“We had an incredibly delicious brunch at nada. Our server Franz was very friendly and made wonderful recommendations. We went with the Huevos Rancheros and Chicken enchiladas. Both dishes were to die for. Franz also recommended the Brussels sprouts as an app and holy moly they were gooooood. We will absolutely be back!“
“The service is wonderful. Very fast and fresh. I recommend the Birria pizza. They also have different types of specialties, a lot of different options for tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, different types of desserts, chips, and guacamole, or queso. Everything they have here is really good.“
“From start to finish my meal was delicious! Very attentive to allergies and making appropriate recommendations. The grilled oysters are a delight! Loved the two drinks I had. The loaded potato with the aged ribeye was perfection. The crepes are light and airy and the caramel sauce adds the right amount of sweetness. I visited the speakeasy before leaving and it was such a vibe. I plan to come again to try other dishes and drinks on both menus!“
“Tried out the Royal for date night. Cocktails are incredible. Unfortunately, we were on the exterior patio (not connected to the restaurant) so that + online ordering system almost made it feel like we weren’t really in the atmosphere. Food is well presented. Overall it was $150 for two rounds of drinks and 3 small plates, with very little interaction with service. Probably better bang for your buck at happy hour than a full on meal.“
“We came here for friend’s birthday and although imperfecto doesn’t scream birthday vibes the restaurant absolutely delivered. Food was immaculate- the drinks were delicious and the service was great. It was peak brunch time so the restaurant was super busy - but the staff was very timely and attentive.Onto the drinks, we had a variety of drinks, a crowd favorite was (classic) the espresso martinis. Some food highlights include the wagyu burger, the avocado toast was supreme, mussels, chicken and waffles and the pancakes.Be sure to specify if you are celebrating an event as the staff will be sure to make it special.“
“This place is a hidden gem. The food is so flavorful that your tongue will jump out of your mouth and slap your face! ?The staff is friendly and you can usually find the owner pitching in wherever necessary.Prices are good and drinks are strong. One of our favorites.“
“I got the pollo frito with tostones on the side and a little pickled slaw on top. It was delicious - reminded me of how my grandma fried chicken. Crispy and flavorful. The tostones were crispy too. I just wish you got one more piece of chicken for $18. Overall, totally worth it.“
“My wife and I had dinner on our anniversary and the food and service was outstanding. The menu is full of outstanding options and the atmosphere and vibe is great for date night or dinner with friends. Definitely one of the best restaurants in DC!“
“I ate my empanadas immediately upon it hitting the table so I didn't get a picture, holy god they were delicious. Get the lime (?) sauce with them as it makes them damn near euphoric. Great service from the bartender and chefs, highly recommend if you can get a seat!“
“I had to delete my last review because I can't help but call this place every week...For exquisite food: birria tacos, carne asada, loaded tater tots - and i am a tot hater!,... they make pickup easy.oh yeah, and their chicken fingers reminded me so much of oldschool Dairy Queen in a good way that i went home and made runny mashed potatoes. And it's great they give you a lil separate dish of rice and beans.“
“Great experience going here my first time. Wonderful, friendly staff who welcome you from the moment you walk in. Then there’s the food. First we had the shrimp in the cherry wine cream appetizer and we couldn’t stop dipping and tasting even after we were out of bread and shrimp…and chips. So good. We then tried the birria tacos and pescado criollo. The tilapia was perfectly cooked and the sauce was flavorful. The vegetables were fresh and even the rice and beans you could taste the love. The Birria was juicy and tender and it came with an amazing sauce made from the drippings and fresh veggies. Also the margaritas are giant!! Highly recommend.-Mr.Chris“
“Kumbia Restaurant in Gaithersburg, Maryland is a popular spot known for its delicious Latin American cuisine. They have a variety of dishes like empanadas, ceviche, and traditional entrees. The atmosphere is lively and they often have live music too! It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.“
“We walked into this unassuming neighborhood restaurant in Bethesda after seeing rather positive reviews, and walked out pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, flavorful, but not overwhelmingly seasoned. We loved most of our dishes especially the seafood saffron soup, sautéed shrimp with garlic, octopus, grilled squid, stuffed Portobello mushrooms. Lovely desserts got the flan con naranja and the chocolate mousse cake. Highly recommended.“
“First time there and they were so sweet. My 6 year old cousin finished all of her food and I’m assuming the guy was the manager said he was so proud of her and offered her a lollipop for finishing her food. When we left they all (cooks, servers, etc said bye to us in unison. Such a cute spot to get food with family. Food was definitely delicious. Portions are small but totally worth it! Will definitely be back when in the area.“
“I lived in Miami for a decade and used to live in Little Havana a few blocks from Versailles and La Carreta so I know what’s up when it comes to Cuban food. This place is legit and very authentic to the Miami Cuban flavors. Prices are reasonable (for DC) and it’s a nice comfortable restaurant for a casual night out.“
“I’ve been eating at Kantutas for years and have always had amazing food and service. I don’t eat meat but I do eat fish so I get the fish which is amazing. The new location is bigger and nicer but thankfully the food and service is just as wonderful.“
“Trouble communicating with the staff behind the counter so another guest in line helped me. Tried the fried trout $17.99, 1/2 chicken plate $14.99, yucca fries, fried rice, corn and onion in tomato salad. Everything was good except the yucca fries pick something else.“
“Don’t let the exterior or somewhat rundown atmosphere dissuade you — this is some of the best Mexican food I’ve had on the East coast so far, especially for the price! I really recommend the smothered burrito or the Burria tacos, they were amazing! Again, it looks kind of sketchy, but it was so good!“
“The most delicious restaurant in the United States. Delicious, delicious, delicious, and the manager is very classy. He helped me choose halal dishes without forbidden meat or alcohol. A wonderful experience, and I hope I will break my fast there tomorrow too, in Morocco (Ramadan). The only drawback is that it is expensive..“
“I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. Will be returning soon with local family!“
“Very good, casual, mexican food, with fun music and quick service here. Good for a quick dinner out in a fun, extremely casual spot. Tacos were excellent. Guacamole also excellent, and the waiter was accommodating, adding chopped jalapeños to the Guacamole on request.“
“I went to this place for a birthday celebration and I had a blast.. We ordered seafood soup baleadas and pupusas. It was all DELICIOUS. I also had Micheladas and must say is one of the best I’ve ever had.I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back to try the rest of their menu.“
“The tres leches cake was unbelievable! We came for our children to try arepas and ended up trying many items on the menu. The tequeños pop were a big hit with the kids! The items were well seasoned but we didn't find anything to be spicy. My husband and I really loved the bowl. Of course the queso rallado arepa was a hit with the kids as well as the chicha de arroz, which is a sweet, thick beverage. We all highly recommend this restaurant for those seeking something different to eat!“
“Got chicken steak fajitas combo and chicken tacos al carbon. Everything was flavorful with that carbon taste without the burnt aspect. The fresh, thiiiiiin tortilla chips and fresh salsa were too good; asked for more without extra charge! The ambiance was cute with intermittent white picket fencing lining the dining area, white tablecloth and napkins, silverware etc. My only regret is not going sooner, having lived nearby my whole life!Parking: Flat parking lot in shopping center mixed mostly restaurants and some retail that always has some parking“
“El Cielo made our Valentine’s celebration a memorable experience! I wanted to surprise my husband this year and the CCO, Pedro, was very helpful when it came to helping me with last minute reservations. The entire staff was friendly, eloquent, and very professional. My husband and I are both Spanish speakers (it is our mother tongue) and we loved interacting with the staff in Spanish (this made it so much more special to us). Now, as for the food. Let me just start by saying that when I told my husband what our dining experience would be like, he was very skeptical. He is an amateur fighter, and when he is not doing “fighting camps” he LOVES to eat. When we arrived he was already making plans to go eat arepas after, to finish filling his tummy. Needles to say, arepas did not happen after, as he was extremely full from all the courses. Each meal was beautifully presented, and tasted just as divine! We loved knowing what each meal represented and they are all a beautiful homage to Colombia. The atmosphere in El Cielo, is very cozy. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself makes you feel like you are eating at a friends house. From the decorations to the music. Y para terminar, usando las palabras de mi hermoso esposo después de finalizar nuestra cena “Parce, toda esta comida estaba tan rica que te hace sentir que estás en el cielo”. El Cielo, un nombre tan propio para este encantador lugar. Nuevamente, muchísimas gracias a todos por hacer, y ser parte, de esta experiencia única e inolvidable para nosotros. Hasta la próxima!“
“Had an amazing meal there last week with another couple. The waiter recommended an off-menu fixed price meal for $75 per person; they brought out a mix of dishes over 4 courses served family style. Everything was delicious - an amazing value for all the food we got, and it was fun to try so many dishes. It was more or less a 12-course tasting menu with all the things we got to try. Most of the dishes were very inventive - like nothing I'd had anywhere else. Drinks were also amazing. And service was great - the waiter was on the ball all night and really helpful at guiding us. Can't wait to return.“
“Nice really nice small Guatemalan restaurant in the heart of Washington DC!Service was really good (one lady show) perfect. Waiting time was short!Food was great… Guate tamales extremely good… freshly fried chicken empanadas!! Guac n chips.. guac could be a bit more, true Guatemalan flavor… and crema… good crema! Yes Guatemala crema flavor!“
“We love the food and the kitchen is fast. Food is excellent and the portions are generous. My water glass is never empty!!!Parking: Located in a shopping center with loads of parking. There is a lower parking lot behind and below the restaurant that is seldom usedKid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Tables and booths, no stairs“
“This new arrival to P St NW in DuPont is going to be a hit. There is finally a spot with good tacos in DC!Music is cool upbeat EDM and the atmosphere is clean and modern. The prices are reasonable at $15-$25 for a good sized meal.I'm looking forward to coming back with friends to try their 4:30-7:30 happy hour.“
“Did a pick up order. The Steak sandwich was really really good and whatever bread they used was really good too. Empanadas were good but nothing special in my opinion, however I wasn't a huge fan of the dip, which seemed to be just sour cream. Calamari was decent but I wouldn't pay $11 for it again. Overall, pretty nifty little spot.“
“This place is good simple Mexican restaurant. It's not expensive but a very good experienceVegetarian options: Beans Burittos rice soup quesadillaDietary restrictions: Accommodation for gluten intoleranceParking: There is ample parking right next to the restaurant“
“Looking for an authentic Honduran food restaurant & this is it. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable about the food even though all the servers weren't from Honduras, but I was assured all the cooks are Honduran. The food was wonderful with large portions. One of the fish dishes was served as a whole fish, head & tail! It was amazing. The inside dining room is small. There is also an outdoor area.“
“Very small place unlimited indoor seating. The chicharones we're very crisp yet tender. The pupusas had a really good amount of filling. The slaw that comes with it could have been better seasoned. Also ordered the birra tacos, which were phenomenal, but if you do not like spicy, ask them to lower the heat. The horchata drink was homemade and was delicious. Give this place a try.“
“I miss Don Pablo's, so I went to his brother's restaurant Don Jorge's. This place was amazing. As the typical Mexican restaurant routine, you're given chips and salsa to start off. As main entree, I ordered the enchilada combo with refried beans (vegetarian). It comes with beans and rice, but you can substitute it. The salsas were awesome, especially the spicy one. Staff and service was mediocre, but that's okay, they took care of us as best they could during a busy time. The ambiance was very nice with a Latin American vibe. It's simple, but showcases the culture. Will def come back!“
“Gabriella was such an incredible joy to work with. She was vibrant and joyful. Her customer service was impeccable. She was the best server I have experienced in the Georgetown area. I am hopeful to come back here to experience this place again.“
“I decided to try something new from Uber eats. Long story short, I ended up ordering the same thing the next day and theeeeen I went to the actual restaurant the following week! That's how good it was lol. I ordered the steak and shrimp meal with refried beans and rice...cooked to perfection.“
“This is a neighborhood restaurant on Georgia Avenue, suitable for family and friend mesls, lunch or dinner. The menu is excellent and the plate presentations are beautiful. Big screen TV's are strategically placed in all directions, should you be a sports afficiando. In the evening the second floor becomes place latinx music. There is a bar and restrooms. The basement sports billards, food and music. The service is warm and friendly. It is not yet total ADA disability friendly to wheelchairs. The new ownership indicates possibly to make those improvements in the future. Until then, carryout is still very good.“
“This place is absolutely delicious! It's inside a food hall that is cute and has a quiet vibe, at least during the weekday. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free too! Love it! Wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.Dietary restrictions: Most of the menu is gluten free because they are made with corn flour. I didn't get the sense that they are a certified gluten free kitchen that avoids cross contamination though. The employees didn't know what I meant when I asked about gluten.“
“Everything was so wonderful the first time I ate here, I came back a week later with a friend. The food is delicious and the prices very reasonable. Last time I had a Relleno de Carne ($8), Sopa de Mani peanut soup with beef ($9), and Mocochinchi peach drink ($4). This time we tried Beef, Vegan, and Chicken Saltenas ($6). There's a reason why they come with instructions on how to eat them. The Coffee Flan ($4) was a great dessert. Looking forward to coming back to try other items on the menu.“
“Villa Maya is my favorite neighborhood spot for girls' nights, family dinners and happy hour! Food is great and the staff is awesome. I especially want to give them a shout out for accommodating a very large group on a very busy Saturday night. It wasn't easy and they stuck with us. They are also a great option if you need to cater an event. Definitely recommend!“
“Very Nice ambience, truly enjoyed the music, the service , the food. If you are looking for a place to hang out anytime, this is it! They have parking, security, food and beverage all in one place, if you do try the food definitely go for Shrimp ceviche it's out of this world??“
“We were looking for a place close to a tournament our son was participating in. The reviews looked decent and the prices reasonable, so we decided to give it a try. This is the place where the locals go...and that's how we knew it would be good. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive until it got too busy for her. We ordered the chicken, fries, maduros, papusas, a quesadilla and a sandwich. None of us left dissapointed or hungry. If you are in the area, this is worth a stop in to eat.Dietary restrictions: This is a easy place to go if you eat gluten-free since so many of the foods are naturally gluten-free“
“The best Tacos I ever tasted in the area; prices are very reasonable, living over 30 years in DC the flavor and service they deliver are excellent. I'm Peruvian but I can tell you this is a unique place for Mexican and Central American plates. ??????Vegetarian options: You can select yourself your choices.“
“Staff is cool and attentive, and the food is fresh and tasty. Unique style of fusion food that I've really enjoyed. Chicken and tofu Korean rice bowl with sriracha and lime cream has been a go-to for me whenever I've gone here. This is a cool new joint in the Kentlands that is clean with plenty of seating.“
“Loved what we ordered and atmosphere was great! We told our waitress we wanted the steak medium well and it came out perfect and juicy. My chanco con yuca was very flavorful and the nacatamal was great! The queso frito was fine but the tajadas could have been thiner and the tostpones were a bit under cooked and different than what I'm used to. But overall we all loved our meals. I also ordered a cacao that was amazing! We purchased some cheese to take home and some pastries. Will definitely be back again and will recommend to my friends.Parking: Parking free on Sundays“
“My first time here was interesting. Parking is on the back side, but the restaurant faces the front. Their chicken is unmatched. Tasted good the first and second day I ate it. The service was quick and to the point. I felt a bit rushed when making my decision. The place to eat didn't seem like much was put into it, just a few tables and chairs to eat in if you would like. I got the half chicken with red beans and rice with a side of plantain. I love the season of the chicken and the redheads and rice filled me up really good. Overall, I liked this establishment. I would return.“
“NAILED IT!! First Timers and we absolutely enjoyed this place. We were unsure if we could get crispy tacos from online descriptions- as we were “Jones-ing” all week for a Crispy taco. So we called to verify prior to ordering on Uber. Nice young lady answered and told us how to make order. FAST, delicious, hot and so flavorful. We can’t wait to have more experiences, hoping to get the same everything- every time.We thought price point was applicable and size was appropriate. The hot sauce was such a painful- delight!Thank You,The Jones“
“Local and authentic Pupusería. $6 for 2. Fresh and made to order, lots of options but I went with just bean and cheese and cheese. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant is small on the inside but there's a pretty large outdoor covered patio. Definitely recommend and would be interested in their other offerings.“
“Cool spot. Nice ambiance. The queso and guacamole were probably my favorite items, along with the sangria. Not a lot of flavor on anything but not bad either. Bathrooms were grossly dirty. My brother enjoyed his veggie fajitas.Vegetarian options: Veggie fajitas, vegan black beans, a few other itemsParking: Very large parking structure“
“I was recommended this place by a long time local restauranteur. The owners of this truck are HIGHLY respected cooks in the county, especially the Olney area. I was a little surprised by the menu but ordered one item from each "side." I got the cubano sub which is more like a steak and cheese than a Cuban, and the carne asada platter. The food was truly outstanding and that cubano sub really blew me away. It's a delicious, unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich. The carne asada was wonderful and the portion sizes were huge. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. You'll be full all day!“
