“First Watch is always a favorite go to for breakfast or lunch. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. No one in my party had any complaints about their order or the service. This on is conveniently located by the Costco shopping center so we were also able to fill up for the road when we left.“

“250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. “Service was very slow. I suspect it was an understaffing issue. Food was slow in coming out and was luke warm, especially my personal pizza. It's a loud restaurant. They do a great business so the crowds are always busy and active. It's not a criticism, it is just not our preference. Still, it is moderate food at a moderate price.“

“As Delis go, this is a solid choice. They have been in business for 10 years and made it through the Pandemic, so that should testify to their ability to keep their clients coming back. Serving breakfast and lunch, they have a traditional menu, but the sandwiches are super sized, Soups are good, haven't tried the salads.“

“Actually it was the gentile half of the hospital cafe. I was impressed with the selection and quality. Hot, tasty food done pretty quick. And the price was right. I had a Cuban sandwich and my wife had a delicious looking salad she made herself. The dining area was roomy and filled with natural light.“

“Quaint little café inside of the hopkins medical pavilion. They have a good selection on hot and cold sandwiches of the breakfast and lunch variety. They also offered soups and tarts. They have plenty of drink options from water to soda, fruit smoothies and juices. They even have some regular snacks in the form of chips, candies and granola bars. The staff were very friendly and service was quick for my items and others over the time I sat and ate.“
