“I love this place. The family fully operates this lively restaurant / bar and serves the best pupusas and my favorite lomo saltado- but don’t skip the steak tacos. Whatever mama marinates that steak in I end up having it 2-3 times a week. The micheladas are delicious too. Stop by this no frills venue from the 80’s for some laughs with the locals and industry folk who end their night here post shift. Love Judy’s and the staff.“

“Wow this restaurant was amazing! Located in the heart of DC, it’s easy to get here by bus or metro. The menu was very diverse with many Mexican, Italian and Salvadoran options. I chose to get the Camarones ala parrilla (grilled shrimp) and a Pupusa de queso (cheese pupusa). You could tell this is authentic the food is from the taste. The staff was also quite helpful. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back!“

“Delicious food, very fresh ingredients. Our table especially loved the excellent salmon, fajitas, pupusas, guac, house-made tortillas, and the amazing chocolate cheesecake. We had plenty of leftovers of everything except the cheesecake, so we bought more cheesecake to take home.\n\nThe staff and new owner were extraordinarily kind, helpful, patient, and attentive to our table with a lot of special needs. “Great place that I stumbled on today in Hyattsville. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, from the complementary chips and salsa to the huge beef burrito (one of the lunch specials today) and fried plantains. Excellent tasting. Friendly service. I look forward to trying more dishes.“

“Some of the best pupusas I’ve ever had, the epitome of the perfect pupusa, cheesy, fluffy and delicious. Freshly made and really hot off the grill, loved the lettuce and sauce on the side as well. Highly recommend. The pina juice was good too.“

They offer quite the variety of foods plus a lot of beer too.

The people there were very friendly, and happy to converse with (and figure out what food to pick haha).

I ended up getting the Indian Hen Soup. A simple but warm and pleasant soup with three huge pieces of chicken on the side. The portions are very generous, do expect to leave some for tomorrow!“
