“Matchbox used to be one of my favorite restaurant chains. Now that it's owned by some big corporate company, it sucks. The drinks and food are expensive at the Mosaic location. and there for very few people there. It used to have such a great vibe; it was always full of people at the tables and the bar. please bring back the original owners!“

“Cute neighborhood spot. Selection of drinks and oven fired pizza. The happy hour was vast with a cute list of specialty drinks. We came to catch up but I wasn't impressed with the menu. Definitely, a lot of vegan or trendy dishes but nothing popped out. She settled on the Beet Salad with Salmon and I a chicken sandwich with home fries. She liked her salad but I wasn't impressed with my selection. It was indeed a hearty portion but did have much flavor. The spicy Aoil is what gave it elevation. The fries were very oily and didn't have any salt. I only ate the bottom half with toppings and 1 fry. The Witches Brew was strong but needed to be microwaved. I wouldn't come back but I hear it's a neighborhood watering hole. Maybe the weekend brunch or pizza offering is better.“

“Great place to socialize! Great services, great food and drinks, great servers and bartenders, of course!!!! On top of that, the management is awesome! Quick to respond to the customers’ needs effectively. I come here very often, and it’s very safe. The manager, Ty is also awesome! I love the fact that she always rolls her sleeves and helps her team whenever they’re overloaded.“

“Nancy's kitchen is a very basic diner in terms of its atmosphere. It's tables in a space.

The wait staff, however, forms a tag team where everybody checks every table. They're all very friendly and attentive. Because of their process, you're never quite sure who to ask for something, but it turns out everybody will help with whatever you need. Coffee and water is refilled regularly.

The food is very good and the price is fair. If you are in the area and hungry, I think this is definitely a good place to stop. One confusing aspect is it is seat yourself. That isn't clear but the wait staff will guide you to seating yourself. Once you are seated, they'll bring you menus and start taking your orders.“

“In our household we care for very young and old. So food preparation and cleanliness are extremely important. Where we eat and what we bring home are something we are consciously concerned about. We have gone to this location twice now, and both experiences were so special I felt compelled to write something. First off, Kevin, a rather tall host is a special person. Even with a busy crowd, he took the time to go the extra mile, ensuring we had the extra energy to preparing our seating to accommodate our needs. He did it with such delight, it's rare to see someone help with their heart and not just because they have too. Due to a few special needs, food preparation is key. Cheers to the chefs, some folks we did not meet, but big thanks to Charles, our waiter. He ensured everything was correct, THE FIRST TIME! We do not get to eat out that often, for a variety of reasons, but this location made us feel special and welcoming and most important, gave us that sense we could trust them to care for us. Again, big props to management for hiring people like Kevin and Charles, and creating an atmosphere that you want to return too, even if you have a family with many different types of needs.“

“Amazing little diner, old school, tiny. Food made to order, simple and perfectly cooked. Easy, short menu to choose from. Great break from rushed, frozen, poorly made, bad service, modern eating. Miss classic diners like this. If you’re looking for something fancy, you’re going to be disappointed. But if you’re looking for a good quality, inexpensive meal, this is this place. Owners were very nice, and accommodating. Really appreciated grabbing breakfast here while I waited for my motorcycle to be serviced at Cycles of Silver Spring.“
