Order and watch it get built then baked. The crust is made in-house. In order to expedite service the crust is par baked. Pie names are unique and the topping combinations are well thought out. I can't say enough for the local Maryland style seasoned fries. This is a long standing family business with a back story in snacking nuts. That's how Nut House gets its name.“

“A very inviting corner restaurant, great for people watching and cocktails. The drinks were nice and the atmosphere was lux. We went on a Saturday and it just felt like they needed a manager around. Felt like they were really understaffed and not ready for the crowds. There were some people who had worked there longer and were directing others, and the food did come out of the kitchen timely. But there wasn't a sense of table service really, you just catch them when you can, know the candle won't get lit even after you asked and teach the server how to swipe the card. I wish they had someone tending to things, but maybe when it's slower it will be better. The pizza was good, and lots of pepperoni. I wished it wasn't quite as soggy in the middle but it tasted good. And the burrata had no flavor, no nice olive oil or pepper, very bland, but it was a hearty portion. Can't complain about the drinks. I can sense when there's no service concept so I hope they get it together.“

Talk to her boss he really likes to play piano and guitar music no lyrics just a nice calm environment and of all things. Something from the Skyrim soundtrack started playing and that’s when I knew I definitely should’ve came here earlier. And then there’s the special soda drinks available from the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise and a couple of Asian snacks I’m gonna have to try a few things.“

“I have loved many pizza places. None of them has been as consistently amazing as Martha Dear. The guanciale and arugula pie I had last night is another utterly stunning iteration. I will think about this one in my sleep. I will crave it. As much as I will stand on a soapbox telling anyone who will listen that Martha Dear is not just THE best pizza in the DMV, but one of the best restaurants in the area, it is the conspicuously kind service that is the first thing I will mention. If you’ve never been, put Martha Dear at the very top of your restaurant to-do list. The very top.“

“I'm a regular at Angelo's almost every Tuesday during the fall middle school and spring high school softball seasons. I stop there between the game I umpire and teaching religious education around the corner at St. Patrick's. I will say that the quality at Angelo's is outstanding. I usually do a combination cheeseburger sub or steak and cheese. They are excellent. Plus, the fries are real fries that come out of the deep frier nice and crispy. I often will treat my religious education class to pizzas from Angelo's and they always tell me it's good pizza. Finally, they have Little Gina's pizzels. They're an Italian cookie my Italian mom would make and they are exactly like she would cook them. So, if you want some great pizza or sub plus some really crispy fries, I highly recommend Angelo's. Maybe I'll see you there some Tuesday!“

The drinks and food are expensive at the Mosaic location. and there for very few people there. It used to have such a great vibe; it was always full of people at the tables and the bar. please bring back the original owners!“

“Red Hound Pizza has become the favorite pizza place in Takoma Park for me and many of my friends who live nearby. Their pizzas are hearty and delicious with a thick, 100% whole wheat crust using flours that are grown and milled by one of their neighbors just down the street. They also use local produce when possible and therefore their veggie pizza rotates every two weeks. They also have soft serve which rotates regularly with fun toppings like roasted pear or dehydrated chocolate cake. The owners are really great. The pizza is on the expensive side ($4-5/slice) compared to other pizza so you gotta pay a premium for high-quality ingredients. They also sell pizza by the slice. You can dine-in for casual eating -- they only have a few small tables inside and some more picnic tables in a closed off parking lot in the back. Take note: their pizza is rectangular! And the crust will taste different from almost any other pizza you've had bc of the 100% whole wheat sourdough. Also they don't have gluten-free options but they do always have a vegan option. fwiw Red Hound always uses 100% whole grains -- this will appeal to some (more protein, more fiber!) and not to others.“

“We saw this pizza place on a pizza show and we went today. They immediately asked us if it was our first time, and gave us a 10 dollar off our first visit. Our waitress Mya could not have been nicer or more informative about the menu. Most delicious Gorgonzola pizza ever. And we got a ricotta n meatball that was to die for. Bathrooms were so fancy n clean. So terrific food, terrific price, service and ambiance. Best pizza place I’ve ever been to. Truely. We lived it! My Sangria was so good too!“

The rigatoni, the dinner salad and the salmon kabobs were all well-prepared, great portion, very enjoyable. Let me say that my mother’s side is Southern Italian from outside of Naples, and was part of the immigrant generation 100 years ago that invented spaghetti and meatballs.
