“Randomly driving through Timonium on our way back to PA we were looking for food. Fuentes showed with good reviews and we stopped. Now once a month (sometimes more) we drive an hour back to Timonium for amazing food. We’ve even brought family down here. The italian food is plentiful and tasty but the fish and shrimp tacos are our favorite. A lovely couple owns the place and they cook all the food and they’ve always been kind to us. We hope to come here for many more years.“

“My husband and I had a late breakfast at the Timonium location on December 27, 2024. Upon arrival, at almost 11:30 AM, the hostess named Samantha, was seating another group of people. We watched Samantha clean tables, set place settings, before returning and seating us. We soon took note that this very pleasant hostess/greeter was taking on several jobs: we watched her methodically bus tables, return to awaiting guests in line and proceed to repeat the same process...while also being the cashier for departing guests who were paying their bill. As more and more people arrived, we watched Samantha's professionalism never waiver. Our waitress named Kelly was also pleasant. She quickly took our order and soon returned with drinks. Not long later, another kitchen helper returned with our plates of food. I commented on how well everyone was working and gave a special appreciation to Samantha. We observed Samantha rearrange tables to accommodate groups of people while maintaining her warm smile that revealed her love for her job and customers! The food was delicious, and the service was above standard. Employees at this location really work well together but Kudos to Ms. Samantha who worked above and beyond expectations!!!“

“Quaint little café inside of the hopkins medical pavilion. They have a good selection on hot and cold sandwiches of the breakfast and lunch variety. They also offered soups and tarts. They have plenty of drink options from water to soda, fruit smoothies and juices. They even have some regular snacks in the form of chips, candies and granola bars. The staff were very friendly and service was quick for my items and others over the time I sat and ate.“

Many conduct business there. Many on there laptops & I have even seen them bring in their big computers & plug them in. 6am til 9pm, Sunday thru Sat. “Adorable and quirky cafe that is 100% worth all the hype, the long waits, and the hard-to-snag reservations. I visited Golden West Cafe on a Sunday afternoon with a moderately large group (7 people). We were originally hoping for a brunch reservation but could only snag a 3 PM slot -- a testament to how incredibly popular they are -- although we ended up being ready at 2 PM and called ahead to ask if they could seat us earlier. They, very graciously, were able to make space for us to come a tad earlier.

The food was absolutely incredible -- it was some combination of American comfort and Mexican / Latin American, with classic Mexican items like huevos ranchos, fish tacos, and enchiladas right next to traditional American brunch selections like chicken and waffles, hot cakes, and so forth. Their menu is also remarkably vegetarian / vegan-friendly, and it features their own house-made vegan chicken!

We decided to split a few items, including the zucchini brie hot cakes, fish tacos, and vegan hot honey chicken and waffles. All three were outstanding, but my favorite had to be the zucchini brie hot cakes. The cakes were remarkably soft and fluffy, and I loved the bit of sweetness from the zucchini (and maple syrup, of course), and the extra hit of rich creaminess and savoriness from the brie. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo, and it was easily one of the biggest surprises of the meal.

The rest of the items were also delicious, although not quite as wowing.The fish tacos were well-fried and flavorful, and I was quite impressed by how crispy and thin their accompanying fries were. I really enjoyed the flavor of the hot honey vegan chicken and waffles, but I was, admittedly, a little bit thrown off by the texture of both. It's very possible that the waffle had just gotten a bit soggy because I ate this dish last and it wasn't quite at its peak freshness. Either way, I really enjoyed my time here, and it's 100% worth I try. I can't wait to make my way back to Hampden to sample the rest of their menu!“

“Tried this place for the first time the other day and I'll definitely be back! I ordered the mushroom toast and a house drip coffee, and both were really good. The mushroom toast was delicious!!! “My boyfriend and I were looking for a new brunch and coffee spot, and The Common Ground Cafe was a nice surprise! Their coffee is unique and tasty. The breakfast sandwiches were good too. I ordered their SW sando and my boyfriend got the Hampden sandwich. The candied bacon on the Hampden was sooo good! They’re also known for their s’more’s cookie. I recommend the place!“

“A well designed small space with an equally good ambient. Customer can have a very good view of the Hall with well maintained preparatory baking area and well displayed items. Some of the bakery items are unique with visual appeal amd taste. I have attached one photo of the item which I ordered. Even the sitting bench slopes towards the middle which is very convenient to sit and get up. Courier pickup segment seems to be well organised. Not a noisy environment. “This place was amazing we went 2 days in a row!!!
We were visiting Baltimore for an event and we're exploring some restaurants. For breakfast we chose Miss Shirleys and I can confidently say this is the best food I've had in a while, especially in breakfast category.
We had their chicken breast tenders and sweet waffles, fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, brisket, and eggs with sausage. Food was amazing !!!!! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy delicious food and great atmosphere!!!“

“A huge thank you to the folks at One World Cafe for coming to the Hopkins football tailgate crepe tent rescue. We discovered post game when it was time to start cooking for the team that we left our cooler of eggs and milk on the 7th floor of the Marriott parking garage. We had all the toppings but no crepe ingredients! Remembering all the great breakfasts I have had at One World (as a regular customer we have always received stellar service and food) I dashed across the street to see if they could spare some eggs and milk. “250828 - By the time we reached Sparks, the muffins had begun to take effect; we were low on fuel, having come off the highway, aware wet were close to ‘Empty’ in unfamiliar country. Nervously looking for a gas station, ambling along our way back to Canada after a week in the capital. Some said we were brave to visit, we never minded, soaked it all in, we were just there to check on our American cousins, see how y’all were making out in a rather turbulent time. Loved the rolling countryside and gorgeous homes in the area - hmmm…a preserve of the ‘horsie set?’ we thought. Now, even lower on fuel, we caught the sign and stopped at TFS. We surveyed the place, quirky storefront and round the back which felt surprisingly, decidedly chill. Straightaway, we struck up a conversation with a friendly physical therapist, because we’re that kind of chatty. Had a spontaneous, lovely and wide-ranging chat including the whole family. A delicious milkshake, I think a cookie, and couple washroom breaks later, our new friend sent us on our way to the Exxon down the way and a nearby turnoff to get us back en route to the north land. Felt really good to meet a kind helpful soul along the way, the kind of people we wanted to show the kids, and we somehow knew we would certainly meet on our drive into NY, PA, MD, VA, DC. Now back in the land of the silver birch, home of Lord Stanley’s sport and the ‘double-double,’ I am just reading about your late friend Rosa and how much she’d touched you all and your beloved TFS :) Nice lil place. “I’ll be honest, I was both excited and skeptical about trying Wonder when it first opened. The whole concept seemed a little strange to me, and I wasn’t sure how it would actually work. Since they were offering 50% off for first time customers when I went, I figured it was worth a try.

We ordered a pizza from Alanza, a double cheeseburger from Burger Baby, and a Build Your Own Bowl from El Diez. Funny enough, the burger, which was the item I was least excited about based on how it looked, ended up being my favorite. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The pizza was a little overdone, but I actually like my pizza that way, so no complaints there. The bowl was good too, though I felt like it was missing a little something. Maybe some extra lime or cilantro would have given it more of that fresh Mexican flavor.

I’d definitely come back and try some of the other restaurants they have. I also really liked the atmosphere. It was quiet, clean, and didn’t feel chaotic, which was nice. The kitchen area looked especially clean, which always leaves a good impression.

If you’ve been curious about Wonder and are looking to try something different, I’d say it’s worth checking out, especially while they’re offering 50% off for new customers. There’s a huge variety of food options, so it’s easy for everyone in your group to find something they’ll enjoy. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and left more impressed than I expected to be.“

“Excellent, adorable, no-frills micro cafe within the belly of an office building. Plain and simple in a good way. Classic, homey soups + sandwiches + coffee done out of a tiny kitchen where you can watch everything being made. The service is fast too!

On a personal note, I love dressed-down places like this. I also find humor in how it’s situated within the surrounding office space. The contrast between the cuteness of the place with the stiffness of the environment just outside makes eating here a funny experience.

“I work upstairs so I frequent often. Breakfast and lunch, either or daily because the servings our generous enough for both. I have had it all, cold sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches and sandwiches off the grill. Regardless of what I order, it never disappoints. The Reuben is a favorite, lean Corned beef and cooked perfect on the flat top. I try to eat lite at work but felt like a burger today. I am tough when I am judging a burger, cause I’ve had more than any cardiologist would recommend in a lifetime, the mushroom burger was a 8.3/10. I can only remember one or two getting near the 9 score in my life so 8.3 is definitely something to be proud about. Only suggestion is put it in the small carryout box because wrapping it in paper with all the fried onions and mushrooms got the top bun covered in grease, but the burger was so good I quickly got beyond a greasy bun.
The open line only works when you have line-cooks as friendly, polite, and cool as your staff. Keep up the good work!“
