“I recently attended a gathering in the hall at this VFW. It was actually really nice and accommodating. They had a nice kitchen and a serving window a stage area plenty of tables and of course restrooms for the family and guests. It was a little chilly, perhaps I could turn the heat up a little on cold afternoons. But overall it was a great place to go and I'm sure veterans appreciate it more than I do.“

“There were 4 of us on a Friday and service was quick and friendly. Outside is deceiving and you may be tempted to drive by but inside is spacious and clean. Everyone has great meals. Fish and chips were great and fish was fresh - tasted like it would in the UK. Chicken Chesapeake was awesome and a very large serving of crab and great flavor. Would definitely go again. Very reasonable prices as well and while regular menu is small, lots of specials from steak to ribs.“
“Nice selection!! My wife and I went here on a Saturday around lunch time. Both of us got a flight so we could try multiple beers, and all of them were great! They do not have food, but they did have a food truck outside which was much better than expected. Check this place out!“
“Great bar to relax at. The bartenders are awesome, the patrons are all down-to-earth, and a decent menu for a hometown bar. Their pool tables are free on Thursday nights. Definitely recommend this bar if you just want to relax and have great conversations or be left alone.“
“This may be the weirdest review ever but here goes. I have never actually eaten here but was stationed at Aberdeen PG in 1970-71. Really enjoyed Maryland for the most part and growing up in Mississippi I was exposed to several dishes that we had never heard of at the time in the Deep South. Submarine sandwiches believe it or not were one. We had Po Boys which were similar but not exactly the same thing. Also grew to love fried clams which no one here at the time ever ate. Of course we had oysters from the gulf and plenty of blue crab but the steamed crab Maryland style was superior to our boiled crab. By the way Marylanders, many of the crabs y'all are now eating come from the gulf not Chesapeake Bay. A friend of mine who is a crabber on Lake Pontchartrain sells all of his #1 crabs for export to Maryland as he makes twice as much than selling the locally . Anyway, I do wish I could make another trip to the area and see what is new the last 50 years. From the looks on yelp, a lot. I am a foodie though and have learned to read between the lines on Yelp reviews and based on that, I would definitely give this place a try. It looks great and I feel sure it is. Bon appetite!“
