“I’ve only ordered this place Ubereats. Great food! My order is always correct even with my modifications. My favorite thing, though, is that since I’ve been in Baltimore, every single Chinese spot’s shrimp reeked of ammonia. This is the first and only spot that I’ve found with fresh food!“

“The food is delicious and the employees are courteous. The rib tips are best I’ve had in Maryland. The bourbon chicken is very delicious too. They only have two tables for dine in so if you are with a large group then it’s better to take out.
Definitely the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Maryland.“

“We visited this evening. Food was fantastic! I really enjoyed the soup dumplings! The staff was super courteous. I had brought in dessert (a cake) from outside and they were super nice about it. They even offered to refrigerate it for us! After dinner, they brought us fresh plates, forks and a knife. Despite being very busy they also don't rush you too much.“

“Nestled in a bustling shopping center alongside Honey Pig, Chin Xi'an Style Restaurant is a hidden gem that specializes in handpulled, numbing Szechuan noodles.
During our Saturday lunch visit, the restaurant was buzzing with activity. Limited seating means you might have to wait 5-10 minutes for a table during peak times, but trust me, it’s worth it. The atmosphere is casual yet vibrant, perfect for a quick meal.
We started with the 12 Hour Stewed Pork Hand Pulled Noodles and the Spicy Pork Noodles, alongside the “you pick 3” cold dishes: dried tofu skin, sweet heat cabbage, and shredded potatoes. We couldn’t resist adding a Spicy Cumin Beef Murger, served in a crisp baked flatbread.
The handpulled noodles were undeniably the highlight. Each strand was perfectly al dente, with just the right amount of chew. The stewed pork noodles stole the show—flavorful, tender, and the kind of comfort food that warms your soul. The spicy pork noodles were a bit of a letdown in comparison; while enjoyable, they lacked the bold flavor profile that made the stewed pork so memorable.
The cold dishes were a delightful accompaniment. The crunchy texture of the shredded potatoes and sweet heat cabbage provided a refreshing contrast to the chewy noodles. They added a nice touch of variety to our meal.
As for the Murger, it was decent. The cumin flavor was prominent and well-executed, making it a satisfying choice to round out our meal.
Overall, Chin Xi'an is an excellent spot for those craving authentic Szechuan flavors. The noodles are the star, and with a few tweaks to some dishes, this place could easily elevate itself to must-visit status. If you find yourself in Ellicott City, make sure to stop by for a taste of their handpulled noodles—you won’t regret it!
Vegetarian options: several vegetarian options
Parking: plenty of adjacent lot parking
Kid-friendliness: menu is somewhat friendly to kids as long as they like noodles
Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant can get a little cramped at peak hours for a wheelchair. No stairs present is a plus“

“The noodle soup was so flavorful and was perfect! I had the signature dish Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup with thin noodles. The noodles are hand pulled and made fresh every day and you can tell by the excellent texture and flavor! My new favorite restaurant! Also we were honored by four songs excellently played on the baby grand piano. Thank you for a delightful dinner, perfect service, and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend Chopin Noodle House and look forward to trying more dishes on the menu. ❤“

“Tried them for the first time today and am sold. Best Chinese food my wife and I have tasted in ages, and we lived in NYC for 4 years. Singapore mei fun - excellent. Happy family - excellent. Combination fried rice - excellent. Shrimp egg rolls - best I've ever tasted, anywhere. Steamed dumplings - very good, but the wrapping was a bit thick and the sauce was a bit scanty. We look forward to trying many, many more selections. Great job!“

“Food was delicious and straightforward. The wait time wasn’t too long, especially since you can start eating as soon as they roll out the cart of steamed and baked dishes. Highly recommend their duck and beef lo mein. Make sure to get their steamed Crystal Shrimp and steamed pork buns!“

“I have been coming here since I was a kid, and it hits every time ? It's one of the best meals you will ever have.
The crispy beef with green beans is our go-to, but we recently tried their Pan-Fried noodles, and it's one of the best I have ever experienced ?
Do yourself a favor and give them a visit. You won't be sorry!“

“Good bourbon chicken has been impossible to come by recently with the extinction of Bourbon street in the malls. I called at least 15 spots before finding Lucky Bamboo House who i was delighted to hear actually had spicy bourbon chicken. The taste was amazing and on par if not better than what i was hoping for with similarities to mall bourbon chicken that i was trying to replicate . The lo mein noodles were cooked perfectly and were full of flavor in each bite . Price was a bit high but the portion made it worth it. Will be back again and again . Highly recommend“
