“We had a reservation for 7:30pm on a Saturday night, so we knew the place would be full and noisy. It was. There were several large parties and birthday celebrations taking place around us in the dining room area. Other than that everything was PERFECT! The crab toast appetizer was excellent! Our entrees and sides were prepared as requested and were DELICIOUS! Our server was hustling between many tables but managed to keep our drinks topped. We all had a wonderful dinner with enough leftovers to be able to enjoy again in a day or two! For two meals each the prices were pretty reasonable. Sammy's has become one of my go-to restaurants for Italian. Can't wait to go back!!!“

“Saw this spot on Facebook and wanted to give it a try. When I tell you the food was delicious everything was seasoned well and fresh. Even down to the cookie which another customer suggested them to me and they were good also. We ordered the Apple butter wings that came with garlic parmesan fries and fried Brussels which my wife said everything was so good and tasted great even the wings were big and not some of the typical small wings you get from other places. I also ordered the make your meal deal with 4 wings, collard greens and Mac and cheese all were good and very well seasoned. Customer service was great and everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be a repeat customer and try something different the next time we go. I would definitely recommend calling again to save yourself some time but either way you won't be disappointed even if you have to wait a little. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ for me..“

“The food is amazing and the people who work here are PHENOMENAL! We had brought a foster puppy when sitting outside and without hesitation, they brought him a water bowl. Multiple staff members came and said hi to him, as well. Oh, and our server went above and beyond to accommodate our vegan friend. I’ll definitely be back!!!!“

“The breakfast sandwich was awesome, the cheddar was great with phenomenally cooked eggs. We also got the pancakes which were fantastic as well. I got the hazelnut mocha iced which was okay, wanting to try other coffees to see if I like any others better. A definite go to for a quick breakfast stop.

We got a carrot cupcake to go which was awesome, equivalent if not better than cake by Jason!

“I have been a Dough Run “regular” since shortly after they first opened. The food is wonderful. Unlike many other eateries, they have not gone to cheaper ingredients since the pandemic and you can tell by how fresh and tasty everything is. The sweets are amazing and if you are gluten-free they have an increasing number of items available for you. I highly recommend the gf/v “gruffins” and the lemon squares when available are not to be missed!“

“Sat outside in the sunshine breathing in the beautiful fall air today. I got the special of the day, a fried haddock sandwich with fries. A latte & an iced coffee, plus a bag of cookies, totaling to about $45. Everything was excellent. The sandwich was huge & I could only eat half. You can sit inside in 2 seperate dining areas, or at an outside table. The patio is cozy & they bring your food out to your table. They have a ton of delicious looking baked goods in the display up front, with beautiful mini pies & seasonal items. Prepacked cookies, brownies & other baked goods sit off to the side. There is also a fridge filled with a variety of pre-made soups & containers of fresh fruit you can buy to go. Cute little place. The service was also excellent.

“First time visiting, just moved to the area. Ordered a late breakfast - the shakshuka, a chocolate croissant, and an iced decaf latte. Waited a little over 5 minutes before I was told they didn't have any decaf, so received a refund. Shakshuka was pretty tasty, but not very hot (and it came in an aluminum tray, which I would think would keep it pretty toasty) and the eggs were cooked really unevenly. The roll that came with it was fresh and flavorful. Croissant was pretty good... Flaky and not dry. The space could use a good cleaning. A lot of crumbs on countertops, dust, and the serve yourself drink machines looked pretty funky.“

“My group got the breakfast poutine, chicken and waffles and breakfast tacos. Everything was amazing and I don't use that word lightly. Even down to the drinks and fruit that came with the breakfast taco it all was perfect. I would very easily recommend this place and their food to others and would come back again. A tad bit loud but you don't notice it as much when you're stuffing your face with amazing food.“

“Avenue Cafe in Towson is a wonderful staple of the community and can always be counted on for tasty lunch and breakfast food. The staff is always so wonderful and kind, service is quick, and the food is always delicious! I highly recommend this as a lunch location for anyone in the area!“

“Getting there was a bit crammed and busy. As there’s a little entryway. My boyfriend and I moved a couple times to be out of anyone’s way as we were deciding on what to get.

Eventually ended up going closer to the back corner, since there were so many people coming in and out.

We were both confused if they served food as well with only seeing the coffee menu only being visible, until we saw a pile of paper menus behind us when we were at the front.

Eventually we ordered I got the top cured salmon rosti and my boyfriend got the tcp sandwhich. As for our coffees he got the vanilla latte and I ended up getting a cortado with mocha.

The food was great, the salmon rosti had. Nice crunchy potatoe hash with carmelize onions on the bottom of the skillet which complimented the whole dish so well, good if you’re looking to eat something small.

My boyfriend said his sandwich was flavorful, we shared the chips they had on the side with his order.

A bit salty but still good, had a touch of vinegar, such a good crunch when we take a bite out of it, def have to try it with ketchup so good.

Coffee was rich in flavor

The only thing i have to point out is the little space there is in between tables and having to maneuver around without bumping into anyone. As for the servers as well as they were getting everyone their orders, and giving ours having to place everything in our small table.

Other than that def a place I would go to again, couldn’t help but see what everyone else got since it looked so good.“

“This is a coffee shop that is nestled next to a stream and a wooded area. If you want to be transported to another place while you read a book to sip on some tasty coffee, this is the place to be.“

“Good food if you're in a pinch for cheap food. The wait is usually insanely long. I've had to wait on line for 20 minutes before even ordering before. Then another 20 minutes for them to make it. They certainly take their time but what else can you expect from a college dining hall?“

“Food and Service is definitely better than the White Marsh restaurant. Their soups are usually Luke warm and thin. The utensils are usually not very clean (water spots) . Take out is not good the orders are not very accurate. I try to avoid the store when possible.“
