be interested in. As someone new to the DMV area, it was nice to get an idea of the vibe, and he ended up making me something custom, which I loved. I always enjoy when a bartender can make something from scratch. I definitely recommend the French toast, but make sure you pair it with either something not sweet like eggs or a sour drink. Because French toast is definitely for the sweet tooth. I had the deviled eggs as an appetizer, and Gustavo added paprika for me as their standard is everything seasoning, like something you see on everything bagel. This was yummy as well. I definitely recommend as a starter before French toast to counteract the sweetness. As a bartender, he was very knowledgeable regarding French 75s and other drinks not typically on a menu. Overall, I was very content and happy with my experience. But, I do believe if I had sat anywhere else, I might not have had such a similar experience. Tot he new people, please come and try sitting at the bar! It's a lovely experience!!“
“Yesterday, I met up with a friend from out of town here. I had never been, but needless to say I've stumbled upon another pub to put on my list of places to grab a drink in the district. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy and intimate. I don't know if they have an expansion, but the bar I sat at is pretty small and there are *some* tables, but I'd argue the seating might be limited during peak season / hours. We didn't order any of the cocktails as we kept mostly to basic girl orders (tequila soda), but I saw a couple of them getting made and they looked really good -- especially their moscow mule. After a while, we decided to order food instead of going somewhere else. I got the pulled pork and my friend got the classic burger with everything on it; we also shared an order of half fries / half rings. I will start by saying this place is definitely on the lower end of DC prices, but still expect to spend at least $15 on a sandwich. That said, the pulled pork was flavorful, juicy, plentiful, and I did not feel cheated. My friend's burger also looked VERY yummy: it was a thicker patty, so if you prefer smashburgers this might not be your vibe. The fries and rings we had were good, but the standout were the fries -- they were a handcut, thicker wedge style that was crispy yet super fluffy on the interior. These are a must order. It's worth noting that this place is an LGBTQ+ establishment and apparently a mainstay in the queer community and local music scene -- the bartender told us about how Roberta Flack got her start there! I'm not normally in Capitol Hill, but now I got a place if I'm in that borough. Had a great time.“
“As usual‘s Walters Sports bar, accommodated our request for a beer pong tournament by reaching out and staff were super friendly and respectable. Clearly one of the best places to stop in while attending any sporting event such as a nationals game or DC United game.“
“I luv this place! First and foremost, much luv to my favorite bartender Lauren! She is always attentive, makes sure I get my Wizards game nobody else wants to watch and mixes my favorite drinks. Very energetic and friendly, always makes my visit awesome! Special shout out to the other great bartenders Mary Beth,Daren, and Terriika, always a pleasure. Otherwise, the spot has good reasonably priced drinks and food, why I will come alll the way from Bowie!“
“When I arrived and stated my name for the reservation, "Joe" the manager knew exactly who I was from a phone call I'd made days before the event. He kindly introduced himself, and led us to our table. This was just the start of all positive things to follow through-out the night. We ended up having a few extra guests but, no problem...they just simply accommodated us without hesitation! With "Joe" the manager, great food, great service (sorry but, I can't remember our hostess' name), and an awesome live band, our birthday event was simply marvelous! Thanks Stonefish Grill....until the next time!“
