“My significant other and I went there for lunch today and sat on the patio. It’s a beautiful restaurant, we were sat immediately and the food came out quick. The food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Portions were huge! You really get what you paid for and they did not disappoint. The server Lexi was adorable and super sweet. She wasn’t overbearing and checked on us between entrees to make sure everything was good. She was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place and Lexi! ?“

“The server, Karen is friendly and helpful. The crab dip is amazing. I live in New Mexico and visit Maryland once or twice a year. The Tavern is a must visit numerous times on each visit. Every time I make sure the crab dip is part of my order.“
“OH MY GOD, where do I begin?!! I have been to and worked at MANY restaurants throughout my life, and I have to say that this one is just about at the top of the list! First, the entire staff was friendly, hard working and on top of everything! Our server Maryann couldn't have been more sweet and attentive. You could tell that she genuinely loved what she does. Secondly, the food was AMAZING!!! Everything that we had was FANTASTIC! Several of us ordered the All You Can Eat. The oysters, clams, mussels and crab legs were so fresh, hot, plump and delicious!!!! The fried shrimp and hush puppies were hot, crispy and delicious!! The crab soup was EXCELLENT! The steak was cooked perfectly. The Chicken Chesapeake was INCREDIBLE and so big that we had to take home half of it. Even the drinks were great. I don't think I've ever been to a place that EVERYTHING was perfect! I was happy for 2 days afterwards just reliving how wonderful everything was. “My daughter and I had spent an afternoon in Frederick and wanted to try this place because I had heard of it before, so it was our first time being here and it was a very early dinner for us. I didn't realize how expensive dinner was the plate I was looking to order was $40 and I just couldn't justify that on that day because I had already spent so much money. The receptionist tried to make me go upstairs and then try to make me sit in some high chairs after I told her that I had a bad knee, so that was kind of annoying. But our waiter was a delight, and super friendly. While we were waiting for our dinner which was a salad and an order of poutine, a nice young man brought us over a sample of some soup. That soup was delicious! In fact everything we had was delicious including the French onion soup that I ordered. I had never had a french onion soup like that it was probably the best ever! We would definitely be back for lunch and a butterscotch creme brulee that I didn't get to order because I was stuffed and we had to run.“

I got 2 apps from here so for what it’s worth- the order got misunderstood over the phone so don’t be like me and ALWAYS CHECK your orders (from anywhere) before you leave on pick up. I was kinda rushing so didn’t and got bone in instead of boneless wings like asked. They were awesome about it and gave a gift card to come in and get my boneless order next time. I did yesterday and the chicken was quality. Not saucy, more dry rub (I got the Buffalo spicy) but I just know to ask for saucy next time that’s all! The pretzel bites tasted pretty processed like the ones you could get from the frozen section- and the cheese dip for them too. For the price, wasn’t really impressed there, but still edible.The friendliness and professionalism though was great. The bar is huge and the place in general has a nice space. Go try them!“
