“Randomly driving through Timonium on our way back to PA we were looking for food. Fuentes showed with good reviews and we stopped. Now once a month (sometimes more) we drive an hour back to Timonium for amazing food. We’ve even brought family down here. The italian food is plentiful and tasty but the fish and shrimp tacos are our favorite. A lovely couple owns the place and they cook all the food and they’ve always been kind to us. We hope to come here for many more years.“

“My husband and I had a late breakfast at the Timonium location on December 27, 2024. Upon arrival, at almost 11:30 AM, the hostess named Samantha, was seating another group of people. We watched Samantha clean tables, set place settings, before returning and seating us. We soon took note that this very pleasant hostess/greeter was taking on several jobs: we watched her methodically bus tables, return to awaiting guests in line and proceed to repeat the same process...while also being the cashier for departing guests who were paying their bill. As more and more people arrived, we watched Samantha's professionalism never waiver. Our waitress named Kelly was also pleasant. She quickly took our order and soon returned with drinks. Not long later, another kitchen helper returned with our plates of food. I commented on how well everyone was working and gave a special appreciation to Samantha. We observed Samantha rearrange tables to accommodate groups of people while maintaining her warm smile that revealed her love for her job and customers! The food was delicious, and the service was above standard. Employees at this location really work well together but Kudos to Ms. Samantha who worked above and beyond expectations!!!“

“Quaint little café inside of the hopkins medical pavilion. They have a good selection on hot and cold sandwiches of the breakfast and lunch variety. They also offered soups and tarts. They have plenty of drink options from water to soda, fruit smoothies and juices. They even have some regular snacks in the form of chips, candies and granola bars. The staff were very friendly and service was quick for my items and others over the time I sat and ate.“

“The Timonium store is top notch! My second home away from home. They are very friendly employees. Sit eat, chat with friends, eat some more, get another drink, chat, eat, you are never rushed out. Many conduct business there. Many on there laptops & I have even seen them bring in their big computers & plug them in. 6am til 9pm, Sunday thru Sat. Give them a try, find a comfortable seat, & just chill!“

“This breakfast diner is a gem in Baltimore. Derek is an amazing person with a million great stories about Baltimore then and now. He even dropped us at the rugby game when the uber didn’t show up. Enjoy the best breakfast around (southern style) and have a chat with good people!“

“I love the 50's music that plays and the really nice photos on the walls. Be prepared to experience a completely different way of flavors. The menu is diverse and very interesting. This was our first time there and we have decided to make it our place to go after a DR. visit nearby. There is parking on the street as well as behind the building. We were unaware of the parking behind the building so I thought a heads up to others was needed. The menu online is the same as the actual menu. The difference is the online menu printing is extremely small. We were thoroughly impressed with Ms Shirley's Cafe. It is well worth the trip!!!!“

“A huge thank you to the folks at One World Cafe for coming to the Hopkins football tailgate crepe tent rescue. We discovered post game when it was time to start cooking for the team that we left our cooler of eggs and milk on the 7th floor of the Marriott parking garage. We had all the toppings but no crepe ingredients! Remembering all the great breakfasts I have had at One World (as a regular customer we have always received stellar service and food) I dashed across the street to see if they could spare some eggs and milk. Everyone was so friendly and kind and happy to help and saved the day with 8 eggs and a gallon of milk! Thank you so very much. “Came here for brunch with some friends out of town and the food is so good!! Honestly it's better than Miss Shirleys but less touristy with a cute neighborhood vibe. I loved my veggie burrito and my friends loved the biscuits and gravy, and the burger. They have Zeke's coffee which is a plus.

I will be honest and say I was a little apprehensive at first, seeing the prices for what I thought was diner food. But this is so worth it! Definitely upscale, Southern inspired food. Will definitely be back“

“250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. Pastries and toasts are excellently made, not to mention the cafe’s quiet atmosphere for studying/working. These are all factors that are rarely found in a single cafe which makes Kanom stand out!“

“Excellent, adorable, no-frills micro cafe within the belly of an office building. Plain and simple in a good way. Classic, homey soups + sandwiches + coffee done out of a tiny kitchen where you can watch everything being made. The service is fast too!

On a personal note, I love dressed-down places like this. I also find humor in how it’s situated within the surrounding office space. The contrast between the cuteness of the place with the stiffness of the environment just outside makes eating here a funny experience.

“As Delis go, this is a solid choice. They have been in business for 10 years and made it through the Pandemic, so that should testify to their ability to keep their clients coming back. Serving breakfast and lunch, they have a traditional menu, but the sandwiches are super sized, Soups are good, haven't tried the salads.“

The sourdough crust on the pizzas are phenomenal — structurally strong enough to support the toppings without being floppy, nice taste, simultaneously crunchy and soft — a great middle ground. For the effort they’re putting in on the crust alone, it’s a 5-star pizza. However, I tried the supreme and the chicken and felt both could use some balancing when it comes to the flavors of the toppings. I’d buy again, yes, but not in a rush.

This is a small business owned and operated by local WOMEN. I've had the chance to chat with both lof the owners, Jane and Lindsay, and their passion and thoughtfulness is genuine and heart warming. Jane, even teared up as she described her desire to be a safe, comforting place for the patients, their families and the staff of KKI.

If you are in the area I would encourage you to stop in, you will not be disappointed.

And if you happen to be at KKI for not the best of reasons, and need a little uplifting, stop in and just have a chat with Jane. I promise you will leave with a smile on your face!

I can't say enough about the quality and creativity and the utter deliciousness of everything I've tried at The Nook; from the Harvest Salad with crispy chickpeas to any of the variety of chicken salads (my favorite is the Curry chicken salad on a spinach wrap!), to the banana pudding and French toast. Every bite is a treat to the senses.

I've been to their downtown, UMD-Bio Park location as well and it's also amazing. Plus at the Bio Park you theres patio seating and you can even get a glass of wine or cold local beer with your lunch 😉.

“I stopped today for the first time and I will definitely be back! I got a snickerdoodle latte, chocolate croissant, and some sort of caramel apple pastry. All three were SO GOOD! “I’ll be honest, I was both excited and skeptical about trying Wonder when it first opened. The whole concept seemed a little strange to me, and I wasn’t sure how it would actually work. Since they were offering 50% off for first time customers when I went, I figured it was worth a try.

We ordered a pizza from Alanza, a double cheeseburger from Burger Baby, and a Build Your Own Bowl from El Diez. Funny enough, the burger, which was the item I was least excited about based on how it looked, ended up being my favorite. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The pizza was a little overdone, but I actually like my pizza that way, so no complaints there. The bowl was good too, though I felt like it was missing a little something. Maybe some extra lime or cilantro would have given it more of that fresh Mexican flavor.

I’d definitely come back and try some of the other restaurants they have. I also really liked the atmosphere. It was quiet, clean, and didn’t feel chaotic, which was nice. The kitchen area looked especially clean, which always leaves a good impression.

If you’ve been curious about Wonder and are looking to try something different, I’d say it’s worth checking out, especially while they’re offering 50% off for new customers. There’s a huge variety of food options, so it’s easy for everyone in your group to find something they’ll enjoy. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and left more impressed than I expected to be.“
