“I had a 50th Birthday party for my brother on Saturday, April 8th, 2023 in the evening. The atmosphere at the restaurant was amazing, food was fresh and hot. The best part was our server "Ciara R", she was excellent and provided the best service to my party guest. I would definitely have another event here and would request to have Ciara again. “Marta manages to be both lively and cozy simultaneously in a rowhouse that previously housed Salt (one of my all time favorite upscale restaurants) We went for a friend's birthday, and all 3 courses were delicious, beautifully presented, inventive, and not the same old menu that you find everywhere. Very sweet wait staff was super attentive, educated about the food and wine and made great suggestions. Our original wait staff had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of service, but seamlessly another wait person stepped in to covered us. Kudos to the front of house team for handling with such skill and ease. But the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, the standout was the tuna cannoli. I'm not even sure I can do justice to this deliciousness with a crunchy outer "cannoli" shell with a slight hint of sweet surrounding a creamy center of tuna crudi with little dots of avocado cream. And all was covered with a pistachio "dust." The spicy meatballs were delectable nestled in a cloud of creamy spicy ricotta. And the Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti (little triangle ravioli) was creamy, delicious and the perfect combination of delicate tastes. And the Tiramisu Affogato ended the dinner on a delicious note! “We recently had an early dinner at Sunshine Grille. The waiter was very kind, knowledgeable and attentive. And the food was amazing. I had the Salmon bowl and my husband had the pork chops! Oh, and the dessert’s! Of course we ordered a dessert to go! We’ll be back soon!“

“I came for the food and got an entire experience. I had the curry chicken, jerk chicken AND the oxtails, everything was seasoned right and full of flavor. Definitely some real soul food.

But what really made the place stand out is there’s more to it than food. They have karate classes in the basement, plus books, essential oils, herbs and other products in the shop.

Food. Culture. Knowledge. Wellness. Martial arts. All under one roof. ✊🏾

This is the type of Black-owned business I love coming across and supporting. I just left and already know I’ll be back.

“I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Ampersea! From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Joey was absolutely fantastic - setting us up at a table with an amazing view and checking on us multiple times during our visit. He offered to take our coats after we were seated and then offered to take pictures of us when we were on our way out. Ampersea has definitely been the most positive experience we have had during our trip. I stopped in today for a late lunch and early dinner. The new setup threw me off at first since I'm used to ordering at the counter and then finding my own seat. It wasn't a big deal, I just wasn't expecting the change!

Before long, I spotted a familiar face. Yamil has been here since the grand opening, or at least it feels that way! His customer service is always efficient, friendly, genuine, and welcoming.

He recommended the skirt steak, and it was a great recommendation. It seems the recipe has returned to what it was before COVID, which was a pleasant surprise. My meal arrived hot and absolutely delicious.

As always, it's a pleasure dining here. I prefer this location over the Columbia, MD location any day of the week! I'll definitely be back and hope to see more familiar faces.

“Wow, delicious Chinese food!

It was ready quickly and they gave us everything we needed including plastic silverware, napkins, soy sauce and sweet and sour. We just moved here so this was so helpful.

All the food was delicious, we got kung pao chicken and general tso chicken with shrimp and vegetable egg rolls. The kung pao chicken was my favorite!

We will definitely be back. Overall, it was a quick, easy, and wonderful dinner experience!“

“Great little diner that's been around for years. My first time here, heard about it from friends. The creamed chipped beef was very good and the pancakes are also good. I had the peanut butter pancakes which were old fashioned style: you put the peanut butter on yourself. There was only one waitress there that I could see, thank goodness it wasn't very busy at 10AM.
