“We pulled up 3 minutes after the establishment closed, but we saw the open light on from the road. The gentleman who opened the door to tell us kindly they were closed. As we walked away he opened the door and said to us come in and we will take care of you. We were returning off of a long commute from VA and everything was pretty much closed to grab a bite to eat. Our first time ever at a Firehouse establishment and the customer service was excellent. Thank you 💗“

“We got lunch here for the first time today. Wish we had tried Gilroy's Cafe sooner! I got a garden salad with grilled chicken and the boss got an italian cold cut. The food was excellent, as was the service! Brien is so personable and friendly. The location is also easy to get to with ample parking. When I pulled into the parking spot, I noticed a small vegetable garden right next to the entrance of the cafe, with beautiful ripe tomatoes on the vines. Sure enough the salad and the sub both had fresh tomatoes from that garden, and they were superb!

If I had one suggestion, it would be to get the website and Facebook pages up and running. I noticed some great specials on the chalkboard behind the counter. It would be great to be able to see the daily specials online before calling in our order!

“Treated the kids out to dinner. This was our first time eating at Charley’s. Walking through the door, Sophie greeted us with pleasant vibes… almost as if we were her regulars. Ordering process was fast and easy and food didn’t take long at all. Everything tasted hot and fresh. The cheesesteaks had the perfect portion of steak and the meat had a really good taste, seasoned well. The bacon cheese fries were phenomenal. For dessert, we had these little cinnamon & sugar bites which was served hot and fresh… just wish it came with icing to dip em in. Washed everything down with a mango and watermelon lemonade. Both were delicious and had real fruit pieces in it, freakin awesome! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning in the near future, but this time I think I’ll get double meat on my footlong steak sub. They are very attentive to their customers & keep it clean & neat. It’s next to Stevenson University. It’s in walking distance. Although I can only eat salad, there's never an issue with cross contamination. I've NEVER had a problem at this location. This is why this is the only location I feel safe eating.“

The restaurant was clean and the service really lived up to the “freaky fast” reputation. “I never thought I would have to ask for bacon on the club sub but the young man was rushing us through the line and never put the Bacon on at all. It’s a shame you spend your money and can’t get what you want. And then I don’t know if she was being smart but I asked for hots but I can’t eat this sandwich I asked for the hot spread that I normally her it’s so many hots on here the sandwich is ruined !! I wanted to try the cheesesteak because it looked good when I walked in and saw the man making it but this sandwich is horrible. I never have any problems out of the one in Whitemarsh, or Glenburnie where I work or Eastern Ave but I will not be returning to this location!!“
